Thank you so much for this video. This builds hope for me. My cat was just tested positive today. I broke down into tears, but I suddenly remembered you. I knew you would have some content out there regarding this. I am going to do everything I can to save her. Please do pray for her. Update: My cat survived 🙏😊
@@bushraansari7081 hey, sorry to hear that :'( I wish I could offer more help but at least in my case it was either a false positive, or I got the kitten while it was already on its way to recovery. Hydration seems to be the most important thing, but if you use Pedialyte get the unflavored one. Even better is the subcutaneous fluid that you can get at the vet.
My kitten Misty was 4 weeks old when I discovered her in a pet store. I knew I had to take her home; she looked so sad in her cage and shouldn't have even been there so young! She seemed fine the first few days; she did have a little diarrhea but I assumed it was due to the stress of moving to a new environment. As the week progressed, she developed anorexia and began losing weight (she started out at just under 1 lb.) Finally, after bringing her into the vet for several days in a row, they perform the parvo test on her and it came back positive. The vet said there was nothing that could be done at that point... My poor baby sadly passed away the next day. We'd only had her a week. The whole family was devastated, but we were so glad to have known this little kitten. She was the sweetest thing ever, and we were glad that she didn't die in the pet store as some nameless kitten; she had a home where she was loved deeply. We lost her this past September but I still miss her so much...
I'm so sad to hear this... Just yesterday my little kitten that I rescued off the street died the same way. Such a similar story too.. Took him to the vet once he had diarrhea, and he was fine and playful, but after a few days he suddenly refused to eat and had massive wight loss... Tried feeding him with a syringe, warming him up, round the clock... Only to lose him :'( I don't understand why the vet didn't suggest hospitalization so he could get an IV or something to help... So sad right now :(
Im so sorry for your loss. The same thing Just happened to me and my family 😔 we had a beautiful little 2 1/2 month old kitten for one week. We had to put him down because of parvo. We're so heartbroken 💔 but he was so loved by all of us and I wouldn't change his time with us for the world. 🤍❤ R.I.P beautiful babies
Oh man this takes me back several years ago when I did a rescue of a senior cat with terminal kidney disease and I had to learn how to do at home fluid therapy. Rocky was so calm and accepting for each session. I did it via a slow drip of 2 cc from liter bag so I turned it into a hold and cuddle time. We were able to give him another year of quality time before his poor body shut down. He was an abused kitty so he had other physical problems as well. I'll never forget his eyes when he cuddled with me in the evenings. I still miss him.
I know you said this two years ago, but i need to remind you you're a hero to that kitty. You gave him so much love and a while extra year, with the best care he'd probably ever had. I hope you're still being a hero, two years later 🥰
I had a kitten who had panlukepenia. It was frustrating since none of the vets knew what was going on and she developed anemia from it. I didn't give up and now she is my fat and healthy 10 month old!
A mother cat came by my house an left 6 little babies an just left lord I don't no anything to do for these little guys one is not looking to good very thin an sickly looks much like this but why would she do this she still has not come back what do I do love your show so informative thanks.
i found out about this parvo in my cat on first day he started to vomit and brought to vet. i was so sad and not able to take it..but i did everything that i could to save him..extensive care..i had to get up every hour to give him food and hydrated..check on feces..it was tiring and stressfull..but it all worth it..i was so lucky since he diagnose on the first day of the infection..and thank god...HE SURVIVED...im more than happy to see him back to normal and play with his siblings. Thanks for your video.. sharing great tips on making more cuties survivor..
My own cat had this (spoiler alert: and survived!) as a kitten. When we adopted her from the shelter, the vet told us that she could throw up due to stress of a new environment for around a week, so we thought nothing of it when she threw up a few times as soon as she came home. She loved eating and she was so playful like a normal kitten, so we never suspected that she might be sick. Three days after we adopted her, we found a wriggling parasite in her throw-up, so we immediately took her to a 24-hour vet at 2 am. After running some tests, the vet learned that she had parasites in her belly, which was easily treatable, but also that she had panleukopenia. Ironically, it was thanks to the parasites that we were able to detect the virus so early on. The vet told us that the normal survival rate is around 10%, but with panleukopenia, it is all about the percentage "game." They can raise the chances of survival by doing certain treatments. It also depends on the cat's will to live. My boyfriend and I were both in college, so we weren't exactly rich, but my boyfriend broke all of his savings to raise her chances as much as he could. In the end, she stayed in a special isolated room with a 24/7 IV hooked up for 2 weeks. She had various treatments and even a blood transfusion when it seemed like she was getting worse. It cost around $4500 dollars for everything, but every penny was worth it. She is now nearly 3 years old and she is an amazing friend. She is super playful, affectionate, and loving. I think she somehow knows that we saved her life because she loves me more than any other cat I've had.
