I remember you posting videos about this, was it last year or the year before? I have walls very similar to yours and they really are very poor for insulation, it cost £8K to get them properly insulated but as an investment it was worth it. I now heat the whole house to 21 degrees 24/7 for £10 a week in gas but that would probably rise to maybe £20 a week if the outside temperature dropped negative for the whole week which doesn't really happen very much anymore in the UK. Do you have a dehumidifier or two? One thing I find is 21 degrees of 50% RH air feels a lot warmer than 21 degrees of 80% RH air. I run the dehumidifiers from batteries charged on off peak electricity for a bit of a saving.
Hi Thanks for that, does the box require ventilation as it drawes air from the box into your home.
there is a hole underneath for air to get in
cheers andy
