Easy to understand 👍👍👍
This is a great video for ESL learners, even though I used it as a refresher for my grade school education. The only issue I had was when you placed the dollar sign/symbol behind/after the numbers. Typically, in the US, we place it in front, although the word is said after the numbers. Also a good way to practice (numbers specifically) for those learners in the US is to watch games shows, like the Price is Right (Come on down!)
Good observation. Thanks
The Price is Right is excellent to practice numbers. 👍
I'm learning English, this helps me... Thanks, teacher. I really appreciate...🇲🇿
That's great!
Praise from Japan, as our education of English language rarely focuses on counting or reading numbers in a systematic way, and this video would be a great complement for it.
However, I reluctantly have to point out one but the only one flaw of the video: the nation with the country code +81 (yes, Japan) doesn't have such format of phone numbers.
:p
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked my video.
Oops I should have checked the format for Japanese phone numbers. Oh well... next time! 👍
The stress is on the bigger number. Thank you for my discovery today!
Welcome! But remember that it only applies to difficult pairs like 14 and 40. The number 92 is stressed on the 2, not on the 90.
Your teaching was very encouraging me .it was impressed me. Observing your class is like eating a delicious food
So nice of you! Thanks for the visit. 🤩

Thank you. Yes, I am fascinated with the language topics ❤
Wonderful! Keep up the good work! 🤩
Thank you for this video. It 's great!
As 3:30, I learned how to read big numbers in short scale. I think that the short scale method in English language is adopted in the world.I would say "the modern world".
In Canada ,in Australia and NewZealand , people adopt short scale .But if I read some of old script, I have no idea if written numbers were in short scale or long scale , if written letters had been intended in short scale or long scale.
I don't know when the short scale became overwhelming. So sometimes I feel I am lost.😢
Glad it was helpful!
Been speaking English all my life and i about read these thank you!

Thank you so much! 🤩🤩🤩
I really appreciate this lecture! I wonder why we does not read country code for each number? (12) (000) 000 0000 is not one two but twelve. right?
Is it so that we don't get confused with the area code?
It's ok to say the country code digit by digit. That's especially effective if you want to be extra clear. 🤩👍

Hi, with the video, I learned how to say numbers in different ways. However, when I am asked the phone number, I am not secured if it's the right way to respond. In Taiwan, for example, the number starts with 09...., and there are totally 10 numbers. Therefore, I say it one by one, desparately. Is it OK?
Hello Mandy!
Yes, its ok to say each number separately. In your case, you could also say (e.g. 0918909875). O nine, eighteen ninety, ninety-eight seventy-five. We group them together because it's easier to say.
Hi! I from Brazil.

Awesome 👌 excellent work 👏 and 👍 thank you so much for this benefit lesson you really enlight me for things I really do not know it well enough 🌹💯
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad you found it useful. 🤩
It is very helpful for me ,because your video reffered to phone-number.
In my understanding ,some native speaker says
for example, 'double o" ,instead of "o-o" or "zero-zero".
and ,for another example, "double five "instead of "five-five".
It might confuse me very much.
Yes, that's right. When a number is repeated, you can say double. The most famous case being James Bond 007. (Double O seven)
Your voice is easily to hear for Japanese ❤
Hi! Glad to hear that I'm easy to understand. 🤩 Have a great weekend!

çok teşekkür ederim hep karıştırıyordum. Ancak bir sorum var. 15:45 "Country code ( 8 - 1) neden demedik?
Hi! For phone numbers, you can actually say each and every number separately but English speakers group them because it's easier and faster to say. You can say 8-1. No problem 👍
📌You're amazing teacher! ✍🏻

Thank you I am learning something new❤❤❤
You are so welcome!
Hi, this is a very good video. Thank you very much.
I have one question.
You mentioned that we emphasize the syllable of the larger number.
In a case like
23, would we emphasize the "3" at the back?
The trick with the bigger number being stressed works only for pairs of confusing numbers (14-40 / 19-90). It doesn't apply to 23 even though the three is stressed. In the number 21, the one is stressed.
This video is really useful and helpful to me..thank you so much sir for efforts. 👍🙌🫡
In india we write first date then month and then year..1/8/2009(first August two thousands nine)
Glad it was useful! And yes, you are right. Different countries have different ways to write dates... it gets confusing sometimes.

Thank you for teaching) Explain, please, how to pronounce the numbers of years, for example 1700) Thanks)
Great suggestion! I forgot to include that in ghe video. 😥
Reading the year 1700 would be "seventeen hundred" or "one thousand seven hundred."