Thanks so much 💕💕 She really is a fighter! Even from the first blood test they did, she wriggled and meowed like a crazy cat. The vet said that she fought so hard against them that he knew she would fight even harder against the virus. Thank you for making videos like this. I love all of your videos and I've watched nearly every single one. Because of your channel, I plan to become a foster home after I move into my own place in the near future. Your channel is so inspiring and educational. 😻
Have you ever just looked at somebody and thought that they’re an actual angel? Like, there’s a difference between being a great person and an angel. What this woman does is angelic and so amazing. The fact she saves all these kittens and acts so selflessly is amazing. This woman is an angel.
OMG! This little angel has been through everything! First no Mom or family, second fleas dehydration & cold, then neonate ophthalmia, & now this. In spite of it all she is the luckiest kitten on earth! She has you. Thanks for saving her & thanks for caring for her.
I just found this channel and seriously this women deserves way more subcribers she helps animals but yet people like Logan Paul he has alot of fame and yet he can be cruel but this lady she help and deserves way more fame. Btw new subcriber here🤗
My kitten was diagnosed with panleuk when he was 8 weeks old. He spent 5 days in the hospital and initially the vet recommended I put him down because she thought he wouldn’t make it. I personally felt that leaving this world should be his choice and it was my responsibility to give him the best chance to fight it out. Luckily he is a super strong boy. He responded so well to the treatments and after he came home, I followed everything you said in your video (minus plasma) .. right now he’s on his third week in isolation and he is doing so well! Thank you very much for sharing hank’s story 💕
She was named "Hank" because they thought she was a boy at first. The name had already stuck once they found out she's a girl so they just kept the name.
Thank you for this! This past March while in a temp rescue our 2 cats got panleuk. My twin daughters cat pulled through (barely) but has had a rocky recovery, while my other daughters therapy cat sadly did not. We were notified 4 days after she passed which was less than 24hrs after getting sick. It has forever altered our family and has left my 5 kids heartbroken. I'm also told the rescue lost 3 of their own cats at the same time and at least 1 other rescue. This is a virus I knew nothing about until it affected our cats and one I wish I had. We were told that its 95% fatal if not caught early and treated vigorously. I hope Hank continues to thrive and that this info helps save other kitties.
I am so thankful for this video! My 6-week old babys both got panleuk. Thanks to you one of them survived and is now a super healthy boy. The other kitten, Neo, was way too small and died but we tried our best! Keep up the great work Hannah !
we found out our foster cat has this virus today. I've been crying all day but now I'm taking notes from this video. thank you so much Hannah. he's at the vet clinic right now, getting fluids and trying to survive. if he does we will adopt her. I'm hoping and praying he does.
This is a great guide! Thank you for making it- very comprehensive. It takes me back to my first foster kittens, a litter from the ACCT with Calicivirus, who’s mother was put down because she was too sick. Repeated sub-Q fluids made all the difference. I lost one of the four kittens, and felt guilty, but in the end was so grateful she didn’t pass alone in the shelter. Thanks for emphasizing the reality of losing kittens and how to cope.W/ LOVE from Philly
I just had 2 orange kittens with this and I was able to help them thanks to you , your book, and an amazing supportive fostering community. THANK YOU. ❤
I am so sorry, Gem. This is a horrible virus. Hannah posted on her Instagram about Poppy, a tiny kitten that passed away just yesterday from this virus. It's very very sad.
Today morning at 6.30 a. m. I lost my two and half month old kitten due to Panleukopania virus attack. It's name was Olaf. Me and my husband really shattered by his sudden loss. He was very cute and hyperactive kitten😢❤
Baby Hankie!!! I'm so glad she's doing better & that she was rescued by you! You're an amazing person to all of these animals! While I'd LOVE to have Hankie wrapped up in her blankie, she just adores you!!! The was she was looking up at you was just precious! We LOVE you, Hankie!!!
