HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 2 авг 2020
- In this video, I go over treating Congested Acne, which is very often misdiagnosed.
The common signs are:
- Small white bumps
- They are not pimples with pus but congested
- They can spread to other areas of the face
- Food related
Foods to avoid are:
- All dairy, like milk, cheese, ice cream etc.
- Soy milk
- Egg yolks
- Omega oils
- Fried foods
Blushes that I have seen cause additional congestion with this skin condition are:
- MAC
- Bobbi Brown
- NARS

I feel like crying! 😭 This is exactly what I’ve been struggling with and have been so confused as to why no facial products are working for me. Thank you so so much for this video.
Thank you Ashleigh... i hope you are doing better. please feel free to reach out to my office for any help hello@eductaeyourskin.com

Me too!
I do have the same issue from soo long 😭 I've been struggling from 5 years.I tried every single thing but nothing happened 😭. Thankyou so much mam for this video..
Sameeee! I don’t really have “acne” it’s just so much congestion! This is so so sooo helpful. Wow
I’ve been struggling with this so much, I’ve learned that what I eat and drink affects my skin a lot. This isn’t true for everyone but it is for me and I thank you for making this video, I’ve been trying to figure out what this was !
Correct me if I'm wrong, i thought that herbal medication wasn't good for women not until when i came across with DR RORPOPOR HERBAL on youtube who cured me from Candida with his natural supplements. 💯💯
I’ve been dealing with this type of congestion and have gone about in the direction you spoke of in this video without even knowing! Just based off one mention in a facial video you briefly said your clients cheek acne was from food and not hormonal(which is what i originally thought mine was). Life changing, thank you so much for sharing your expertise!!
Wonderful news!! Thank YOUox
Dear Nerida I just can't thank you enough 😭😭😭 ❤❤❤ I've been struggling with acne since my teenage, it's been ten years now. Tried every single thing on Earth but nothing happened. Till I came across your video and followed your diet inductions. And I swear my skin has never been clearer. Something I wished for as long as I can remember. 😭 I really don't know how to thank you in words. Just sending lots of love and prayers your way. ❤️
This has been happening for years. Getting ready for my wedding and I’m so happy to hear this advice! I do extractions on them and they always came back. Now I know why! Ready to start this change and see my skin happy again!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️happy gif you that you know why they keep coming back👍🏻❤️
Always so informational, I love it! I have a client that is dealing with congestion on the chin area and automatically thought hormones, but some weren’t inflamed/sensitive to the touch and when I extracted, it was coming out worm like. No pus, so I’m assuming no bacteria. Not too sure how to tackle this and she stopped eating dairy.
Sending all my love to you Nerida!! Wishing everything was “normal” so I could attend your fun and educational workshops again ♥️
I had this type of acne for around 4 years. I started drinking bone broth everyday and within 1 week, my skin had completely cleared up. It’s now been 3 months since it’s cleared, I stopped drinking the bone broth after a month and my skin has stayed clear.
My diet prior to drinking the bone broth, was completely dairy free and fried foods very irregularly.
Anyone who reads this buy some bone broth!!
Thank you for sharing, wonderful news:))
What type of bone broth? I am not familiar with the product @tiarnne Jade
What type of bone broth do you recommend?
@@pinktruffles5156 I buy a bone broth derived from beef bones and is blended with Organic Fermented Miso, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar and Wakame flakes. The added ingredients help to help repopulate and rebalance the gut bacteria, while the bone broth itself reduces the inflammation within the gut.
The specific brand is gevity rx. ✌🏽
How much do you have a day please?
Nerida I always love your blue eye liner. Thanks for all the knowledge you give! We Estis who love what we do appreciate it. My son who is 8 yrs old already has that diet related congestion. It isnt real noticeable to others or him even, but I can see it and I know that if I dont adjust his diet that congestion will be very noticeable as he reaches pre teen years. He has always had issues with dairy internally even allergy related so it makes sense it shows on his skin.
Hello Monika, sounds like you are on top of his stomach issues which is really going to help his skin as he enters his teens years.... great job!!ox
Oooh you are back ❤. Great to see you again always love watching your videos with a nice cup of tea.
xo.
I’ve gone back and forth with dairy before when trying to clear up acne, but I never new it was the high fat specifically that was causing my congestion! All those foods you mentioned are like staples in my diet because I try to get a lot of protein 😹
I’m so happy I found you though because now I know what’s been causing my breakouts ☺️
Thank you very much!
Yes, it will change your skin.... worth giving them up:))
Then which foods we should eat to get required amount of proteins?
How much did you drink a day

