This one in combination with the "we care", as I see it, is a way of criticizing humans who have become immune to humanity, strangely enough, and scientific progress at any cost has become too important for "us" to care. Listen to "we care", I think that one is the potential view of what we consider "aliens", but the actual aliens are we, because we don't care. Humans have become the enemies of themselves.

I can't help but imagine this and "We Care" as a sort of dialogue between humans and aliens or gods. This being the human's perspective, thinking they're advancing and evolving but at the same time killing themselves. They think they're alone, alone as in being the only advanced species, or in space until the "aliens" from "We Care" come from space and examine our blue planet and sharing their perspective. Of course, music can be interpreted differently by everyone but just my opinion.
