  • This week, we took our bikes to the Wood River Trail, located in scenic Idaho. The trail is 20+ miles and we biked a total of 30 miles on our trip. We parked near Bellevue Idaho, and traveled through Hailey, Ketchum and Sun Valley.
Stunning views as always, we enjoyed this part of Idaho and had a great time taking the bikes out for another training ride as we ramp up our miles for RAGBRAI 2022.
Best part? We were joined by Kari's dad Roger for what became his longest bike ride of 26 miles.
The path is part of the old Union Pacific railroad, and while it can be walked, we recommend if you're in the area to hit the trail on a bike.
(This video was filmed in May 2022 for reference to the conditions of the trail)

Great video ! My wife and I are from Twin Falls as well. I was wondering where exactly you parked in Bellevue? We're headed up there this spring for this ride. Thanks again for the video.

Thank you. So we were going to park right near the beginning in Bellevue and there were a couple dirt lots to park but ended up driving to this location.

It is a small parking area at a park, had a bathroom and still gave us quite a bit of miles for the day.

That brought back some really great memories! Thanks for the video.
By the way, riding that heavy ebike without using electric assist is a great way to get in shape! Unfortunately I see way too many people just depending on the motor. Good on you mate!

You’re welcome. It’s such a beautiful area there. Yeah she definitely needs the e power on some hills, but trying her best to get as much training without to get stronger. Thank you!
