I've been driving my Giulia Veloce 280 hp for almost 5 years now. My last car was BMW 630i and there's no looking back. The daily joy of driving is incomparable to the stupid BMW I gladly ditched. Indeed, the car is underrated but this gives us, all Alfa lovers, the luxury or rarity.
@Reality if ,,copy" means winning design prices even after 6 years, getting compliments from strangers on the streets and making people turn their heads then so be it. 🤡
@Reality lol wtf are you talking, nobody wants to hear your personal bs. If you want to show us something then talk with facts or sources. Besides of that lots of people say its a ,,copy" of the F30, which i can undertand a little bit because of the silhouette but E90 is bs, the biggest bs we ever heared. And again: if ,,copying the E90" means winning design prices even after 6 years, getting compliments from strangers on the streets and making people turn their heads then so be it. 🤡
I drive a 2021 Giulia and everywhere I go people love it, so in that respect it's not underrated at all...but you're right that few people buy one. Maybe most people really do want the 76 shades of ambient lighting and the fanciest infotainment. One benefit I didn't expect when I got my Giulia is that I seem to have entered a club. Giulia drivers wave at each other when we pass by!
All my mates said I should’ve got a BMW, Audi or Mercedes. But I’m so happy I wasn’t a sheep and followed behind everybody else. I honestly love my Alfa, and I get more comments from random strangers that admire the car, It’s definitely a special car. I can’t see myself purchasing anything else, but an Alfa in the future. I still remember taking the car for a test drive and hitting the first roundabout and my first thoughts were oh my God, the steering is unbelievable…..
A good honest review of the Giulia Veloce, I purchased a 2018 model, 2 years ago, I have not had a single problem. Alfa Romeo have created a beautiful and reliable performance family car, the best car in this category by a mile. well done Alfa Romeo.
@@dylanoppeneer2354yeah I have 68 plate and the battery is known to lose its charge quite easily and then the power prioritisation kicks in and certain things get deactivated like the auto-stop start, the rear view démonter etc. I know because it happened to mine and dealer told me it was a known issue. Having said that, what a car. I love mine. Q2 Veloce with the sports pack adaptive suspension amongst other options. I can’t see myself ever selling it. Wonderful handling car.
I have a 2017 ti sport, and I had a oil leak... Had to get the oil cooler replaced :(. was about $1500. Also when the battery gets low it doesn't show you, but instead it starts showing all these dash check engine lights, service electronic throttle, so you end up going on a wild goose chase, but as soon as you replace with a new battery, everything gets back to normal. But I still love it lol
Had a Ti Sport for three years and it was totally reliable. Stunning chassis, quick steering, sports car handling in a 4 door sedan. And no ugly tablet stuck on the dash. Infotainment was fine btw.
Great review and I actually have to agree with most of what you've said. Other than the interior, as personally I actually like the decluttered approach alfa decided to take. It feels more like a timeless interior to me than that of the competition - sticking an ipad onto a dash. I have put 120,000 miles on my guilia (base model 200hp), and although I have to agree about the stock 2L engine and gearbox, I have had mine tuned by celtic (324hp). It now runs smoother than before through the gears also (I have done over 30,000 with the tune). Just replace the stock battery as anyone will tell you in the forums, this car is not a driveway princess. It needs to be driven regularly and preferably kept on a trickle charger if you can. Most of the issues are related to the batteries going wrong. As for the car itself I genuinely can't describe how happy it makes me everytime I see it parked up, or am behind the wheel. I'm not typically what you would consider a materialistic person at all, I'm just into my cars and that's my thing I guess. If what you want is smile per mile then this car quite frankly is in my opinion going to be one of the last affordable daily drivers cars ever made. If you're on the edge about getting one due to "reliability issues" then go drive one. Most modern cars will have technical faults soon after release, BMW ironically being far worse for recals yet has a stronger brand name. I am almost certain the Guilia will be a future classic as it has the performance and the environmental credentials that I believe will be needed to run a car in the future. As well as the safety and automated features. Put it this way, I won't be driving anything else as a daily as far as I can tell other than possibly upgrading to the QV model once they have depreciated further. Just book a test drive, honeslty lifes too short.
