I did some testing on prismatic energy generation a few weeks back and found that energy gains were damage based with a cap per-frame. So pellet shotguns (or cerberus+1) look like lots of damage, but they all hit in the same frame, so they suck. But fusion rifles spread their damage over multiple frames so are great (with the exception of Coriolis Force, a weird fusion rifle that does all damage in a single frame, it's terrible). I'm confident that super generation is working the same way. This is why weapons like Kvostov and Outbreak are great, they do lots of damage, but spread out over many frames. I think your video lines up with that theory, thanks for all of the data/examples!
Multimach w/ Attrition Orbs, Kinetic Tremors, the new Synergy weapon mod, and Kinetic Siphon has been my recent favorite. Running it with Briarbinds-Novawarp for an Orb generation + Super build. Echo of Harvest, Echo of Reprisal, Power Preservation, Dynamo, Firepower, Heavy Handed, Reaper, and Distribution. Tons and tons of orbs with at least one super for every round in Onslaught. Like, similar number of Orbs to the amount of kills earned. The only way I could improve the number is if I grind for an Attrition Orbs Velocity Baton but playing with people is scary.
Side note for Thorn: On Warlock, you can spread the DoT to other enemies with Necrotic Grips, which helps a lot with keeping the ticks rolling (it also works with Ostio Striga if that's more your speed, but c'mon. Thorn's cooler). Also Revision Zero my beloved. Any excuse to use it is more than welcome.
The Stasis 900rpm SMG world drop with Rewind and Deconstruct shoots like 150 smg shots without pause and regens super insanely fast, does less dps than Outbreak (not sure how it stacks when you have PKs on though)
Anarchy! Applies KT and Weaken too! I love using it with the hunter Strand roaming super to fill both my Transcend bars up together! And Transcend with Hoil+Cyrta+Baton+Multimach prints orbs like no other, which I value for Survivability. Secret little tip, pairing the Strandsuper with WintersShroud allows you to stun 2 Champ types with ur infinite dodges in super 😂
I'm wondering if guns in D2 have a hidden "proc coefficient" stat for super and transcendence regen, like abilities have for items Risk of Rain for example. It's supposed to be based on "damage events," but if that was solely the case, weapons like Tarrabah and legendary machine guns should blow everything else out of the water. And a weapon like Khvostov shouldn't be as high above everything else as it is. I remember they made a change to make lower rpm weapons more viable to use with Thread of Generation, so there's at least been a similar lever they've been able to pull for that in the past
bad juju has been my go to for 50 wave . the huge aoe on every third kill makes it also nice for grouped up adds . and my super seems to be ready every 2-3 rounds
BadJuju better on NON-roaming supers, that recharge 1/3 as much from dealing damage. Since it gives energy on kills, something which the other mentioned weapons cant do.
Huckleberry: with cat you get kinetic tremors and it reloads after every kill, I have a built with stormbracer and get super in like 10 secs in a crowded room

That's very comprehensive. Interesting post.
Maybe not exactly frame-based (because of examples like Tarrabah), but this is certainly a good approximation.

Damn ok. I got the SMG from banshee and I put it in the vault. Does attrition proc off of hits from kinetic tremors?
Also not to be weird and comment twice but if you want I can run you through the 1st encounter glitch and we can farm some velocity batons
@@charliejones5953 Grinding like that sounds good to me
And I'm fairly certain KT counts for AO
@@charliejones5953yes it will count towards proccing attrition orbs
@@charliejones5953i’d be down to run it as well
Finally someone makes an actual comparison. Was trying to ask llama during stream but happy to see new creators pop up in my feed
Try final warning. It's a sidearm that hits more like a fusion rifle and it really generates the super energy fast!
One of the highest DPS primaries in the game
His voice is calming, fairly new YT’ber but sounds like a Vet. SUBSCRIBED! Keep up the good work/content brotha!

Yes there is a lot of hidden tuning in this game, and none of it is systematic. Its all spot-tuning thats done when something is being abused.
How does osteo striga compare to thorn
bad juju has been my go to for 50 wave . the huge aoe on every third kill makes it also nice for grouped up adds . and my super seems to be ready every 2-3 rounds
but for harder contend khvostov or final warning where you dont need kills to activate perks
Great vid brother 👍
RIP Bad Juju
Bad Juju is good, it just unfortunately requires kills, rather than being really good for super on damage dealt. Potential Bad Juju buff, though? 👀

Thank you for this video.
Bro have u tried the thunderlord for energy gain
He did watch the video. 1:48
Yarovit with rewind rounds and deconstruct.
Bad juju.
I'm really curious about Necrochasm.
🤔 you forgot about bad juju 🤷
Yeah… what? Didn’t test the exotic that supposed to give you super gains? Bad juju
Super per shot not per kill
No bad juju??