I would die to see a video on the different types of acne/breakouts and which ones are extractable/not extractable and some of your different extraction techniques with the differing types? This may be asking too much but I have to ask

Thank you so much. I have never thought of the food aspects
Very informative video. I actually mentioned in my acne video on my channel how my acne reduced as I quit diary! Definitely plays a part. Thanks for this video🙏
Yep! thank you for sharing:))
I have this acne too but I knew about it and exactly it’s all food related . Pills won’t change it or certain face washes . Once I fix my food all the small bumps disappear . Good video

I definately learned something from you! Would you consider discussing closed comedones in a future video? I have congested skin but I don't think it can be extracted. I have pretty much decided it's just normal for me although I don't think it's obvious to most people.
Where is it on your face? and why do you not think it can be extracted? have you seen a facialist? how long have you had it for?
@@NeridaJoySkincare I have it mostly on my chin and my cheeks but they look quite different in the two areas and they are not open, nothing I have done such as masks, acids, retinol serum etc has made even a small change.

Hi! I just came across your channel cause I’ve been searching for months and your video FINALLY described the type of under the skin bumps I have! Cause I know it’s not milia or white heads, ugh I’m so frustrated, I have them on my cheeks, forehead and chin and like you said they don’t hurt! But you can extract it if you try. Wow. I guess I gotta quit dairy for good soon and see what happens. I was even on Doxycycline for a while it HELPED but didn’t eliminate it, it’s like a carpet of these bumps all over. Makes me SO insecure. Thank you for this video. I’ll take your advice and cut out the dairy slowly.....
If anyone has any more advice on it plz let me kno!
@@deema9482 has your skin improved after cutting dairy out? I struggle with this too and my skin has cleared up everywhere except in this one patch on my right cheek and a little on my chin. Ended up trying to extract the bumps a couple years ago and that caused a scar so it's frustrating. Going to try and cut dairy out which is going to be difficult because I love cheese and pretty much all the foods I'm supposed to avoid! My skin has responded really well to chemical exfoliation. About 3 times per week I use The Ordinary 7% glycolic toning solution and another product that I recently found that seems to be helping is Peach Slices snail rescue blemish busting toner. Stopped wearing foundation which Did help and most of my acne cleared up after about 4 months but not the congested area on my cheek. Microdart patches and hydrocolloid patches help draw out and treat these bumps too but I suspect it's the dairy in my diet that's going to have to go. Someone mentioned bone broth so maybe will try that too. Humm nutrition makes a supplement for gut health that is supposed to be very good and I would like to try that to speed up healing. One other thing I will mention that really helped my skin was Microneedle treatments. I know some people really hate the idea of it but it helped me a lot. And instead of l-ascorbic acid I do better with sodium ascorbal phosphate as there's some evidence that it can help with acne prone skin. My vitamin C serum is from Gin Amber Beauty and I swear by it. At night I like Cerave Resurfacing retinol serum. This is a lengthy response but I wanted to try and share all the things that have helped me. Sugary foods may also be something I need to at least cut down on as it seems to also potentially make my skin react. Oh, and one last thing, Sunscreen! Tula Mineral Magic Spf 30 is So good. It's expensive but I think they may be on to something with the prebiotics and probiotics in their formulas. Be careful of that brand though because a lot of their products are more expensive and contain some irritants. Hope you are well and maybe something I mentioned will be helpful. It's so hard to find products that work that don't cause more problems and everyones skin is different. 🙏
@@ellamierrose1812 can you tell me what type of diary did you consume in the first place and how often?
@Ellamier rose
Wow idk why I’m just seeing this reply! So tbh quitting dairy didn’t so much I’m cutting back on sugar…I have 2 issues regular hormonal acne and breakouts and then those little bumps, they are colorless, and literally all over my face. If I squeeze they can be extracted but it wud take hours to get everything and then if I do a lot I’ll scar. I’m like is it extremely congested skin??? I’m going to a derm next month and I want to get microneedling I need something to cure this like breakouts are enough. And I’ve taken pills for breakouts but I want a real solution!!!
@ellamierrose
I get this reaction from consuming strawberries, raspberries, Blackberries, peanuts and - yes - dairy from cows. The berry/peanut reaction is pretty intense and comes on fast. In my case though, it starts as congestion, but can end up as pretty
severe acne over time, if I dont change my eating habits. Havent noticed a reaction to soy. Interesting video. Are there studies going into this?
Milia though is not a fatty substance, its a hard keratin crystal, which some believe can be trapped In the skin when using very occlusive products, I feel Ive seen this happen, but as far as as I know,Its not understood exactly why they form.
Thank you for sharing these informations with us! ❤️ I have been to a derm for extractions but the bumps always came back! Should i try eliminating first all the foods you’ve mentioned or extract them first ?

