Agree i the little clip here, you can see the caracter has the same movents, same stance, the enemys explode exactly the same, the atacks are the same, and the maps environment and looks are the same aswell, like wtf even the name is similar
Forsaken Castle's kickstarter campaign was completed in 2017, their last update was in 2022. The game is likely abandoned. Meifumado was probably scam. They haven't updated since their kickstarter campaign ended. There was also some kind of copyright dispute. I don't know all the details but I believe it had something to do with the person who did the music for the trailer not getting paid.
don't get your hope to high for Hearth Forth Alicia anytime soon, kick starter started in 2014 and the game isn't out yet after 10 years. The game is still being developed but it's a One-man project so it's taking forever...
Akatori and Gestalt: Steam and Cinder are on my watch list, but unlikely to come out before 2025. Gestalt has been delayed four times now. Altered Alma looks pretty good but there's no word on it coming out in 2024. And personally, I'm really looking forward to the 1.0 version of "Frontier Hunter - Erza's wheel of fortune". While the game is more of a character action metroidvania on the easier side, that's just fine. Momodora - Moonlit Farewell is more than enough to scratch the itch for souls-vania games. Awaken - Astral Blade has a SERIOUS problem with leaps of faith (often ending with the character losing HP) and with obnoxiously tanky bosses who pack a wallop.
Last Faith is literally coming out in 2 days, lol. Tevi demo was pretty okay, and I'm someone who doesn't typically like bullet hell games. The demo for Anima Flux didn't really grab me. Nine Sols demo was awesome. I will believe that Faeland and Savior exist only when they get *firm* release dates, lol. (I would lump Gestalt in here as well, but that title at least had 2 playable demos) Not a fan of the redesign of the MC in Astral Blade. The one in the original demo was better, imo. Though I get how they thought it looked too much like Stellar Blade MC, lol. Biomorph demo was pretty sweet (though short). Waiting for a bigger one that they promised. I was kinda mixed on Grime (too much precision platforming in 2nd half- though I haven't played the updates). Curious about the sequel, b/c some of the exploration aspects, and the gameworld were pretty neat in the original. I really need to get around to that Path of Kalydra demo... Rin demo felt pretty awkward. Hopefully the final game plays better. Bo just looks awesome. Phantom Blade: Executioners is an F2P game. Not sure how that'll work in a Metroidvania format. Of the stuff not listed here, probably the one I'm most interested in is Moonlight Pulse. That demo was one of the most original things I've played in the past few years.
Did you try BIOGUN? I thought it was pretty good. Reminded me a lot of Earthworm jim. How was last faith? The demo was ok so I wasnt sure about the final game on buying it...I agree anime flux didnt grab me either while nine sols was awesome
@@peterc504 biogun is pretty fun. I thought the "up to jump and float" control was a bit awkward, but the since let you remap that, so I'm looking forward to the final release. Last Faith is pretty great if you're just looking for a nice, back to basics Gothic MV. People say it's just Bloodborne as MV, but I wouldn't know, b/c I only play on PC. One of the best game in the genre to have come out last year (Afterimage being another standout) Would also suggest you check out the Biomorph demo (unless Steam took it down already), v because that one was really fun.

A lot of these look like Hollow Knight clones. Like 100% 1-1 clones. Crowsworn and Silksong are obviously worked on by Team Cherry developers, but the others look like Hollow Knight clones, especially Lotus Knight.
