    the fact that he was able to shuffle the deck to the "svengali" deck perfectly is a feat unto itself I believe.

    Doug, you beautiful human being...
    When I was around 11 I bought a svengali deck on accident, thinking it was just a regular deck of cards. 11 year old me was disappointed, and the deck was forced into the shadow realm of no-usage. I picked up the deck a couple weeks ago, trying to think of fun ways to use it but always got stuck. This video came at a perfect time. Thank you very much!

    Just bought a new deck. Found a neat way to end it by separating the deck into two stacks of 21 cards. When they pick one needless to say i remove all the force cards and do the 21 cards trick. My new deck has two Jacks which i use for the final Simese twins trick to finish it all out to find their card.

    Sometimes, having the deck change into the same card is good, however to do it, you need to switch the deck to a normal deck (or a force deck potentially) and give it to your spectator as a souvenir. But I agree, most of the time showing that all of the cards in the deck are the same is a bad idea.

    • @seankessens5148
      @seankessens5148 Год назад

      Yea.i don't know anything about truck cards just seen this deck at a store called stoners so I thought it was cool so I got it but showing that all the cards are the same to a regular person that has no idea about trick cards or tricks wont think anything of someone showing all the cards are the same looks real to someone like me but people just starting out showing all the cards is prob just something everyone does including you at one time I'm assuming so to the average Joe showing the cards are a there won't seem fishy but to someone like you that knows about tricks is another story buy then again its probably a brotherhood and you would know the guy would have a trick deck n keep your hush hush

    How do you prevent spectators asking to inspect the deck? What about composing that with other tricks and possibly needing to swap decks?

  • @kickassmage
    @kickassmage 2 года назад

    What I do is, i always have a picture of the force card on my phone and prior to doing the trick i send the photo to someone random or the main spectator, then I do the whole shabang and tell the person to check their texts and bang Amazement

    I've got my svengali deck and having fun so far - one problem which i keep encountering tho is that sometimes when I cut the deck, the bottom card might be a force card that's lifted up with the rest. I'm really trying to only use my thumb and middle finger to lift the deck by the end, but somehow that still happens every once in a while and has messed up the trick here and there - any tips?

    • @DougConn
      @DougConn  22 дня назад +1

      Tapping the deck against the table before the key action can/will “settle” the short cards insuring better success (mishaps will occur, just stay aware)

    One problem with the Svengali deck is that you can't play more than one trick on the same person or he/she will get suspicious there's always the same card involved.
