    This Rogue looks better than other crossovers in competitors. I love this newly design generation looks better than previous generation the more do research on this car more love even more. I've been studying how the new shifter works sitting here pretending sitting inside of one know sounds crazy... lol 😆 how do the shifter in case ever take a test drive or if something happens to my old Rogue that is reliable will know how to do it though might look confusing. Nissan hit this vehicle out of park think would want a Platinum with digital instrument cluster and tan/peanut butter interior would love have one in blue as this one on video. The interior looks more upscale the touch screen in cars now has grown on me at first thought didn't like it now do. Thanks for doing a review of the Rogue. Merry Christmas 🎅.

    i love this suv. Ive never had a car that could go a full week without refilling up the tank before. about 620kms at 50 liter tank compared to my accord v6 coupe only 500 on a 74 liter tank.

      Fuel economy is certainly an important factor especially in todays world.

    Great review! Surprised Nissan hasn't thought of adding hybrid and PHEV variants to their SUV's. Given that we have had the Leaf for over 8 years, I would have thought Nissan would have added that tech to their other vehicles. This SUV as a PHEV would be a game changer, it looks much, much better than the RAV4 !

      I totally agree! I wonder if they're playing it super safe and waiting until they've been able to test their PHEV technology internally. A number of other manufacturers are rumoured to be bringing out PHEV crossovers in this segment over the next year or two.

    Easy DIY tip: I have a 2010 G37 (nissan product), and I upgraded all interior lights, and the license plate lights to LEDs. Took less than an hour, just popping off plastic covers, swapping the bulb, and popping the cover back in place. I imagine it's still pretty easy (and possibly identical, after all, Nissan does like to use the same hardware on their cars for 10+ years straight: I'm looking at you: key fob, and heated seat knobs) on these cars. Probably cost me around $75 total.

    I don't like CVT but I'd definitely pick this over the Chevy equinox

      Almost anything is better than the Equinox. I think GM has given up.

      I definitely see where you’re coming from. I personally haven’t been a fan of anything Nissan has been producing for quite some time now, I drove a 2010 Altima when it was new and still find a lot of pieces/parts from that car on their new vehicles, like the key fob I pointed out in this video. I still would recommend the Mazda CX-5 over this, and while I wouldn’t buy this Rogue it’s good for the industry that they’ve come up with something competitive that mainstream consumers will be interested in. More/better competition should push everyone forward.
      Always happy to hear from viewers, and thank you for sharing your thoughts!

      The cvt is updated it acts like a 9 speed . I owned a 2018 rogue there is huge difference . This drives completely different . The seats are more comfortable Than the Mazda/rav4 ,CRv etc . This car has completely new chassis so it’s quieter and rides more firm. .. I suggest don’t knock it until you try it. I own a platinum trim.

    Thanks for the great review!! I'm from Nova Scotia and test drove an SV AWD two weeks ago. What did you think of the drive selector that sits atop of the "floating" console? I wasn't crazy about that as I thought it felt a little cheap. Other than that it's very impressive inside! Not impressed that Nissan force you into a "Premium" package on the SV trim (which will be the volume seller) in order to get a power lift gate. I know you do get leatherette and heated rear seats but those I couldn't care less about. The RAV4 XLE AWD comes with a power lift gate included. Anyway, I really like this vehicle and I'm sure Nisssn will sell a ton of these!!

    • @paulgrabowski
      @paulgrabowski 3 года назад

      Agreed. My father bought the SV FWD a month ago and is very impressed with; a) what you get for $30K, b) how quiet the vehicle is, c) CVT is nothing like it used to be. He had a 2015 Altima and the CVT was pretty bad. This new XCVT feels very much like a normal auto transmission. d) and like Nile said in the video, the car is powerful enough to get the job done. At the end of the day, it's a grocery getter and a vehicle to drive around the city. Most people will be plenty happy with it!

      I wasn't a huge fan of the gear selector on this, but it seems to be a trend in the automotive world to go with these weird designs.

    I hate LEDs unless they are used for television backlighting. The light is hard on the eyes and some optometrists think they contribute to cataracts. I would suspect retina damage as they output light in a very narrow frequency band, which transmits more photon pressure to the eyes.

    Very nice job. Thank you. Question… When using Apple CarPlay and using Apple Maps navigation system, does the heads up display give turn by turn directions?

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  3 года назад +1

      Unfortunately it doesn't, Apple CarPlay is limited to the information displayed on the infotainment system. I'm not sure if Apple plans on opening up their framework to allow for this kind of info shared across displays, but knowing Apple I wouldn't expect it for a long time, if they ever do it.

    it's nice enough however the competition is not only fierce but will get even more competitive in the next 24 months. Nissan need s higher performance option. Mazda cx5 has a turbo, for now, will have optional 6 cylinders in 2 years. New Tuscon coming next year will have n line version, Toyota has prime.

    No ventilated seats? What?!.. at that price point... very disappointing

    • @PRNTestDrive
      @PRNTestDrive  3 года назад

      I could understand if they missed this on a regular model year update, but this being an all-new generation they really should have included it. Only thing I can think of is Nissan is planning on adding a few extra features to another trim later this year, perhaps with a slightly better engine.

      @keyur.. the rav 4 has it but it’s more expensive. the interior on this blows every one else in this class out the water . I own this car I got it 7 weeks ago. It’s all faster to 60 than the rav 4 in real world driving . If that’s a disappointment to you .. Well I don’t know what to tell you.
