I am selling both of my Walther PDP's so I can get one of these. My first full-sized pistol was a Walther P99 and I had no idea it was the Daniel Craig 007 gun until years later. It is still my favorite and will never leave me.
@pablogulielmetti3536 the stock spring is 18. Are you running it suppressed and what kind of ammo you running? I had issues with Blazer 115gr and Belum 124gr initially. Anything plus P like lawman 124gr target or Hoarnady defense115gr or speer gold dot 124gr ran fine; but now everything I feed it from 115 to.147gr runs great. I just ran a Whats for dinner test with 6 different brands, target, hollow points, ball, flat nose ran great about 350rnds and it ran everything...
@@boss350z5 I burned 350 rounds (115 American eagle, 124 blazer and 147 American eagle) using zrt 15 lb ultra mass guide rode. I noticed that it wasn't completing the cycle correctly. I had numerous failures. Then I changed it to the stock one with no issues. I am expecting to get the 17 lb spring for this Saturday. I will try for the moment not to use 124 +P since I have read on Walter's site that it can affect the mechanism with its prolonged use. I'll keep you posted...
@pablogulielmetti3536 I see, I have the 15lb regular captured steel rod and spring, not the mass guide rod. I have heard that the comped guns and the mass guide rod dont get along. I'm sure the 17lb will probably run; but it'll probably choke on lighter loads and have a recoil impulse similar to the stock spring. I have a regular PDP 5 in that I run with the 17lb and that thing runs ANYTHING; but comped guns are always finicky. Good luck, and hit me back if you need any more help chief.
I’d love to have this pistol for home defense “bump in the night” scenarios(everyone loves & swears by the pdp guns and I’ve never owned a Walther), but for a carry gun it’s way too big, and for some reason I still just can’t get use to red dots on my carry piece no matter how much I practice…I’m quicker, more comfortable/confident and a lot more accurate with my P365XL(the ultimate carry pistol for me) with irons…
I even thought it had a compensator at the end but no, it was part of the barrel and I think this is the best version of this pistol, it almost reminds me of the HK USP match
@rockchalk2286 if you think this 9mm comp is "snappy," then you need to just shoot 22lr bud. The regular PDP 9mm compact isn't "snappy" yet along this full-size comp!
I have both the match sf 5", and polymer match 5" , pdp compact, and the pdp pro e. They are all the shit in their own ways! They are dead nuts accurate! Favorite shooting pistols! Now this is in my sights! You won't regret the SF!
@HVACR_ToolNut Good evening. O yea! I'm looking forward to purchasing it for my shooting competition. I am thinking of buying Floyd's competition, magwell, and base plates for it. What's your thoughts?
@jamesdelong6401 you definitely can't go wrong with floyds magwells and baseplate! Especially since your going to use it for competition shooting. DO IT!
@HVACR_ToolNut ok. I'll look into adding those. I do love them on my Smith&Wesson M&P9 2.0 carry comp metal. I run their edc magwell and edc base plates. Dam fine company
@jamesdelong6401 I run them on my echelon, hellcat pro comp. Amazing company. Taylor free lance makes weight kits for the PDP polymer, and ZR tactical for 15lb springs for the SF, and polymer pistols! I own the PDP SF 5", PDP MATCH POLY 5", PDP PRO E, and PDP COMPACT. Picking up the PDP PRO X very soon! I love the pdp platform so much! Also the Echelons are great too! Safe shooting brother!
It looks like Manufacturers are not running short of names for their “greatest ever, tactical operators only version, you must have it before the next neighborhood match, sell all the guns you have to buy this one, etc., etc. “ guns. PDPPROXPMM sounds like a coded message sent to RUclips warrior’s brain instructing him or her to ditch yesterday’s wonder and buy this new wonder. The funny part is that it works, most of the time. 😂
Bro!! HOW COULD YOU FORGET A LIGHT?! There are not nearly enough gadgets and gizmos added to this PDP 🙄 🙄 🙄. Pistol shooting takes work to “master”, there is no getting around it. For 99% of pistol owners, these red dots, compensators, weapon lights, etc. are bought to avoid having to practice. Practice means going to the range, not being very good, being around guys who can shoot better, and them seeing that you aren’t very good. I didn’t like it, but I got past it; continued to show up. I didn’t lie to myself by saying “My groups aren’t very tight because I need a red dot, compensator, light.” How do I know this is true? Now that I can outshoot everyone else at the range, the guys in booth next to mine will either look over to see or ask the range officer “what kind of gun is he shooting with?” It isn’t the tens of thousands of rounds/reps that I have over them, it’s always the gun. If you don’t like stock sights, put some XS, Ameriglo, Trijicon, etc iron sights on your pistol. Then go shoot it. And again. And again. And again. Until you can pull tight groups out to at least 12-15 yards. NOW you can look into red dots and compensators. Until then, you haven’t earned the right to use a red dot or compensator.
Finally someone is doing a review of this gun. Thank you
My thoughts exactly! I just snagged the compact version of this and feels absolutely great
Walther is now clearly leading the pack. Great review.
I am selling both of my Walther PDP's so I can get one of these. My first full-sized pistol was a Walther P99 and I had no idea it was the Daniel Craig 007 gun until years later. It is still my favorite and will never leave me.
Daniel Craig only used it in Casino Royale. Pierce Brosnan used in 3 films.
I’ve been there and it’s never up to expectation/hype.
P99 is the OG. Still rock my P99 comp. Best trigger....ever!
Do u have an email? 📧
Daniel Craig, Best Bond Ever. And I'm 58 years old. My Mom loves Sean C. So do I. But Daniel is better. Great video!
Love Walther goodness. Getting a PPS soon.
I cant unsee the optic hitting every ejected case throwing them forward
*sootch00* That's a way cool shooter you got there sootch, thank-you sir for taking the time to show us. GOD Bless brother.
Thank you, Walther.
I got the PDP PRO SD and love her!
Looks as big as a damn Desert Eagle.
Should see the size of other open series competition guns damn near PCCs in barrel length weight and size
It's a 5" frame.. That's a normal full size pistol. Desert Eagles are 6" and are way bigger in overall size
I WANT ONE BASED OFF The PDP F 3.5 SO THEN IT'S Just ABOUT A TICK OVER 4 INCH BARREL WITH THE COMP MUCH EASIER TO CONCEAL
@@ericnichols9275Length of barrel isn't the issue with conceal carry,it's the grip!
I love my full size PDP Pro. With a comp, it's amazing! And now they put one out with all the goodies included. Dang
Pair it with a ZR Tactical 15 lb recoil spring... itll run anything reliably. I love mine.
15lb didn't work on my pdp x pro. Waiting for 17lb spring