Thank you for this video Hannah. I’m rewatching this now as my foster kittens’ mum just passed tonight with FPV. I’m hoping by some miracle that they were not infected as they are weaned and were separated by a crate from mum but I know statistically that it’s unlikely. I hope that if they do end up positive I can at least try to give them a fighting chance. Thank you for helping Hank and countless other vulnerable kittens 💜 RIP Ru, you were loved
seeing sweet lil Hank getting that full-massage made this information much easier to swallow (hard not to get emotional, im so glad she's okay, you're an inspiration TTvTT)
My second ever time fostering kittens we had a scare with panleukopenia! It ended up being giardia, but I remember being at the humane society, waiting to hear about the panleuk test results... All of my foster kittens and the mom were fine, but it took like 3 months to get rid of the giardia This is an amazing video, and I'm so happy little Hank lived!
I know this video is sort of old, but i just wanted to say thank you so much for posting all of this info. We adopted a kitten (who was only 6 weeks old) about 3 months ago and he tested positive for panleukopenia 3 days later. We followed everything in this video and worked closely with our vet and he survived! Thank you so much for contributing to his survival. His name is Sam and he's such a meaningful part of our family and we are so happy he's still around.
Most people I’ve talked to who have had kittens with FPV said their vets immediately recommended euthanasia. I’m glad you’re putting this information out their so people know that they do have a chance and that there are other options besides being put down.
Some vets just can't be bothered to help. It happened to us when our Chihuahua mix who was thirteen at the time got heartworms. One vet said no she's too old she'll die during trwi. Another vet did the treatment and she survived
Thanks for this, Hannah. Today I'm taking my first batch of babies for the season, and having lost so many to panleukopenia last year, I'm developing a protocol for our entire rescue to use. I want us all to have the tools we need right off the bat so that we can save more of them.
I think you'r doing a wonderful job helping these kittens and how you are helping sanctuaries help kittens and cats. I love you and you'r work. Don't ever give up, we all stand with you
Hank isn't a babygirl anymore, she's a Supergirl now 😁 I'm glad you made this video. When I saw your posts on Instagram, I didn't know what this virus was, so I'm glad you made this video to explain. This is really important ! Felt sad to see Hank ill, but seeing her now, falling asleep in your arms, really warms my heart. She's such a sweetheart !
I remember looking up panleukopenia after Baby Girl Hank was diagnosed and reading that 90-95% of kittens with it pass away, even with treatment. I was so worried about her and I'm still ecstatic that she beat it! Hank is the best!
My two current fosters are panleuk survivors as were the last two. All four are now healthy and happy. The only sign they were ever sick is a strong will to live. The two I have now, Kirk and Kyra, have been adopted and will go to their new home next week. Thank you, Kitten Lady, for this video. It's a nasty disease but it doesn't have to be a death sentence.
Another life saved! Thank you so, so much for creating your kitten-care videos!! I'm new to fostering- picked up my first litter from Los Angeles City shelter and had a blast! With healthy, happy kittens in a loving forever home and kitten season in full swing, I agreed to take home a tiny singleton. (How much trouble could one little fur baby be?) A day later the vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy set in. He was fading fast and I knew I was his only hope. A fellow foster-mom suggested your RUclips channel-- I followed your advise to a T-- daily visits to the vet for fluids and vitamin shots, round-the-clock syringe feedings with all the added goodies. Day 5 he ate on his own and by Day 7 was bright eyed and pouncing! Thank you! Thank you! These videos save lives!!
Yay Hank im so proud of you and Hannah of course. I foster kittens who are in perfect shape and its overwhelming, so I dont know how you do that! So inspiring and I love you and Hank!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
this unfortunately took one of my fur babies :( the vet wasn’t very helpful either, blamed my family and i for making our kitten sick? yeah i don’t know either. thank you kitten lady for making this video for future kittens!! 💗
DatCatTho :P definitely have not returned! and it was an emergency visit too and those aren’t cheap, just to be told it was my fault. lol, i hope he isn’t a vet anymore
One of the "problems" of rescue is the human tendency to guilt when a kitten dies. It takes special ability to totally accept reviewing everything you did to correct any failing AND accepting that sometimes death wins AND stepping up for the next round. As to the vet (ugh) sometimes as a person there is CYA response when the outcome is not good with "Dont blame me! Your fault."
