if you want a pencil which is softer than the tombow ones but not so soft that you have to sharpen it all the time, consider the Faber Castell Polychromos (as I'm sure you've heard). They have nice colours, they're not super soft but they are artist grade so lightfast and highly pigmented.
@@ElizavetaSmirnovaArt I think you might like their dark indigo, light ultramarine, light cobalt turquoise and cinnamon colours, based on the palette in this video. I also really like the burnt carmine as a warm red-purple toned brown!
@@ElizavetaSmirnovaArt I can also recommend Polychromos as a great medium-hardness pencil, doesn't break or crumble even with lots of pressure, and stays sharp for a long time. I use skin tone colors the most (browns, beiges, cinnamon, coral...) but out of the other colors I'd highlight warm grays, earth green, light red violet, indanthrone blue, cobalt turquoise. My favorite brown is caput mortuum violet, I always use it in portrait shadows and for quick sketching. Luminance are on my wishlist, but I've already splurged so much on pencils, I'll wait a little longer 😅
I've got em in my arsenal. I'm in love with my Pablos. Got em the same day. I like to color the moment. I'm thinking about recreating a Bob Ross original with my Luminance pencils.
Thank you for this video. You've done a beautiful sketch. I have the whole collection of the luminance pencils ( I know, it is luxurious, but I spent my money on art supplies and not on jewelry) and I love them. They have the widest range on mutet colors. The Derwent Drawing Pencils are my second "loved ones" and - as a German - I love of course the Faber Castell Polychromos, especially the water soluble ones. I would be interested to see you working with watercolor pencils. It would be a perfekt combination for your technic. Perhaps we can have a video on this. Have a good time!
Hi! Thank you very much for leaving a comment:) Wow, I am very jealous of your collection (in a good way of course)! I think it's great to have an opportunity to buy good art supplies and you definitely don't need to justify buying art supplies with me haha I also spend all my spare money on art supplies, so I understand you very well😅 As for watercolour pencils, I've never tried them before, so it might be an interesting idea for a new video:)
I like that you keep touch with the paper to the tip of your pencil as you move from one area to the next. Very nicely done and a smooth sketch! Enjoying this very much with inspiration! God bless you ~ thanks!
Your channel is exquisite! Thankyou for sharing your gorgeous artwork & supplies with us! Have you considered signing up for the Jackson’s affiliate program.. . You can leave a link in the video description & when we order through your link you get a little bit to spend on art supplies at their store, so you can grow your Luminance collection! Have a wonderful week!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your kind words☺️ I know about the affiliate programme that you mentioned but I decided that my channel is too small for that at the moment haha but that’s definitely something I’ll consider doing at some point!⭐️
100% agree with you! Even though I love using them, I always have this thought in my mind that I should just save them for better times (whatever it may mean haha)

Oh yes! Need to try Polychromos pencils too! Do you have favourite colours in their collection?

@@juliettepearce1376 I already want to try them just by hearing the names of the colours hahaha thank you for the suggestions!
You're welcome! Would love to see what you think of them, when the time comes 😊

Lovely sketch and video. Your Derwent Drawing pencils are great too, although even softer than the Luminance. I look forward to more content from you.

How can you live with such a small number of pencils?
i love them, but so very expensive lol i bught a bunch and hardly use them because at £3 a pencils it hurts to use them
