FBA fees for storage are very high and a beginner with a smaller capital reserve might benefit starting out FBM and make five ten or twenty K before switching over to FBA. Things can get lost too and losing your product starting out can be a big hit. Plus with FBA you gotta buy expensive barcodes. Both are good but FBA is for sure for the more experienced sellers who have dialed in their math and their metrics to afford all the fees and still grow and benefit with the prime preferred sales
In your 8 years of experience, I think you’re taking for granted the learning curve involved with setting up an Amazon store. FBM is the way to go when you’re first getting started though, especially if you’re new to selling online. It’s literally “The tuition fee”.
Profitability with FBM is significantly higher. I’ve been fba for 10 years. Just started fbm, and regret not starting sooner. No “lost” inventory. No storage fees. No long term storage fees. No removal order fees. You can make money on shipping. More control over returns and the costs. The biggest issue with fbm for me is how amazons shitty algorithm favors fba. I wish it didn’t, if amazon did their job correctly instead of stealing your inventory, refusing to pay, gating you after your stuff was already at fba, refunding customers 6 months later without your permission, I wouldn’t have even considered fbm.
Fees are higher, getting charged for the space your items take up, you have to label everything before you send it in, your boxes you send in can only be "x" dimensions, etc. I'll stick with FBM. Still making plenty of money.
I tried FBA so many hidden fees especially when you are not selling. Storage fees, seller account fees etc, interest fees etc. it is difficult to compete for prices as it is saturated already with Chinese vendors
i work in amazon warehouse , i know the negative side of fba, the people in amazon they always delay the product to go on the way to storage , i always seen the product on the floor over weeks and no one come to solve it out , maybe there is a label missing or little bit damage , and their problem solving team take ages to come and take the stuff , i'm currently starting amazon seller centre , i think fbm is much more better ofc it takes more time to deal with the product , but at least there wont be unnecessarily problems .
Is there a way to begin selling on Amazon without holding inventory? Meaning it could be started with no revenue ideally. Once an order is placed the manufacturer ships it out. I’m trying to learn / look at my options
Can we drop off our finished products to their Amazon warehouse so that they can take care of our orders and shipping then prime if we apply for the Amazon handmade business plan?
I recently switched from FBA to FBM, cuz Amazon lost about 13% of my inventory in their warehouse and wouldn’t reimburse me for anything. I sell LEGO primary, maybe that why the % of lost inventory were so high cuz Amazon employees might snitched out here and there.
Only true if your lazy and think u will be able to dumb thousands into a product and it instantly sell, when u first start it’s gonna take you like 5-10 items to find a hot seller you can compete with, also the whole dealing with customer support is BS, with Amazon’s trash return policy, there is no talking or anything to them, you give them a refund or they cancel the request, if not it’s just gonna hurt your account health

Fba is easier.
You're better off being an eBay seller than an FBM seller.
Steve is such a great dude. All he’s ever done is try to be helpful.
As a beginner , if you do FBA, you lose money even if you don't have sales yet.. Good advice man.. 😅

You can set up Seller Fulfilled Prime and still get the buy box. This video distinctly isnt for New Sellers.

Yes, through dropshipping
You can get a prime badge with fbm give the people right information

Nobody mentions even with fba your product isnt ever likely to be listed at the top as ppl constantly under price you
FBM can work, but you’re missing out on the Prime customers. FBA helps you reach way more buyers, man.

What happens to “your merchandise” when returned to Amazon?
Doesn’t, it gets sent directly back to you. (Your business address, home address, etc.)
It is good.
🚲You've captured the essence perfectly.☺.May your unwavering commitment to excellence be the driving force behind your career success.
As a beginner I knew Fba would be the better choice if ure willing to put in a little extra
NEVER EVER believe anyone who speaks off camera to a wall pretending there is someone else there! LOL
I was live on YT lol
So do Amazon insist you only ship to them with boxes.
Do they allow satchels or padded envelopes.
now with minimum inventory requirement, FBM is the way if you can't keep that level low and high..
Who is bro talking to 😅
Great question!

Can you switch from FBM to the FBA?
That's funny that you say that because eBay doesn't have any fulfillment service
Not everyone is approved for fba
What about all the other channels apart from Amazon to sell on that sending your inventory to Amazon excludes?
