Parasomnia is a sleep disorder.
It involves unusual and undesirable experiences that disrupt the sleep.
Among them, there is nightmare disorder.
In this movie, Vera, an unmarried office employee, suffers from premonitory dreams.
In one instance, she sees a bare hand with a wedding ring missing.
In another, she has a dream in which she hears a scream and the sound of a free fall.
All of those visuals are being incarnated in real life around her, among her colleagues ...

ABOUT THE VIDEO
I went to film school starting 2011.
I studied at IESAV-USJ (Institut d'études scéniques, audiovisuelles et cinématographiques de l'Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth).
This movie was shot at the end of my first year of college.
It was my first attempt at fully writing, preparing, casting and directing.
The choice of the theme of premonition/sixth sense comes from several sources, most of them being true stories, which I have heard about.
Years later, I consider the result to be quite average.
Nonetheless, I still recollect the adrenaline and anxiety that preceded the shooting of this very first movie and I look fondly back on that time in my life.

Raymond Aftimos is a Lebanese film school graduate from IESAV-USJ and works as a filmmaker, director, editor, writer, screenwriter and researcher.
Since 2012, and apart from his personal projects, he has been active in both theatre and filmmaking and has contributed, mainly as a freelancer, to several works, under the direction of creators such as Philippe Aractingi, Betty Taoutel, Lina Abyad, Émile Sleilaty, Carmen Labaki, Feyrouz Serhal, Carol Mansour and Muna Khalidi …
He is passionate about entertainment, performing arts and music, but also equally enjoys crafting archive, portrait and historical documentaries.