Hank has had such a rough go in her short time on this planet! I'm so thankful she found her way to you! I hope she contines to thrive and makes her way to a wonderful furever home. 💗
I'm 18 and going into a vet tech career. I plan on fostering kittens of all kinds. Your videos help me understand what you have to go through to save these babies. I will do my best
I love how you petting Hank and had such a serious face on while the kitten was like, loving the pets and closing in eyes. The kitten had a cute smile on it's face!
hannah, I just wanted to leave you a huge thank you because your video helped me save 3 foster kittens last year. they were all infected at ~4 weeks (too young to receive the vaccine) and were given a 10% chance of survival from the veterinarian. (that vet was apparently shocked--and relieved--when they were called by the adoptive parents later for their medical histories 😅) using the advice from your video, i gave the kittens intensive care for ~2 weeks, and all 3 survived and are now happily adopted. beside the prescribed antibiotics, i think the supplementary probiotics, vitamin b shots and the OTC pepside were absolutely critical to their outcome (they visibly improved after each B shot!) and i never would have known to give those if not for your video. it was an incredible learning experience and i feel so much joy when looking at pictures of them now, all grown up. thank you.
I actually had to watch the video twice because I kept getting distracted by Hank super enjoying face rubs lol Thanks for this, Hannah. I'm a vet and your video will make my job much easier when trying to explain home care. I love you, baby Hank!!
I am so glad this little ginger survived! Thank you for spreading awareness about this disease. I lost a black kitten to this disease, the diagnosis revealed too late, and after a week of struggle for his life and a seeming success, his heart just stopped one night and I woke up to see him in already in death throes(
Yay, Hank! She's so damned cute. When I got Lucy at 8 wks, she was coming down with pneumonia and wouldn't/couldn't eat, so I put her on KMR formula and she ate only that for several days until she'd turned the corner (also getting vet treatment, obviously). She'll be 7 in May and still gets KMR from time to time as a treat.
Aww man, im reading all the stories that were successful to many of your subscribers. It makes me feel so happy for them. Today my kitten got diagnosed with it. I'm so sad. She wants to eat absolutely nothing. I am going to try your methods and hopefully she can recover. Thank you so much for this video.
the shelter i volunteer at just lost a kitten named tony to panleuk. i was the one who found him and i’ve been crying off and on since. but like you said, the best way to deal with it is to take a small break and learn as much as you can from the experience. you’ve taught me so much about how to be a better advocate for animals 💚
I usually never comment on videos but this teared me up so badly. Saying that you work hard for these kittens is an understatement. An orphaned kitten in my care passed away recently even though he had no deadly disease like pan leukemia. He was however bleeding excessively from his nose which I guess caused his demise. But back then I really wished that I had someone like you to guide me. His death was partly my fault too since I didn't take him to the vet as quickly as I should have and now he's gone. Looking at your videos has really lessened my grief and I learn a lot from them so thank you from the depths of my heart.❤
This remind me loosing two of our loved kittens from deadly virus. If we had this video available that time, things would have been different. It's horrible to see your kid dying slowly from this virus. Hank is really a survivor. I know this disease is nightmare. Kitten lady you are beating the odds. I have no words to thank you, for all you are doing for these cuties.
I love your channel. Pretty informative with a touch of fun and tons of cuteness. You and your boyfriend are such brave, wonderful, inspirational, kindhearted people. Thank both of you for dedicating your time to save and take care of this beautiful babies.
Thank you again! I was super vulnerable when I found out my angel had this disease, I was helpless and the poor kitten, I used your tips and the veterinarians to help Mico, she's healthy and a survivor of panleukopina. Much love from your 1# Fan
Thank you for this video. I just went through this with one of my fosters who was only 2 weeks old at the time. I caught it early and I had great support from the staff at the shelter, but it was an intense 3 days of taking Simon in several times a day for tube feeding and fluids plus several more days of recovery. Simon is now a healthy 4 week old and doing really well.
My baby Bruce (he is three, he is not really a baby) had feline panleukopenia as a kitten and survived! He is now a happy, chubby tabby cat with white socks. He loves tummy scratches and watching the birds outside. Thank you for saving kittens like mine! If given a chance, a kitten like this can go on to become a wonderful, healthy cat.
Our foster kitten died from it. The shelter we were fostering from didn't care to help us. We took our little Charles to the vet and the only option was to put him down which was the news we could have gotten. We choose not to and tried our best to treat it but he passed away 😞
Wow! She doesn't leave any option out in order to save a life. The degree of knowledge, practical scientific approach and kindness of this lady makes me think that she would be an awesome caretaker for humans, too. Sure, kittens are more cute!