You’ve stolen the words from me, well said, sir. The fanboy thing with German cars is weird. I’d almost call it sheep-like in their purchasing decisions. Which is fine for the Alfisti as they know they’ve got something special on their drive, not something anonymous. As I’ve said many times before, the Alfa Giulia is a car for the cognoscenti and a nailed-on future classic. Some of the German cars are quite good but simply lack Alfa’s panache….can’t say I’m too keen on the German cars unreliability issues, either.
There are many reasons I got my 2020 Giulia. This video encapsulates everything I like about it. I’ve been in the entry level C300 and 3 series. They just don’t give me the emotion and performance I wanted. “How emotional can a 4 banger be?” Well not much, but everything else about the Giulia gives me that. It’s looks, handling, simple yet stylish interior, and uniqueness on the road really sold me😊Owned it for almost a year now, zero issues, zero shop visits just regular maintenance. People need to get over the Alfa reliability stigma. Have you been at a BMW dealer? They are packed with cars in the shop. All these entry level luxury cars are similar in reliability. Just try them all out. Maybe the Giulia will surprise you.
This badge scream ownership nightmare and lengthy repair history, with snobby overrated Italian driving experience and "La Dolce Vita" I dont see why Alfa havent just given up yet, especially when Toyota Crown Athlete and GR Corolla provide the same things and for way better value
The badge in the front is a sign of a long and successful history. If you can't acknowledge this, then obviously the statemrnt you made stricty applies for your self 😂
@@tanaka90 I have 3rd now, zero problems.....oh wait....I have one....the fuel tank....I have to fiil it up in every 600km...can anybody help me? If You compare Alfa to Toyota it is clear that You don't know anything about cars btw...
Fun fact: the Giulia is considered a light and nimble car, but when the 159 launched in the 2000s with the exact same weight, it was considered unbearably heavy.
Cars got heavier and what was once considered heavy now is not… isn’t that a common knowledge? I can’t even drive new hummer EV with car license bcs it is so heavy 😁
I watched James' long term ownership videos on the Giulia as they were being released last year so it's awesome to see him again in another channel to sing the praises of the car
I’m enjoying my Veloce for 40k miles now. Wonderful car, a delight to drive. It’s frustrating people still make those well known jokes about Alfa’s reliability. Joke is on most of them, they all drive Audi’s, Bmw’s, Mercedes or Tesla’s. They all had issues at one point. My point to those who are in doubt buying an Alfa Romeo Giulia: don’t, you’ll thank me later…😊
Everyone I know with an Audi, Merc or BMW has had loads of trouble with their cars … they just don’t talk about it (the legendary German reliability is a fallacy). I’ll stick with my totally reliable Italian cars, thank you very much!
just remember...AUDI, BMW have been blowing up engines for years...in its 100 + years Alfa has never had a blown engine! their engineering has and always will be flawless because they are builders!
This Giulia is gonna be remembered for years to come. When the whole electrification thing gets real, we'll look back to this masterpiece with longing and admiration.
I leased a 2018 Giulia Veloce in Misano blue and had optional yellow callipers and 19” dark hole alloys . Everywhere I went i got compliments and it just gave you a warm fuzzy feeling. I have to admit I prefer the early headlights with the angry brow DRLs but it still looks a gorgeous car .
The Giulia is an absolute cracker now. A proper driver's car and its different and beautiful all at the same time. A future classic. Driving it is an event and when you walk away from it you cannot help yourself by looking back at it. Just wonderful in every way.
Been driving 2019 Veloce for over a year now, and it is safe to say that it is one of the best handling sport saloons on the market! Not to mention the looks and feel that this car provides every time you drive it. Absolutely sweet!
I owned one of these for 5 years and loved every moment of it. What a wonderful drive… I let it go because I was concerned about long term dependability, but in retrospect I wish I hadn’t. I purchased something else and instantly regretted it. I’ve since moved on to a an older M series B58 BMW, which is fantastic. I will have to modify it to match the drive of the Alfa, there is no question. As good as the BMW is, the drive is not quite the same. The Alfa is incredibly crisp and responsive, and so balanced and elegant. What a magical car to drive. I know the quadrofoglio is there if you want crazy power, but it would be amazing to have something like the B58 in there along with the BMW gearbox. Anyway, regardless, I feel my 2016 Giulia base model with the Veloce pack was the best car I’ve ever driven.
