Here's my mix of Happiness Is A Warm Gun!! This one uses 3 takes: Take 19, The final version, and the Esher demo. It starts out with take 19 for the backing track. The vocals are double-tracked using said take and the final version then the guitar solo is flown in from the final take. After that point the vocals are double-tracked using only take 19. After "mother superior jumped the gun" it then goes into the esher demo however I added and stretched Ringos drums from take 19 to keep the flow. It then goes into the final take and the double-tracking is forgone until the end where it switches back to take 19 during the high pitched "guuuunnnnn" part. Hopefully that all makes sense :)

Both Harrison and McCartney said it was their favorite song on the white album. It is my all-time favorite Beatles tune because it’s so beautiful and so many dynamic parts going on simultaneously.

I think it would have been brilliant. He wanted to I am sure, just didn't have the balls...yet. That time would come with Two Virgins and Ballad of John and Yoko. It doesn't surprise me that most people, yourself included, would feel the way you feel. After all, you are not an artist in love, and probably never have been.

There's an interview here on RUclips where it comes on the radio while he's talking and he interrupts himself to say "oh this is a great one, they never play this one" and turns it up. He even sings along, although he does joke about it

The Beatles used to sing about love, this one is about happiness but referencing so many things related to heroine which both John and yoko used at some point. Nevertheless, this sounds great!

I tend agree with George Martin when said that this really should have been a single album. There are some great songs, but a lot lesser and bad songs as well. It could be whittled down to a single album. Happiness Is A Warm Gun would certainly find a place among those tracks.

so am I!! Feel like you can't comment on the panning and balance if you haven't tried it yourself and especially if your only used to the original stereo mix for the last 50 years or so. Give it a re-listen with an open mind and then tell me what you think!!
