I used to dance like a knob to this off my face on pingers when I was 16 in various goth clubs. Why this was popular in goth clubs is beyond me. I'm 33 now, and haven't touched a pinger since, but I do enjoy this sort of music still.
It is all in the timely cuts and knowledge of the tune. It is often more important to have only one tune playing at a time. Although it is hard to do on 6 decks.
I'm talking about creating a song all by itself, recording sounds to make beats, stacking them up in the program and then adding layers of whatever to create and complete the tune. Sometimes the layers don't "play nice" and either click and pop because of the frequnecy or cancel other sounds out. This can sometimes be fixed by addint a slight bit of silence to the beginning moving everything over a bit. No knowledge of a tune that is being created, just what I want it to sound like in my head.
@daiscutter86 They are the original versions. The reason they are made at around 8 mins is because editing them shorter will be easier and will have the right sound intended but obviously shorter. It's been that way for years even when editing was made on tape reels.
Or that annoying clicking sound of layers not playing nice together. Frequencies colliding - sounds interacting but not in a polite way.... Sometimes very hard to remedy, other times it's just a slight move (milliseconds) to the left or right to get the conflicting sounds to have a time out and not play together at all. Other times it takes changing the pitch etc.... Ahhhh, sounds and noise rules though.