I had a 2017 Giulia on a 27 months lease before; absolutely love the car - it is the real "ultimate driving machine" within the small sedan category, and this is coming from a guy who is a BMW fan and currently drives a M4 F82. I miss my Giulia!
I have 3 911s including a GT3 and a Giulia Quadrifoglio that I bought in 2018. The QV is the car I love more than any including the Ferraris AMG and Mcars I've owned. A test drive does not explain it.
I'm almost in the exact same boat. I have a 991.2 911 GTS and a Stelvio Quadrifoglio, and I just about prefer driving the Alfa! Can you try to isolate what it is on your end? Cheers!
Thank heavens for chaps like you. Alfa Romeo is simply beautiful. I love that marque. A jewel in a sea of boringness in the form of Beemers, Mercs and Audis.
You are totally right. Giulia is superior to the competitors for the way it looks and drive. People turn around when they see one of these on the road while don’t even notice anymore a bmw. Giulia is a work of art
I agree completely with your assessment of the Giulia! I just bought a 2023 Veloce with leather trim and various other options. So far it has a whopping 109 miles on it but I know what I’m getting into. I traded my 2018 Ti Sport which I purchased new and put 50,000 miles on it. I didn’t even bother looking at or driving competitive cars. I already knew what I wanted!!
Light and ballanced weight distribution, double wish bone front, good steering and rwd, paired with brembos is all you need in a street car. I drive a 2018 rwd ATS and Julia is the only car I would buy next so far.
@Reality In my city alone, we have 1300 fixed speed cameras and probably another 300 mobile speed cameras (they could be anywhere). You lose your licence if you go 25kmh above the speed limit (limits are as low as 40kmh). Yes, you can go above that speed in any car, but in a QV you can easily do 30km/h over the limit in about 0.5 of a second. It is a waste having such an expensive car. I bought a 15 year old $6,000 car instead. Does the same job 99% of the time
@@tfj100 1300 fixed speed cameras in a city? 😭 My goodness, how are you supposed to even commute in a big country like that down under? I almost feel blessed for European roads and speed limits, especially the Autobahn and the Czech highway where there is virtually no speed limit.
Thank you for validating my feelings on the subject. I have ordered a 2024 Veloce Q4 in Rosso Etna, and hope to keep it for many years. I’m calling it now, it is going to be a contemporary classic.
I'm in the US and on my second Giulia 280 hp. The first a 2017 misano blue I drove to 99,000 miles. I now have a 2022 in red. The Giulia has several unique features (1) a carbon fiber drive shaft (2) 95% of the engine sits *behind the front suspension tower and (3) the steering is lightening accurate and quick at a 1:11.8 ratio. If I come around a sharp left turn on our interstate highway system and a disabled car sits on the left shoulder barely out of the left lane, it is a deft manuver to avoid due to the quick steering. Alfa all the way for me. I do own a 2001 Audi TT Quattro manual coupe for a nice change, but the Alfa is my daily and handles all 3-15 hour road trips.
Now in my 3rd giulia, had the diesel, the 2.0 petrol, and now have the V6, and they’re all very different, and all very special. The QV however is a masterpiece, and it’s the best car I’ve ever had by a mile. I’ve tried every other saloon and none of them made me feel as happy as that things does… not even close…. How do you even quantify that
Own a 2022 Veloce and totally agree!. No one knows it's been out for seven years because there isn't a ton of them on the road. Happy Motoring fellow Alfa drivers!
I live in Malaysia, it's hard to find a glimpse of this legend brand on highway or regular roads... last time Alfa Romeo entered this country in 2010... which introduced Alfa Romeo Giuletta to the public....but sadly the company which bring this brand was closed until now caused by low request from the malaysian people... hope this beautiful new Alfa Romeo Giulia will come to my country one day...
@@8rick1aneI bet you've never driven an Alfa Romeo but you're here talking nonsense. I don't expect much from a guy who records a spider killing a fly lol
I've had one since 2018, and it is indeed lovely. The steering and ride/handling balance are excellent. Looks terrific. Do wish it came with a manual though.