I’m super happy Hank survived panleukopenia cuz it’s such a horrible thing to go through. Unfortunately I’ve had two kittens that got panleukopenia a bother and sister that I rescued from outdoors. Unfortunately my little girl Lucky didn’t survive because I didn’t know the signs and symptoms when she got sick and she passed so quickly in just two days after showing any symptoms, I tried to get her to the vet but she got sick on Friday night after my vet was already closed and passed on Sunday. She really didn’t seem that sick but I was so very wrong and I will never forgive myself. But I was there with her every second and because of her I was able to catch it right away when her brother came down with it two days after Lucky passed away. Unfortunately when Lucky passed away we didn’t know why, but then when her brother Scabby had the exact same symptoms I rushed him to the vet and that’s when I found out that Lucky most likely died from panleukopenia. It truly breaks my heart that I didn’t catch it soon enough to save her life but because of her, her brother is still alive and doing really well and now is over a year old, but still to this day he runs around crying his and Lucky’s special cry that they would use to talk to each other trying to find his sister that is no longer here. I will never forgive myself for not being able to save my little girl’s life. That month was one of the hardest times in my life and I will never forget my little Lucky Duck 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔 I hope my little angel is in a better place and is looking down on me and her bother and is happy she saved her bothers life by giving her own. I will always wish I could do it over again and save her too but at least I have a piece of her every time her bother lays down in my arms. Love you forever Lucky 😭💔
I’m so sorry. Just want to point out: you wrote “I will still have a piece of her every time I hold her bother in my arms”. Just so people don’t get confused.
I hope you listened very close to the end of the video. Sometimes it really hurts but it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself. I'm sure Lucky never blamed you.
I don't think I will ever be able to thank you properly or enough about the work that you do or the effort that you put into saving kittnens and cats ... from a human's point of view the fact that you provide us with vital information using words we can understand and pictures when we are worried that our kittens or cats might have a health problem is so valuable to us.Thank you for what you do for the kittens, for the cats and for those of us who love them and try desperately to help them especially at times like these where chaos seems to be the 'new normal' in our lives.
Oh woah, got to comment as one of the earliest...ok... I love Hank, she has been through a lot. Good to know she is still well :') Tks for all ur hard work kitten lady!
Just want to say thank you. I watched this video 3 weeks ago because my kitten Niko was diagnosed with Panleuk and we were not sure if he was going to make it. But thanks to staying at his vet for a few days and nights he pulled through!!! Watching your video gave me hope and love what you do to help all the kittens, God bless you. Also my Niko is a survivor too!!
My kitty had been diagnosed with panleuk today, 😔 im really sad, i hope she will get through it and be a survivor like hank. She dont have an appetite so i have to put her food in a syringe w/out a needle and feed her that way. We are living on an island, so we dont have access to formula milk. My heart really breaks today😔
I wish I'd seen your video one week ago, thank you, your caring and thorough explanation helps save many lives and heartache, I lost my 5 month kitten to panleukopenia, from healthy and lively but in only 2 days he was gone, we really need to act fast from the very first sign if they're not eating and not wait one day.
Thank you so much for this video. I lost all of my 3 fosters, due to this virus plus Upper Respiratory Infections, and now I know that all the things I did to prevent it weren't enough. I just cannot believe how quickly they crashed and died- all within a matter of hours. It's been so heartbreaking. This has been more helpful than any vet's advice that I've gotten so far, and now I know what to do in the future.
One of my 2 bottle kittens died last weekend from this. I feel so bad cuz I didn't know. I thought since i was given her Pedialyte mixed with formula hourly shed be ok but she wasn't. She died in my hands. My heart broke. Luckily I was smart enough to separate the kittens when Claudia first got diarrhea so Lewis didn't get sick too. After she died i sterilized the kennel and litter box she was using. I also washed my hands to the point of the skin getting sore. I've since taken Lewis the surving kitten to the vet this past week. She is very healthy thank God and she recieved her first round of shots for this and the other stuff. Thank you for your videos. I thought I new a lot about csring for kittens but since i found yiu i realized i really didn't know Jack. So thank you for all you do for the kittens and for those of us who love to help kittens too. You're a good soul.
Thank you for posting this video. After losing the mother and 2 kittens, I was able to save one kitten thanks to watching your video. Although she survived, she developed a mild case of wobbly cat which is slowly getting better.
She looks so content while you're rubbing her. Such sweetness between you two
Like Hank is saying Thanks, Mom you saved my life.
I was watching little Hank's sweet face the entire time. 😇

"This is not a cute kitten video."
*pets kitten to the point where Hank's eyes are closed*
Donna Freezen I think he/she was saying that it was cute when she did that
Donna Freezen Chill, hes kidding.
Donna Freezen
you needs calm down.
It was cute yes
@Donna Freezen
Symone Cypress probably ment that it was cute despite what kitten lady said...
