  • In the video I forgot to address the drag. The drag is on the top of the spool and needs to be adjusted on first use.

I last fished many years ago, but I can see that the Minispin is a rod and tackle to be reckoned with for catching good sized fish for cooking. Not sure if this outfit is available here in England, but it's certainly more than worth looking out for. Superb video and I truly enjoyed watching you catch those fish.

I picked up the minispin from Amazon, so you should be able to as well. It's become my go-to ultra-light rod. Love that rod. Thanks for watching.

Your welcome. I don't use a script, just wing it and be as candid as possible. Thanks for watching. Great little rod and reel.

It's a great little system. The bad thing about it is, after you put it together and use it, you don't want to put it back in the box. He should love it. keep in mind that you should keep a check that the sections don't come loose. Mine stays together pretty well except when trying to make casts longer than its really capable of. lol Good line is required. I currently have 4 lb Berkley XL and casts much better than original line and the 6 lb that I had on it. Thanks for watching. Hope your dad enjoys the pole.

Hello, love your videos! What would you recommend for catching carp? As far as type of pole, line and bait? I' have been fishing for about 2 years now but Iv never been able to catch a carp :(

+Siresin I was just thinking this morning about carp fishing. It is on my "to do list" of videos. But till I get one up, here's a little to get you started. For rod, reel and line, A spinning rod and reel that you would use for bass. At least 10 lb line. They don't require large hooks but a good heavy guage hook is good. For bait, no need to look farther than your kitchen. Bread. moist enough that you can smash it into a little ball about the size of a nickel. Usually you don't have to cast way out. about 10 feet off shore in areas where you see them. Have your drag set so you don't break your line. Hook a big one, hold on, and have fun. Hope this helps till I can get a video. The weather hasn't been good to bring the fish up in my area yet. It's still a struggle to catch a bass. Thanks for commenting and again, hope this gets you started.

+VACreepinOutdoors thanks for the reply! I really appreciate it. I'm gonna try that this summer when me and my family go on our annual camping trip. Thanks again ^^

+Siresin Carp are simple. Keep it simple. Summer time is prime time for carp. About any fish will eat bread, so don't be surprised if you catch a catfish. The larger bait will usually prevent catching smaller fish such as bluegill and the like. Have fun with your family and hopefully I will have a carp video up before hand. Please subscribe. Thanks.

+ruiruiM19 That's what I used. If it's being kept in your car, braided line might be better than monofilament. The heat can act like a curling iron with monofilament. Berkley fireline 6 lb is good. I have it on another one of my ultralights.

+ruiruiM19 2.2kg or 2.9kg if that is more helpful.
