Apple CarPlay works with your current entertainment system. It gives an additional screen overlay that can be accessed via the ‘back’ button in the car. Once activated scroll the menu and select compatible Apps from your phone. This all works with your car and uses a compatible module, hidden away from view.
The Audi Q5 is a compact SUV with a luxury feel. The entertainment system is accessed through a navigation wheel in the centre of the car and viewed through a screen on the dash. The carplay module does change the current system in anyway (does not make it touchscreen), it simply gives an updated system compatible with Waze and Spotify.