@pablogulielmetti3536 oh also was it the pro or the pmm and was the ZR spring captured or the long stroke?

Bought one of these about a month ago. Put a 15lb spring from zr tactical in it and it’s the flattest shooting gun I own and the trigger is fantastic
Love it! I am such a big fan of Walther!
Walther customers, “can we finally get a micro PPS m3?” 🙏
Walther, “NO! But here’s 35 different versions of the PDP!”
😆 🤣 😂 I'll take it!
i purchased two of the PDP pro's caused i loved them so much. I changed the sights to metal also. only draw-back is having to order the optic plate.

😘😘😘I've been watching your channel for a very long time. ❤For the knowledge and art of metals that come together in amazing ways.❤❤❤
Great video nice Walther pdp 9mm thanks for sharing sootch00
An all metal one of those would be perfect
I would like for walther to show a micro or smaller PDP on shot show, ok WALTHER?! 👀
A sub compact pdp! I'd be all over that!
@HVACR_ToolNut I'll dolphin dive to the store for one
Interesting design! Looks like a space gun prop.
@@Pler1978This looks 10x better than a Glock block lol..
Nice piece, Thank You Don. 👍🇺🇸

Lovely polymer gun. Might not get James Bond love. But it will get my love.
Walther sponsored my favorite show. Very cool.
Hush
My favorite PDP is the 4”, 18 rounder
PDP'S 🐐 🏆 🥇 🏅 💣 🔥
Nice shooter 👍👍
That looks rather snappy for a full size pistol with a comp.
Agreed 😂😂
"It'S tOO sNaPPy"
Says the average modern "man" with limp wrists 😂
@@TTime685 Well he does claim rockchalk while sporting a Purple icon
It is not from my personnal experience
@rockchalk2286 if you think this 9mm comp is "snappy," then you need to just shoot 22lr bud. The regular PDP 9mm compact isn't "snappy" yet along this full-size comp!
Sweet pistol. I'm 👀 their PDP match steel frame.

Now we are a few steps closer to the magnum
Love that WALTHER PDP PRO. Excellent. 👍God Bless
PSA Rock 5.7 already in compact version!
Thanks for another great video Sootch please review the Derya Dy9 by rock island.
In my experience comp’d guns prefer heavier grained ammo. I run nothing less than 124 grain in my comp’d guns but 147 is preferred.
Cool place!
Nice
in other reviews, the trigger pull was said to be at 3 pounds
Thats wrong! I wish it was, mine is about 4.5 lbs, sure it will get better but to heavy for my taste. My PPQ is 3.8 lbs
Dam.Nice.
Walther loves the letter P
6:34 Heavier springs? I don't think that's correct.. Compensated pistols typically utilize lighter springs
I'll stick with my PDP compact. Excellent gun. Glock who?😅
Full size actually should be 20 round mags. Waiting on the ZR rod/spring
They should just bring back a modified version of the p38
Impressive. I like it even tho its not my favorite looking gun. Also i bet its expensive af 😂
Market price is never less than msrp…fan from Florida this will be $1100-1300 minimal.
Did the other PDP’s have optics directly mounted without a plate? That’s what it looked like.
Holosun SCS, C&H wl-dmo. The last one doesn't co witness with stock sights

Ejection pattern looks a bit funky
It's the comp out front. My MDP Pro shoots the brass a couple of yards away.
What makes the 9mm so good
That depends on the operator
MuH baLLisTiCs TecHnoLogY
Because modern limp wristed men that can't shoot anything above that accurately say so
😊❤❤❤
Please, can you review the new Beretta XVK MCXC Super MAG Pro-X ? 😂
Think the optic is big enough 😂
Why against 147 gr, just too heavy? Nice looking gun though!
This is begging to be in 10mm
Nice pistol but Springfield Echelon all the way! PDP plastic sights? Big thumbs down 👎🏻
I own the Pro x and would say get the Echelon, its way cheaper, better sights and dont need optic plates.

Nothing special, not as eye-catching as like alien.
Not impressed
Another competition pistol... 🙄
Uaaldr 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This gun was almost perfect until he mentioned the plastic sights? Suddenly, it doesn't seem as pro x like as it should? 🤔🤏🏾
