DIY - escultura de ovelha com chifres em espiral - Large Horned Sheep Sculpture

The Spanish Merino is considered one of the oldest known domestic sheep and is a descendant of a primitive wild sheep native to Asia Minor. It is an imposing animal, with a large volume of wool. The horns are large with a triangular base, in relatively open spirals, with waves along their entire length - O Merino espanhol é considerado um dos ovinos domésticos mais antigo de todos os conhecidos e é descendente de um ovino selvagem primitivo natural da Ásia Menor. É um animal imponente, com grande volume de lã. Os chifres são grandes com base triangular, em espirais relativamente abertas, com ondulações em toda a extensão.

So happy to see a new sculpture! Wish the videos were a lot longer. Can you tell me what mix you use for the cement detailing?

For the cement detailing I use fine sand, water, cement, and quarzolite plasticizer additive. When the work is still on the screen, the mixture is medium sand/cement 2:1. At the final stage the mixture is fine sand/cement 1:1. At this point the mixture is very strong so I use plasticizer additive and sometimes it is necessary to use water spray to avoid cracks. The sculptures are made to stay under sunlight and rain, the final coat has to be strong.
