I might sew the folded corners on as they are and then roll the fold over and stitch down like a cathedral window. This would round the corners and help it look more like a globe.
Thanks Misty. I have several panels. You've given me some ideas. I love all the seasons but especially Spring and Autumn. I like to play in the snow with my grandchildren.
Wow looks so easy. I didn’t realize it was a snow globe. Maybe if you used grey on the bottom there would be more contrast like the Halloween panel. Looks like it’s fun to make. Your instructions were easy to follow. Great job.
I usually use panels to create larger quilts so I hate to remove anymore of the panel than necessary. This is a great design for smaller quilts. For larger quilts I use EQ8 to design block borders to enlarge the quilt.
I was thinking rather than snow ball it, round the corners, like a drunkards path block, and add round corners making the snow globe look more round. It seems hard if you're a beginner but it is so easy.
This is a great way to make a panel quilt without it just looking like a panel with borders. I'll be using it more than once. Thank you. is there a printed pattern?
Love this idea so much! Where did you get the snow flake and spider web design for the quilting on them? I’m new to quilting and think this would be a good project to start with.
That is a Olisio iron, that one is a special edition made for MSQC but I don’t think you can get that one now but there are still plenty of different color Olisio irons you can buy and they are designed to lift up automatically when you sit it down , it takes a little time to get use to that feature but once you do you’ll love it .
@@21stCHM thank you, that is exactly right. I love this snowball project and was trying to figure out an approximate formula to use on any size panel. I’m thinking it might be cute to make a snow globe from a small panel/fussy cut, layer it with 2 layers of clear vinyl, and put glitter or something sparkly between the vinyl layers prior to sewing fabric and vinyl layers together. The stand could be a would grain or metallic fabric. So many fun variations possible. I love the tutorials!
I used to enjoy winter, but 5 month of 30 below, shoveling snow almost every day, driving on ice.... yuuuukkkkk
You could use a dotted fabric and make it a gum ball dispenser.
The colors of the Halloween panel and quilt are so beautiful, wonderful contrast.
Ooh! I just had an idea for this being made as a fish bowl, aquarium ...😁
I have a Rainbow Fish panel that I have been wondering how to use. This should be fun.
Love this idea!
Such a great idea !!
This was my first thought too
Such a fun project and the hanging with magnets is genius!!❤️❤️
Hi Laurie
Hi from Australia. It’s midnight here, and I’m enjoying the quilts.

Hello how are you
Thanks Misty. I have several panels. You've given me some ideas. I love all the seasons but especially Spring and Autumn. I like to play in the snow with my grandchildren.
Very cute ! I ordered this panel before Iknew what I was going to make with it . Thankyou for giving me ideas.. I love this !
Thanks for the creative way to use panels!!!
Thanks so much! I have some great National Park Poster panels that I have been reluctant to approach and this trimming technique will get me started!
The quilting design is fantastic! Such a cute project.....thank you
I love using panels and this is such a fun easy project.
Hello

I love this idea I can see making a panel for each month holiday to hang up.
You should sell the magnets and washers to hang the quilts. What a great idea.
Super-cute quilts, Misty!!!

Really cute idea
Love this and made my first one. It was so quick to make in and afternoon

Thèse are beautiful! Thank you very much! 🌸🌸
Excited from Iowa
Would you use a different color for the base to make the base more visible
Beautiful!
Hi how are you doing my friend
Hello ladies from Abingdon, Virginia
I love this and it was explained so well until the end. I don’t really quite understand how to do the base.
See Jenny’s Attic Window tutorial for another way to use panels.
I was just thinking of an attic window project.
Hi Katie
Looking great
Hello from Pennsylvania
These are so pretty! Great idea!
This will be awesome!!
Great video. Tfs. 👏🏻💕👏🏻
So cute! Thank you for sharing!

Or…….do the technique Jenny uses for the fish tail or Cathedral quilt

Hi from Kris from Dayton Ohio!
This is a great way to make a panel quilt without it just looking like a panel with borders. I'll be using it more than once. Thank you. is there a printed pattern?
Hi from Magnolia, TX
I have two Christmas panels now I have an idea of what to do with them.
Misty your so pretty. Love your shows
You really do need a good contrast between the snow globe base and background like on the Halloween panel and butterfly
Hi from Dunnellon, FL
Hi from PA
Super awesome
Any very large print fabric could be used for the center. Great way to show case the fabric especially if you do not want to cut it into small pieces.
Hello from yucaipa, Calif.
Hello Misty. I'm in Louisiana.

Hi from Carol in Levin, New Zealand
Hi from PriscillaCopps from tucson az
How much weight can those magnets hold? If I put a row of those up could it hold up a queen size quilt?
The Christmas globes need a contrasting base......
Love this idea so much! Where did you get the snow flake and spider web design for the quilting on them? I’m new to quilting and think this would be a good project to start with.
Base looks same color as the snowballed black corners...?
If you look really closely, there is a slight colour difference. I think I would use something with more contrast, though.
White would stand out
I’m wondering how you know how big your snowball should be?
Where did you buy your iron and the base that springs up when laying flat
That is a Olisio iron, that one is a special edition made for MSQC but I don’t think you can get that one now but there are still plenty of different color Olisio irons you can buy and they are designed to lift up automatically when you sit it down , it takes a little time to get use to that feature but once you do you’ll love it .
Preorder at Oliso.com and prepare to wait awhile. But TOTALLY worth it!
I love my Oliso! Pricey but worth it!
Hi leslie
Love the idea. I don’t understand how to attach the base
It's a straight line, like adding a border
Has Lady of Lake pattern been in block magazine yet?
I don't think it is in Bloc but the video tutorial is here:
www.missouriquiltco.com/pages/lady-of-the-lake-quilt-tutorial
Is there a written outline/pattern for it? Some idea of border and backing fabrics amount
It would have been helpful to see the base sewn on. It seems the videos are less thorough than they used to be.
Hello how are you doing
Where would I find those nice magnets?
How do you add the bottom black strip to the snowball?
Hi from wigton Cumbria English
What size of the cutting mat you have on your table?
What is that yellow and green star right by the sewing machine?
It appears that the snowballing corners squares are approximately 1/5 the measurement of the side (33” side= 6” square).
Misty said 6" ....
Looks like Traci was helping people with a different sized panel know what size snowball squares to use
Thanks, Traci. I am " math challenged" and would waste time and fabric trying to get it to look right.
