I was a Professor at USMA for over 10 years and it was the best job I ever had while on active duty in the US Army. I loved it there but my wife, not so much, so I ended up moving on to other assignments. We had so many sponsor cadets each year and my Facebook page has over 140 officers and now civilians still sending us what they are doing in their lives. It is a very regimented society at USMA but it is very rewarding to work with the cadets and help them become leaders. Great seeing the academy again even though it has changed a lot since 1974. I was there from 2002 to 2012.
Congrats. Hey tell her the guy who runs the latrine contract says hello. The cadets have to exist with latrines for months at a time, we are shoulder to shoulder with them every day out there.
Well, it's much like our de facto National Anthem was "God Save the King" (with different lyrics) until Francis Scott Key's poem about celebrating the violence of War was set to a score that most people can't easily sing...
Hudson valley native, and i work at west point. Its humbling to be out there working alone where such inportant things have happened. I want to point something out that is awful. In this current climate of hate hiding as liberalism they have torn down the george washington statue at west point to appease the new mob. I would like people to be aware of this, and to speak their minds about it.
President Reagan's address at the graduating class of the U.S. Military Academy on May 27, 1981; with my bro; who later served together with Michael Flynn in Granada and then intelligence in the middle east (no comment)...retired at 37; rich at 54 (no comment)
Please Tell me where to find the msucial Name Composer etc i commented in the other Video Methodist donor Report Korea. N And i rechonized the guitar solo but cant Filly remember so
that was the worst propaganda about B. Arnold ... same stuff we were taught in school. the truth was much deeper than him being "bitter" lol. he repeatedly lead his men to victory, only to get his valor stolen and completely ignored. then we acted surprised when he turned coat.
Keep in mind a number of Americans even then did not hold those prejudiced views (Davy Crockett furiously opposed forced removal of Native Americans and some northern leaders like Ulysses S. Grant worked in multiple ways to give minorities more rights, as did Eisenhower). Furthermore, not to defend ANY of it at all, but it's not like we were the only one to have racial persecution or oppression (the colonial powers, Australia with the aborigines, etc.). Heck, parts of Britain after World War II even had the saying "No Irish, No blacks, No dogs" (I was SHOCKED when I read about it). Even the Scandinavian countries historically oppressed the Sami people. It's a sad part of the past in much of the world, and something we should learn from and do better.
Duty Honor Country!
Great Periscope Video!!
Thanks
"The Spirit" is real. A beautiful tribute. Honor of my brother, class of '76! Go Army! Beat Navy!!!

William Shatner. Fantastic
My daughter graduated West Point in 2021. She is now serving in Patriot missile defense unit in Korea
Hope she stays safe with how insane the world is right now. Good luck to her.
@@thunderbird1921 I really appreciate your kind words

Cool!
I remember looking at W .P. as we crossed the Bare Mt. Bridge
How patriotic shatner is to US even if he is Canadian
How is it that the signature tune from the BBC’s “Mastermind” is heard throughout this film?

Why did they get a graduate of Starfleet Academy to host this?
Kirk bet on the outcome of the Army-Starfleet game, and lost. This was the payoff.
Go Army, beat Starfleet!
This was about 2 yrs before the first women cadets were admitted....I believe in '76.
Where's spock?

Vain. The battle for freedom was never about military glory. It was King Arnold of America in his mind I believe, or something similar.
BIll Shatner: West Point is... BETTER. WHY. YOU ASK? They have. THE SILVER.
Amerika, you could have really been great but you chose the path of racial persecution. Enjoy! It takes a Canadian to narrate your story. Lol!
Before his hairpiece.
Yep . TROLL.
Yea but a bunch of American farmers still stomped the shit out of you and your British masters.