Chill
You are kinda trolling now

I am shocked a pet store would rehome a 4 week year old, better to find a kitten from someone with a pet cat where pet cat had vaccines.
R.I.P.
Deepest condolences for your cat, dude. Really hope you can find a cat that is just like the cat you had, good luck!
THE people that down vote a video on helping a kitten survive must really be fun to be around..
Ancient Warrior They're usually the same people who like videos where cats are the victims.
Allison Hunter Well, that's a very _optimistic_ way to see it 😅😏💁
@Allison Hunter I doubt it *very* much
Look at it this way, the down votes are less than one percent of positive votes. We still have hope.
RUclips can send dislike bots so the likes and dislikes can be even. Damn you Susan!

i found out about this parvo in my cat on first day he started to vomit and brought to vet. i was so sad and not able to take it..but i did everything that i could to save him..extensive care..i had to get up every hour to give him food and hydrated..check on feces..it was tiring and stressfull..but it all worth it..i was so lucky since he diagnose on the first day of the infection..and thank god...HE SURVIVED...im more than happy to see him back to normal and play with his siblings. Thanks for your video.. sharing great tips on making more cuties survivor..
Good job, you are a hero and your cat is a surviver. I hope he is doing good and also coincidentally our usernames are kinda same lol
How long did he take to recover
I'm so glad she survived. What a fighter!
Thanks so much 💕💕
She really is a fighter!
The only spoiler that I’m totally ok with
Ruth Kim I’m in tears. What a wonderful story.
My 2 month old kitten is going through panleukopenia too. We took her to a vet and right now she is being hospitalized. I hope she gets better.
BJK 54 I 100% agree
I just found this channel and seriously this women deserves way more subcribers she helps animals but yet people like Logan Paul he has alot of fame and yet he can be cruel but this lady she help and deserves way more fame. Btw new subcriber here🤗
Hank's face throughout the video was awesome. Great video. Hank is such a warrior.
I love how she gets sleepier and sleepier as the video progresses!
Poor little babies! Thank you for sharing information on how to keep kittens alive with this disease
I hope it helps save some lives!
Kitten Lady why do you use she a lot?
She was named "Hank" because they thought she was a boy at first. The name had already stuck once they found out she's a girl so they just kept the name.
You're so lucky she replied and liked
Question for you the disease in newborn kittens how can you diagnose it
My kitten is going through this right now. My poor precious sweet girl. I miss her so much. This video gave me hope. So much hope. 😢
Hank was just soaking up all that love. Thank you Hannah for everything you do for kittens. 😺😻😽
One of the animal channels I never have to question. She is just the best with these foster kitties.
She was soooooooo in heaven with all of those rubs. You can tell that those kittens are in THE BEST environment.
She's such a cutie. Also almost had tears from listening to the last part of the video. But it's really important to know for the future :)
I am so thankful for this video! My 6-week old babys both got panleuk. Thanks to you one of them survived and is now a super healthy boy. The other kitten, Neo, was way too small and died but we tried our best! Keep up the great work Hannah !
After how many days he got better??
Hank is such a strong little lady. I can't wait to see her all grown up and in a good home with Kodiak.
DieAlteistwiederda me either
DieAlteistwiederda Hank is a boy name
Natasha Riglin Hank is still a girl, they first thought she is a little boy and just didn't change her name. You can check that out on her Instagram.
we found out our foster cat has this virus today. I've been crying all day but now I'm taking notes from this video. thank you so much Hannah. he's at the vet clinic right now, getting fluids and trying to survive. if he does we will adopt her. I'm hoping and praying he does.
Me and my family are praying for you and the kitty!! 😔💞🐾
How are you doing now?
This is a great guide! Thank you for making it- very comprehensive. It takes me back to my first foster kittens, a litter from the ACCT with Calicivirus, who’s mother was put down because she was too sick. Repeated sub-Q fluids made all the difference. I lost one of the four kittens, and felt guilty, but in the end was so grateful she didn’t pass alone in the shelter. Thanks for emphasizing the reality of losing kittens and how to cope.W/ LOVE from Philly
Thank you for fostering...you're amazing! ACCT is a great org.
Kitten Lady can you make a video about FIV positive cats? Thanks!