Thank you so much for this video.🥰 I get that tipe of congestion and closed comedones, my my skin is not oily but it's dehidrated. I have few times a month diegestion problem. I'll try to be really careful with food.

I was sooo looking for an answer on eggs and food acne!
Thankyou...we would love to see more of these!
Please suggest a medicine to heal them faster... I have been using Azelaic acid on food related chin acne and I have a skin care routine like Tretinoin and all...I sometimes get rosacea as my skin has become sensitive due to food acne!
Love this video❤👍
This is very informative thank you very much 🙏🏾😍
Very helpful. Thanks!
Hi nedira can you do a video about about pustules and papule like acne in depth great video btw! Everything was on point the body does have a hard time recognizing these things a dear friend of mine has this form of acne and she swears by digestive enzymes and oil of oregano capsules and eating these foods very rarely.
Digestive enzymes can help...but its better to stay away from the foods..... enzymes will not be as effective later in life:))
Thank you thank you sooo much. For some years I have realised after I eat I would tend to get spots after eating. I always thought it was hormonal. Goodness I need a gut cleanse.
this is great information! I don't eat dairy, eggs, red meat and pork it does help, also using curology which is helping, I do get acne before my period, is that considered hormonal acne?? Thank you!
Hi Nerida! Would you say there are any restrictions for sugar, bread, and/or pasta? I have similar skin as the one you mentioned in the video and want to make sure aside from the foods you mentioned to avoid, there might be other restrictions. Thank you so much!
i have this and have been clear of all the good you mentioned and yes it did help a lot thankfully 😊 but i also do experience and red/inflamed angry pimple every now and then ,wondering where that is coming from
It's so assuring hearing this perspective from an expert. I had previously proposed the idea of certain foods triggering skin conditions to my dermatologist who dismissed it as a hormonal issue. However, upon eliminating these foods from my diet the skin improved.
My question would then be, can the built up/congestion spread to the forehead or T-zone area?
Thanks for the video.
yes, it can spread to the forehead....as that is also small intestine and large in face mapping:))xo

