@@StealthParrot and me too! I learnt to play Brothers in arms in the 80s and I still find it a challenge where as this bloke could be a stand in for Mark Knoffler! Just brilliant!
Thank you so much. I remember when I first wanted to learn this a few years ago there were no good turorials on yt. When I looked it up a few weeks ago I wasn't expecting much but you delivered. I went like, "hey this is the guy I learnt Alive by Pearl Jam from!!" Awesome tutorial
Awsome lesson Kelly. Knopfler was and is a freaking genius, when you see a lesson like this, you can be mistaken to think that's easy, i can do that, but the reality is very different. Thanking you Kelly, here from the UK.
Kelly, this lesson is a perfect example of how tasteful your choices in solos always are. Would love to know if any of Mark Knopfler's solos from his many solo albums stand out to you. In any event, so well and thoughtfully done, as always. Thank you.
i wished you would take more time on the more condensed harder parts by string and fret postion ..like the parts on fret 17 ..18...19 on the dusty part...ex
Amazing. I listened to this song hundreds of times in the eighties. Probably the reason I started playing the guitar.
Me too @Reda Cherkaoui great memories, Mark is so smooth and tasteful. Sultans is still one of my all time fav songs, but this is great too.

An absolute remarkable guitar player no doubt. With something very few guitarists have: his own signature technique, sound and tone.
This was excellent thanks for taking the time.