I just had 2 orange kittens with this and I was able to help them thanks to you , your book, and an amazing supportive fostering community. THANK YOU. ❤
omg hank In that little crown😭 So happy she's doing much better, you're an angel kitten lady 😊
I lost my kitten this morning to panleukopenia. He was just 2 months old. I still can’t stop crying about it 😭 He looks just like Hank btw 😭😭
I lost my 3 months kitten today 😢😭
Baby Hankie!!! I'm so glad she's doing better & that she was rescued by you! You're an amazing person to all of these animals! While I'd LOVE to have Hankie wrapped up in her blankie, she just adores you!!! The was she was looking up at you was just precious! We LOVE you, Hankie!!!
lindsey smith I kept noticing that too! It’s like she completely understands how hard Hannah worked to save her life.
Ha ha, that's sweet. I loved being able to see her chill face once I watched the recording. She's a good lap kitty!
My second ever time fostering kittens we had a scare with panleukopenia! It ended up being giardia, but I remember being at the humane society, waiting to hear about the panleuk test results... All of my foster kittens and the mom were fine, but it took like 3 months to get rid of the giardia
This is an amazing video, and I'm so happy little Hank lived!
Kitten Lady: this is not a super cute video about kittens.
Me: *looks at adorable purrito* I beg to differ.
LOL
*purrito*
What the hell were those vets thinking?? Giving up a life just like that...😥
@@samg873 Glad she's survived! It's good to not give up a life 👍
@@KhoiruunisaRF she actually lived to be almost 18. Vet is shocked she survived heartworms when she really shouldn't have
Thanks for this, Hannah. Today I'm taking my first batch of babies for the season, and having lost so many to panleukopenia last year, I'm developing a protocol for our entire rescue to use. I want us all to have the tools we need right off the bat so that we can save more of them.
Never has a kitten looked so content with life as Hank did sat on your lap throughout that! She looked like she was in heaven. Good job both 👍🏻
I think you'r doing a wonderful job helping these kittens and how you are helping sanctuaries help kittens and cats. I love you and you'r work. Don't ever give up, we all stand with you
Hank isn't a babygirl anymore, she's a Supergirl now 😁
I'm glad you made this video. When I saw your posts on Instagram, I didn't know what this virus was, so I'm glad you made this video to explain. This is really important !
Felt sad to see Hank ill, but seeing her now, falling asleep in your arms, really warms my heart. She's such a sweetheart !
Every kitten she fosters she finds a way to care for the condition. She is so inspirational
I remember looking up panleukopenia after Baby Girl Hank was diagnosed and reading that 90-95% of kittens with it pass away, even with treatment. I was so worried about her and I'm still ecstatic that she beat it! Hank is the best!
I hope you keep her forever..She deserves you and ur love...
You're a superhero. I'm a nurse do I appreciate how truly HARD you worked to save Hank. Thanks for making this video, it's very important.
Thank you for your work--nurses are the best.
So very inspiring and inspirational. Thank you for this important information about this terrible disease.
Thanks for watching, Darlene!
I can see that you cannot control yourself from kissing Hank. I dont blame you
Just think, while Hank was sick she couldn't kiss her at all for fear of carrying the virus out on her lips! She's just making up for lost time.
Yay Hank im so proud of you and Hannah of course. I foster kittens who are in perfect shape and its overwhelming, so I dont know how you do that! So inspiring and I love you and Hank!!❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dan TDM hi Dan I didn't know you foster cats
Dan TDM ya
Is that really you?
I agree and dan I didn’t know u watched kitten lady that amazing 😉
DAN???
this unfortunately took one of my fur babies :( the vet wasn’t very helpful either, blamed my family and i for making our kitten sick? yeah i don’t know either. thank you kitten lady for making this video for future kittens!! 💗
Hannah Alyse Blamed u? How rude! Hope u didnt return there. If i were u i wouldnt even pay them 😂
DatCatTho :P definitely have not returned! and it was an emergency visit too and those aren’t cheap, just to be told it was my fault. lol, i hope he isn’t a vet anymore
I know it can be a hard My dog died due to weight loss the day AFFER easter last year
I'm sorry 😔
poor little baby, bless you for saving her, You are an angel
Hank looks soooooo happy with all the cuddles she's receiving
That is one happy kitten. You would never know what she's been through until someone told you. Wow.
Hank has had such a rough go in her short time on this planet! I'm so thankful she found her way to you! I hope she contines to thrive and makes her way to a wonderful furever home. 💗
She really has been through a lot, but her spirit is amazing. I just love that little girl!
Kitten Lady You're right about her spirit, it shines through the screen!! Keep up the amazing work!