Love my Giulia. It gets driven hard. Has been rock solid dependable. Strangely, as it is getting some age on it, you can see and appreciate the quality as it’s wearing very gently the leather is extremely high quality as well. The older it gets the more you see it is not cheap. I just can’t decide whether to sell my 2019 for a new one or just keep the old one. The motor, trans, and chassis are all perfect as the day I bought it.
I see a lot of nice comments. Looks like I'm the only one to get a dog! Problem driving from the out of town dealership to the house. Two weeks later it won't start.Had to drag it out the garage and put it on a tow truck. Dealership, service and Alfa USA experience were all awful!! I got it on a three year lease because it was different but got tired of the problems. Turned it in three months early and purchased a 2015 RC F. The dealership was shut down about 7 months later. Glad you guys are having good luck with yours.
I just wished they made a Giulia Coupè and a Giulia convertible, had to get a 4 series cause I wanted to get the top off, but if there was a Giulia convertible I would have 100% went for for it
The masses forget but Alfa Romeo is the creator and pioneer of the sports saloon way back in 1955! Easily the best-looking in it's class hasn't been bettered for design and style!
Great review! I bought a veloce Q4 in misano blue, yellow callipers, big black rims and the QV carbon fiber spoiler a few months ago. Thing's a beast and a real head turner. Best saloon out there!
All and all, still the best car in the world, as I say, Cars are machines, Alfas are Alive. I have a 2018 60000km, not one single fault. Its a 4 door Ferrari for everyone that loves driving. Thank you for a honest video. Ps. My father as a Stelvio with the ZF8, but I still prefer the manual in my Giulia.
The only reason that I won't buy it instantly is the lack of a sportswagon version, still enjoying my 159 every day and despite all the Alfa Romeo haters nagging about reliability, it's the most reliable car I've ever had.
Been driving my 2018 for 5 years, 42,000 miles, since new, and it’s been great. Mine has the staggered wheel and tire setup which I don’t think is offered anymore.
I leased a 2019 Giulia TI Sport in gray with the cognac interior and 19 inch 5-hole wheels with yellow brake calipers. 2 years into the lease I decided to just buy the car right out. This is the best-driving entry level luxury sedan by far. I had owned an A4 and a 3 series before, those are great cars, but they feel sterile to me. The Alfa feels passionate and racy. I agree 100% with the points you make in the review. The suspension is perfectly balanced, the car corners really well yet it goes through bumps and cruises with ease. It does not have any of the flashy interior led lighting you find in newer Mercedes which to me, are cheap ways to convey luxury. The Giulia is a true drivers car, and when spec’d correctly, it’s a complement magnet. I plan on keeping my Giulia for a long time, changing the oil every 5k miles, letting it idle for a min in the morning, driving it easy until it reaches optimal temperature, then enjoying every corner. Great review!
Petrol heads love it; only "underrated" because there aren't 400 Alfa Dealers shoveling them at the $699 a month lease crowds. I'll admit Benz/BMW/Audi have the edge overall; those much larger companies can put a lot more tech features in at the same price point. However the Alfa buyer doesn't care about 10 parking cameras; they care about the DRIVE. I have a 2017 Giulia Ti with 70K miles and it looks and moves like it did five years ago.
Gosh, cannot believe I’ve been lusting over this car for 7 years now!! Unfortunately cannot afford it but I would defineltly buy this. I just hope Alfa don’t stop making them before then.
I've had my 2018 Veloce (with Performance pack) for 2 and a half years now. 12k miles when I bought it, almost onto 50k now. An absolute delight of a car and id 100% agree that its the car you buy if you're a 'driver'. I can forgive it for the sharp gearshifter, as the paddles do the work 👌 The only thing I wouldn't agree on is the comments on the adaptive dampers; I think they are brilliant. The adjustment of the suspension between the 3 drive modes really helps the car change to your driving mood. In dynamic mode, the firm damping is brilliant if you're in the mood - even better when you flick it to soft dampers in Dynamic mode.....it just eats up the road! Better still, I'll be switching to the winter tyres again soon, which always reminds me how much better the car is without runflat tyres on it. 👌 A great car and feels just as great jumping in it today as it did when I bought it.
