2018 Has been a struggle so far! I am having a difficult time locating fish and getting on a bite. I try to put in the time and move around a bit but only manage a couple of stingrays.

I just have to say that I am in love with your videos! I used to live in Foley and used to go to gulf shores and orange beach all the time to go fishing. Its been a while since I have lived there or even visited (2010 was the last time I was there) and your videos take me back to the great times I had. I vacationed in GS during this same week. I fished this exact day. But my day was way better. Inshore charter for sheepshead, permit and mangrove snapper. The bite didn’t start until 10 am when it warned up. Then surf fished at 3 pm and got my first and only Redfish. ~34” & 15#. Fun!
Sounds awesome! Yeah the sheepshead have been pretty steady lately, but of course not in the surf!

Have you ever had stingray? The small ones are pretty good. Tastes like a combination of fish and shrimp. Also tastes a lot like scallops.
Was also in GS that week. Fished the 29th and bite was tough untill we figured out to down size leader and hook size. Switched to a carolina rig and the bite was on. Other people weren't getting bit but we were pretty steady. Try that next time.
I fished the 29th also, caught a ton of whiting. The bite was steady all morning. But shut down completely this day.
Fishing may suck, but at least you can get to a beach with no snow and ice. New England is snow bounded and ice covered

Bradleyoutdoors43 30-06 I know about 2 spots with structure in the surf around there. It’s not much of a secret but I don’t show that or tell people about it just for the sake of other fisherman that know those spots.

I need to do a video on this. I’ve had many ask. I have a variety. Mainly 5000 and 4000 size reels. 2 9’ rods and a 10’ in this video. I use 20 lb braid on pretty much all my reels.
