Hello from southeast alaska I'm putting together a scx24 aluminum chassis tonight.i got Emax servo and aluminum mount. Next doing 66t motor into the trans.
I freaking love my Cheat Code! Bella Bronco is amazing!!! I do love the cliffhanger! Great job on the paint. Hope to be shooting a video comparing mine with my buddy’s cliffhanger Cheat Code on portals later today. Great video, Matt!
The noise is probably from you overdriving the hell out of it. I'm guessing the motor does make a bit of difference but if you take the overdrive out of the front it will be quieter. Love your content. Please keep it up. It's greatly appreciated.
Yeah that definitely makes a difference. That’s part of the reason I was just running with it after checking the trans but it still seemed way too loud even for the overdrive lol. That motor is insanely loud in person.
As for the chassis... Man, oh man. I already wanted one. Now... I REALLY want one. I just did my first lcg chassis build with a Mofo 333. Everything went together so great, I'm ready for another one. Now... big question is, can we get one for the Gladiator?
Have you tried filing down a stock screw. The angle let’s it get deeper into the hole to cut threads. You might have bore the hole out a little bit. Using a 1.2mm drill bit.
I know you said you love this frame, and it's probably between this one and your Hard Park crawlers frame, but other than the bling I'm not seeing it. Yeah, this one is nice and it has some flexibility as far as mounting your links, but the battery still mounts in the back (unless you mount it on the rock sliders). All of the hard park crawlers frame also mount the battery in the back. With these tiny little trucks, weight distribution is everything. The heaviest/highest mounted weight is the battery. In my opinion, being able to mount the battery up front is key. I've been looking hard for a frame that will allow you to mount the battery up front AND has some flexibility as far as mounting the upper links. Looks like the Furitek Grasshopper does both. Have you looked at that one? If I'm way off base on this, please correct me. You do A TON more crawling than I do.
Mattt, a good friend of mine once told me. Stick with one vehicle and get really good at it. We're not friends any more lol. JK. Keep on Keepin on brother!
What do you think of the new injora hi clearance link set that is stainless steel will a plastic screw on ball joint and the brass or aluminum balls pushes thru one side, really liking all the fcx24 vids too !!
@@2fmrc what do you do with the foams that come in the rc4wd scramblers, trim, v notch, throw them out ? Seems still I don’t have the full send wheel weights yet either, still waiting on them to arrive for the stamped steels
Matt, In the screw kit, did you use the nuts in the kit to install the 4-links? I ordered a screw kit and the nuts don't match up with any of the screws.
Yes I used the nuts that came with it. It looks like they come with lock nuts now. Mine came with just regular ones. I would’ve preferred lock nuts. The nuts don’t fit the screws? Are they just wheel nuts that are included?
Man kick ass Matt!! I've been trying to get one of them chassis but haven't been able. Don't remember when I last msg the gentleman on the site. The my job won't allow me to. (We keep America going at all hours) Hopefully one day I'll be able to. Keep up the vids Mr. awesome reviews too. Rock on 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Those are the older Treal oil filled shocks right? I got the Mofo oil shocks and really like the dampening but want more travel... and less leaking lmao. Do you know why they stopped making them? or if they'll ever come back? I really want a set
The last time I asked I was told they were looking for softer springs to put with them. Which don’t make much sense but that’s what they said. I am running some vlp springs from the old double barrels on mine. These are the only oil filled shocks I’ve ran that are actually smooth and don’t leak like crazy lol
I definitely need to get my hands on a Cheat Code. All I hear is nothing but good things about the awesome chassis. Got a question for you Matt. What causes the cogging on the motors? I have the same problem with my micro komodo. But, when I switch to the nano beast, there is no cogging. What's going on?
I didn’t have any issue with that one until it just died on me. Now it just won’t run correctly. I really don’t know. Figure something internal went bad or a short in the wires. Haven’t been able to find anything for sure causing it though.
I really like the Hard Park Goblin also. You can get the regular or xl for extended setups. It’s a great chassis that comes with the sliders etc. You can also get the Injora lcg chassis for super cheap and it’s a great chassis. It don’t have the sliders but works really well. amzn.to/3pSzpas
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! So, how's that FMS compensation going for you and where do I sign up? I want my lifetime payment of one truck. LMAOOOO Man... some people.
Haha! Exactly! I’m like I basically built this channel off the scx24 and you think I’m gonna start pushing a brand because they give me 1 truck?!!! I wouldn’t have even mentioned the freebie if I was trying to do that lol. I just actually love that truck so far.
@@2fmrc I'm inove with that truck, too. And haven't been able to order it yet. When I saw the Louisiana license plate stickers, I was sold. I live in South Carolina but, was born and raised in Louisiana... 42 years. I'm definitely what you'd call one of them bona-fide Cajuns. Top it off, that truck reminds me of something you might see someone rolling up to the little boucherie in some backwater community of, say, Gueydan or Whiskey Bay. LOL

Ok, definitely gonna start collecting parts for one of these. Hopefully he gets some more units ready to ship soon.

Yeah the micro fpv quad packs are the way to go
Great build! Do you think a C10 body with no bed would work on this lcg?
Thanks! I would think so. It may not line up with the sliders like the cliffhanger but it would probably fit pretty well on the chassis.

I thought my nano beast 2.0 was already loud enough. Cant imagine the micro komodo is even louder
Airsoft bb mud pit is great idea
My first gen kamodo is crazy loud moving forward, but quiet and smoother and reverse. I can’t figure it out
Yeah they are just some really loud motors
matt, what bolts/screws did you use? cant find the link in the description
Sorry about that. Here they are!

I actually have hardware kits that will be in stock july 8th on site if you are still in need
What size are the injora internnal shocks. 32mm or 40mm?
What small lipo battery pack are you using ?
Sorry. Thought I linked it. It’s this one

Yeah I thought about tossing something else like that in for some different size stuff to mix in! The bbs from amazon work great though lol
Okay I get it takes some work to do but 2 flat pieces of metal and 5 printed bits for 100$ 🥶 think I’m good
I’ll check the cvds tho
Then hook up esc. RADIOLINK recevier transmitter and power hobby pro lipo 450mah 7.4 battery my first time doing electrics

No I haven’t. Looks very similar though!

if you use the 4mm wide cvd what you put on the rear axle ?
A set of hot racing +4mm shafts. Forgot to mention those lol