Hi! This is extremely helpful, thanks. Should I avoid avocados too if I have this type of acne? I’ve tried EVERYTHING and nothing seems to works but I’ve never avoided egg yolks (I eat at least 3 eggs per day) and avocado everyday too, so should I avoid this? Thanks!!!
Thanks for this video! You hit many points that I am facing now. Most of the congestions are in the middle of my cheek areas. I might have a gall bladder issue as I often bloat and cannot digest very well so the doctors suggested I take pre and probiotics supplement which helped but I still get gastric attacks every now and then. The bloat is worst during ovulation (mid cycle of my period).
My aesthetician extracts the congestion using fingers that are thickly wrapped with gauze. However, I find that after each extraction session, she probably only removes 5% of what's there overall and my skin is always still very bumpy so much so that I tend to extract them myself but the rate of them reappearing is way faster than I can extract (I am talking about reappearance in about 12 hours every day!) Not sure what can slow this congestion rate but will try your recommendations on diet.
The probiotics are a bit of a band aid.... stop the foods...that is what will slow and stop the congestion. Go to a facialist that will extract more then 5%. as thats not enough:)
I’ve missed U on RUclips ❤️
I am back:)))xo
I visited about 3 dermatologists and yet nothing worked for me!!! Today I researched about my skin on internet and discovered that I actually have congested skin type which I mistook for acne prone skin...thankyou for the video🙏 I really learnt something today!!
Did anything help? Thank you
Can you mention the omega foods to avoid? What about chia seeds and avocados? I eat both of these often, but I saw those on the list when looking up omega foods.
I've been going through this which developed in August during a time where I was going gym alot, swimming, and consuming a large amount of sugar and dairy. I had also just be getting treatment from my seborrhoeic Dermatitis and taking B12. I spoke to the dermatologist and they recommended a derma white treatment which is quite pricey.
Is there an alternative skin care solution to help exctract the congested acne?
Followed all your advice from your videos over the last year or so and it’s been a game changer finding your channel! My skin is clear and healthy and it’s thanks to your advice. One question - I always double cleanse but was wondering if I’m not wearing make up in the day (teacher on holidays!:)) should I still be double cleansing at night? The fact that milk is used in so many products is insane
And yes my dad ! Had bad acne at 26 -27 and it was due to his bad acne luckily I caught it early I have been eating this way 1 year and a half
Great news:))
Are olive & avocado oils okay to use while cooking? I’m currently taking an omega-3 pill with a higher EPA, should I stop taking that?
Hello thank u for this! I’ve been struggling with acne since march. My skin used to always have some pimples but since march everything started on my cheeks and I don’t know why I started with retinol it made my skin much worse. Since 3 months the acne on my cheeks is so so bad like even on my neck I don’t get it just as u explained in the video. I noticed that it Durant fully look like normal acne but also I eat everything u mention in this video 😢 I really wanna cry not because I’m insecure just because everyone says something different and I really spent a lot of money on skin care I can’t anymore
Managed to clear up my skin really well after using the right products for my skin and I actually had to stop wearing foundation because it was making things worse. That took several months to completely clear up but my makeup was definitely causing issues. Going to try and cut dairy and possibly sugar out because I have one patch of skin on my cheek that hasn't responded despite the rest of my skin clearing up. It's just these white bumps that are super annoying and have caused me to feel very insecure. I suspect it must be food allergy or something would have helped by now. Sometimes it's better and sometimes it's worse but it's been really bad lately and I think it's due to these energy drinks I love so much which happen to contain milk. Thanks for all the information! I'll try your recommendations to avoid and see how it goes. 🙂

Hi any updates? I think I’m going to have to cut sugar, caffeine, processed foods.. already vegan but not Whole Foods and let’s be honest if not eating rainbow sometimes is not enough 😅
Hi Nerida, what if I do have these tiny bumps in the areas you're speaking of, but you can squeeze stuff out of them? Is this still the same kind of acne? They're not painful to the touch, so not hormonal. I don't really eat any of the things you speak of, except for peanut butter, but not often, so I'm wondering if mine isn't food related? Thank you!!
Yes, there usually is little that comes out when you squeeze them:)
My skin has been the worst ever since I increased my protein and fats.. most of my protein is coming from dairy and fats! I’m going to try incorporating more veggies and fruits into my life! My skin is way more important than the gains.
What lipgloss are you wearing here? Looks lovely
I know that talc in any powder (blush, foundation, finishing powder, even eyeshadow) will cause clogs without fail!
:))
I could never handle most dairy but cheese I loved. I stopped eating cheese, peanuts and Bananas and I have improved. I still have itchy but tiny and painful spots breaking out but they are fewer. I am celebrating my progress
Would you recommend using a retinoid for this type of acne? Whilst quitting the foods you mentioned.
I am mind blown! I consume so much dairy. And love peanut butter. I am starting tmr. I buy all the “best” stuff for my face but nothing seems to work
What if it’s just on my chin? I’ve noticed it goes away if I stop eating dairy. But I still get pimples there.
What's the food we can eat ? Are avocados good ?
Are the bumps ever red? Mine look like an allergy mainly on my cheeks, not like a pimple. I can’t figure out if it is rosacea or an allergy. I feel like it’s an allergy.
This is very helpful ! Thank you so much !!
Could you tell me that congested acne and closed comedones.. are they the same ? I’ve been using salicylic acid … is it a right ingredient to cure it ? 🙏🏻
Did it help?
Can you do a segment on back acne, causes and treatments please?
Yes, :))
Thankyou so much for this video! I’m 46 and had clear skin all my life until the last 3 years. I have severe functional gut disease, and a non alcoholic diffuse fatty liver.. I have this exact type of acne, and it’s soul destroying. I have to extract (as you say) as they do not go away if you don’t. I use Zo salicylic acid pads nightly, also, which has slightly helped. I will definitely try eliminating these foods from my diet! 🙏🏽❤️
Yes, it will change your life if you do...skin and stomach:))

