only reason why it burns (dudu osun) is because it's made with real camwood (osun, which is basically lye.) and that's extremely as natural as it gets. So it's truly natural and cleansing for your skin, and the wood makes your skin dry, so that's why.

+abby S i have very oil skin, organic and unrefined shea butter do wonder for my skin.
It worked for me a lil but my skin was so dry and tight so I discontinued using it I would recommend if for oily skin tho
for the people experiencing burning from using black soap, try not to leave it on your face for a long time. 15-20 seconds max. I've tried this method and it works effectively.

Your skin is beautiful! My skin skin gets moody from time to time! It will be clear for months then get an attitude and will FLIP OUT on me during the worst possible time! Skin care is super important no matter what your age is. I enjoyed watching your items!
I'm so glad you posted this video! I have been suffering for major breaks more frequently then ever before. I just started wearing makeup way more frequently for work, so I thought my face was going through a shock. My face is oily I have a few matting powders that have not been really working for long wear. I just recently purchased a matte primer to help with the oil when I wear my makeup. This might the best video for me!!!!

This is the very first video I watched of you and to be honest I went on to watching other videos because of how creative and bubbly you are. You have a great personality girl. It's nice to see a fellow Jamaican grow on RUclips. I've used African Shea Butter and African Black soap and they have been working well for me so far although they are not the same brands that you use.
Everyone loves black soap, but it breaks me out... So sad 😢

+Danni F I thought it was just Me DuDu Osman Breaks my face out like crazy and make my face burns so bad I have to run hot water on it for about 5 min I guess it just depends on how your skin reacts to these products

You can whip the Shea butter & also add essential oils to it to make it easier to apply!

my total came up to 45 bucks I spent. Sorry but i misinform you I didn't buy everything I brought 4 pack of the black soap, I brought the fade out cream I don't need the bum bum cream and instead of buying the shea butter cream I brought coconut oil and milk scrub instead but you can still find everything she mentioned on amazon.

Every time I try black soap I feel as though my skin condition only worsens lol. I thought at first, maybe my skin is purging, but it lasts way too long. I think I'm just in the minority for which it doesn't work wonders.

Dudu Osun is the best black soap. That is black soap in its rawest form. My skin routine is black soap both day and night, and shea butter at night, and a manuka honey moisturizer in the morning. The only reason I don't use my shea butter in the morning is because I have the yellow crumbly one that melts on your skin and it makes my skin look oily or sweaty but it is absorbed by morning. I see so much improvement in my skin. Recently my mom thought I was wearing makeup because my skin looked really nice.

I don't use no other cream on my body but Shea butter and people be stopping me asking me ur have nice skin and looking at my legs and asking me what I cream with I will never stop using it
I use that brand of African Black Soap too! But I use the liquid one because I don't like bar soaps.

For people who have problems with black soap, here are a few things you can check. If you try all this and black soap is still not good for your skin, throw it out! It doesn’t work for everyone
1) check the expiration date. (I got expired Dudu Osun and it burns!)
2) try another brand eg dudu yo-yo
3) don’t leave it on your face! Apply, then wash off.
4) on the first day after washing it off my skin was TIGHT. It needs immediate moisturization. I use Shea butter in the mornings and coconut oil at night. But give it at least a week, after that your skin stops tightening so much.
I’m not claiming to be an expert, I’ve been using it for about two weeks and I’m documenting the results. I haven’t seen huge results but it has subsided a little. I’m giving another week.

Your skin is even all over 😞😍 face, neck, AND body? Whaaaa? Lately Ive been looking into bleaching creams, because shea and cocobutter isn't helping AT ALL. but I'm scared because I've heard of bad side effects. I saw a picture of a Jamaican woman online and she looked burnt.

Can someone explain to me why Dudu osun is causing me to have small break outs ? I want to believe in it and keep using it because it was Doing me so much justice when I first started using it but now i see break outs appearing and I want to discontinue use before my acne starts to get worse... I don’t leave it on long 30-60 seconds MAX.. so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Is it because I use it everyday 2x a day ? I drink plenty of water and moisturize with cetaphil moisturizer.... sometimes use Shea moisture problematic skin moisturizer
its probably too drying for your skin...especially if you arent following up with a toner