I cld watch hours of just how calm and happy that kitten is in the kitten lady’s hands
She is one of the sweetest kittens I’ve ever seen! Poor baby. ): hope she does super!💗
(that vet was apparently shocked--and relieved--when they were called by the adoptive parents later for their medical histories 😅)
using the advice from your video, i gave the kittens intensive care for ~2 weeks, and all 3 survived and are now happily adopted. beside the prescribed antibiotics, i think the supplementary probiotics, vitamin b shots and the OTC pepside were absolutely critical to their outcome (they visibly improved after each B shot!) and i never would have known to give those if not for your video.
it was an incredible learning experience and i feel so much joy when looking at pictures of them now, all grown up.
She is a spitting image of my little kitty, Tiger! She’s soo precious 😍 I’m so proud of you Hank! Your so strong xx
the shelter i volunteer at just lost a kitten named tony to panleuk. i was the one who found him and i’ve been crying off and on since. but like you said, the best way to deal with it is to take a small break and learn as much as you can from the experience. you’ve taught me so much about how to be a better advocate for animals 💚
Poor little sweetheart! She looks so much better now
I usually never comment on videos but this teared me up so badly.
You DEFINITELY found your calling Kitten Lady ❤️❤️🐱🐱
Stacey W fshzhkqcwuegvwjevv
Thanks so much for your kind comment, and for following along!
Thank you again! I was super vulnerable when I found out my angel had this disease, I was helpless and the poor kitten, I used your tips and the veterinarians to help Mico, she's healthy and a survivor of panleukopina.
Much love from your 1# Fan
Look at how big she's gotten 😭
So glad that she's OK. Go Hank!
Thank you for this video. I just went through this with one of my fosters who was only 2 weeks old at the time. I caught it early and I had great support from the staff at the shelter, but it was an intense 3 days of taking Simon in several times a day for tube feeding and fluids plus several more days of recovery. Simon is now a healthy 4 week old and doing really well.
how she looks up at your face !!!
Ursula Santos I’m so sorry. That must have been hard
I'm so sorry❤😭
Amazing grace........... How sweet the sound .... (song continues in bagpipes)
Hank has had quite the adventure through her kittenhood!
It's good that you found this baby girl, she's got a good life ahead of her.
Hank is so big!!!!! I love this baby❤❤❤❤❤😍😍😍😍
That month was one of the hardest times in my life and I will never forget my little Lucky Duck
💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
I hope my little angel is in a better place and is looking down on me and her bother and is happy she saved her bothers life by giving her own. I will always wish I could do it over again and save her too but at least I have a piece of her every time her bother lays down in my arms.
Love you forever Lucky 😭💔
Merribeth Knigge I'm so sorry for your loss. Your comment made me cry as the thought of of losing any pet is sad.
Good to know she is still well :')
Tks for all ur hard work kitten lady!
I love Hanky so much. She is so sweet and cuddly! ❤😻
Hank just sits there so quietly in that blanket as you move your hand around and talk. Such a little sweetie she is. Love it!
I had to watch this twice, one to watch baby hank and one to hear your teachings x
I love your work so much and it makes me cry to know that somebody cares for them
You told me even more than the vet did at the emergency visit ❤️ thank you so much
Omg I love how when you are talking you are like shaking her but she is purring so loud!!
Did she survive? If not, my condolences ❤
If she survived then she will be very unlikely to get it again and if she doesn’t then R.I.P and I hope all goes well
I wish I'd seen your video one week ago, thank you, your caring and thorough explanation helps save many lives and heartache, I lost my 5 month kitten to panleukopenia, from healthy and lively but in only 2 days he was gone, we really need to act fast from the very first sign if they're not eating and not wait one day.
I'm so glad Hank is ok! Thank you for sharing this video, I'm sure it will help a lot of people.
Well done for restoring Hank back to health, she looks great, such a peach ❤
I think you are the best foster parent every cat that comes to you is cured big fan from india plz keep fostering and keep saving lives
I'm soooooo happy precious little Hank is ok! I'm glad that she is a survivor. I hope anyone who dislikes this suffers. You can keep going Hank!! 🐈🐱
I'm sooo grateful that helped little Hanky!!
Thank you for posting this video. After losing the mother and 2 kittens, I was able to save one kitten thanks to watching your video. Although she survived, she developed a mild case of wobbly cat which is slowly getting better.
I'm so happy that Hanky is okay thank you for taking care of her
I just recently lost my kitten to FIP. It makes me happy watching a kitten who survived a severe disease. Thank you for sharing this information
Awe I'm so in love with hank! She's such a strong little fighter and you're a great foster mom. Thank you so much for the information! :)
Hank is such a fighter, and you such a dedicated caretaker. Bless you both.