Nerida, I’ve been so certain that this is the issue with my skin that I’ve had for few years now! The description fits my skin problem really well, but my white bumps (look like closed comedones) end up turning into pimples that hurt with pus in them if I don’t extract them, they’re all located around my mouth area, chin and jawline. Is this the same white bumps you are talking about that are food related or am I way off track? Please help!
If they end up painful to the touch... no. Painful is hormonal, and around the mouth is the sex organs in face mapping....hormonal:))
Nerida Joy You’re an angel for answering, thank you! You are appreciated by many
Is almond milk good? Also does ibs make this acne come out ? I have a BUNCH of white dots on my cheeks and under my jaw and they never go away
What do you recommend for alternatives to Omega oils? Are Chia seeds/flax seeds appropriate?
Yes, both are great:))
I had mild wings yesterday, ice cream and milk yesterday and woke up with a lot of bumps on my face and neck. I'm wondering which of those foods caused it
Ive had this issue with my skins for yearssss. Sadly after going through many treatments i did come to realize it was food that was the issue. It’s very hard to give up cheese 😅but hearing it from a professional is a little more motivational. My only issue is im a pescatarian so hearing no salmon is discouraging 😢 Is it recommended to avoid goat cheese as well?
Oh, it makes sense that my pimples doesn't hurt, sugar really makes my chin flair up..
You said there is nothing in the bumps; how can they be extracted? Perhaps I misunderstood?
Nereida question I take omega 3 and it helped my acne I guess mine was a mix of dairy infused acne but the omega 3 did help me I take 4 a day just curious on ur thoughts
You may not be sensitive to the "fats" which makes it a different type of acne that you have. Not everyone needs to give up fats....depends:) But glad it is helping you:)))))
Is taking an intolerance test going to help with figuring out what I’m not digesting properly and is showing up on my face? Thank u.
Its good to do as it is interesting!, but its not going to be as effective for your skin as what i am speaking about:))
I have got so many bumps on my forehead T zone but not on the cheeks area. with all the symptoms like as you mentioned in the description box. .so is it cause of diary or something else?

I realised that i get this type of problem after using sunblock. No matter which one i use I get this bumps on cheeks and chin, not forhead. It is really a problem for me because right now i can not use sunblock on my face.
Should I ditch all soy, or just soy milk? Are other plant milks ok?
I have the same issue but mine is painful to touch it’s just closed comodones under my chin and jaw line which later comes to the surface but it’s so painful I stayed off diary I saw great improvement but now it’s back again I don’t really understand what the problem is anymore
Hey great video!!
Also do you think taking probiotics could help?
nope.... just go off the foods! once your skin improves then you can decide if probiotics is a good option:))
Hi can you please take a virtual appointment to diagnose my acne?

Please do a video meal plan without acne prone food

Again my dermatologist told me to take isotretinoin for 4months and I'm taking . But after watching your video i think it's my stomach that causing me these bumps
Is there a test I can do to tell what foods are causing my acne?
Instead of getting it extracted, can I oil cleanse, steam my face and use a clay mask? And also, are those the only foods we need to cut out, thank you very much this video was actually really helpful because there’s not many videos covering this topic