Fantastic car. I've got a 2017 Giulia speciale and I've done 25,000 miles since buying it, not a single issue. It's so much fun to drive. The handling is perfect and it gets alot of attention. Take the risk and get one for sure
I drove the heavy engined BMW 3-series and Audi a4-series. 4 years ago in testdrove a Giulia Veloce (the 4wd version). It made my BMW feel like it was driving on watermelons. The drive was really impeccable: crisp, clean, agile. As you said: in a class of its own. I eventually choose the Maserati Ghibli (haters: don’t bother). I know, completely different car, but it was ergonomically a better car for me (6 ft 8..). But this review again makes my want to buy a Giulia….
If I was in the market for this type of car, it would be a no brainer. Would have one in an instant. I adored my 159, I would have another Alfa in a heartbeat. Soul…..cliche, but true. Nothing the Germans have
I don't understand why this doesn't sell better in the UK I put it down to a lack of dealerships. In the south of France, I see loads and they have style! There are rumours Lancia is making a comeback in this sector as the Lybra was the last model since 2005.
I love my 2019 Giulia Veloce, I have now done 30k mileage since owning it and I can say for me that it is the best all rounder I have ever owned and I have owned all the German alternatives. It is such a great drive, it is different and so pretty to look at. It's brilliant!
I've got a 20 plate Stelvio Veloce....The interior styling knocks spots of everything and is on par with Porsche.....Air con controls and quality aluminum paddles are a dream....I love it
Six year Veloce owner from new. Just had new brake discs fitted all around after 41201K miles. Absolutely love the car, no reliability issues solid as a rock. Would buy another one in a heartbeat. I also like the fact that their not common, had new tyres fitted last week and the chap at Kwick Fit tyres was droling over the car and had never seen a veloce before and said it was BANGING (great looking) car! Turned heads all day when i first got it. Love it death.
I had every intention of buying a RS 5 next. After driving BMW, Mercedes & Audi over the years, and a recent drive in a Giulia, my next purchase will be a Giulia. What a ride! I am convinced. Seeing as I would like a SUV, I may just stick with Alfa, too.
I owned one and my biggest regret was selling it-nothing beats it- review is so spot on - I am looking to buy another one now - I had a 911 after the Alfa a 2020 911 and the handling wasn’t a patch on the Alfa- so supple and lithe and classy -
I’ve had my Sport Ti since 2019. 42k miles. Had the battery drain once requiring a computer reset after I left it in the garage for 3 months. Other than that zero issues. The old Alfa of the 70s and 80s are gone. My fiancé has a 2021 BMW 330i, more check engine lights and annoying idrive problems in under 30k miles. It really is pick of the draw with modern cars. Plus the alfa drives and looks much much more epic.
"Why so underrated?" May because some people used to say "Not as Good as its German Rivals" Alfa can do anything better, but lot of journalists still uses their same false cliches: "Alfas aren't a Reliable Cars" etc.
Getting my Giulia in a month and I cannot wait. If u would hand me anything else now, I would be happy to reject pretty much anything. Thank u for the well made video
I’ve got a 2019 giulia base here in USA, 30k miles not a hiccup, and she gets driven hard, long road trips as well. Obviously it’s the best looking sedan on the road, VIVA ALFA !!!!
I had 2 Giulias. First one was first generation QV, it was wrecked when I was rear ended by idiot in M3 when I stopped on zebra, and he wanted to race. I really loved it. I dove it daily for 2 and a half years and I never had a single issue. I did 35000 km with it. Second Giulia was facelifted Veloce q4 2.0 ( i realised I really don't need 500 hp since i don't drive fast or do track days). I was also very good, but I had some issues with air intake sensor. After they changed it car run gr8. unfortunately this Giulia had even shorter life. 3 months after I got it we had big earthquake and whole building collapsed on it. Now I drive Stelvio 2.2 diesel
True comment for me about the ambient lighting, is there anyone else who gets in a car who turns it off with they get in a car? Also the Alfa is a win for me for having physical controls rather than a touch screen.
I really wanted to love the Giulia, but the engine is the most important aspect of a car for me. Its just such a shame the Veloce is has a four cylinder up front and Alfa never made a halfway house between that and the Quad. There is a 230bhp shaped hole in between the two, more than enough room for a nice 6 cylinder with ~350bhp.
agree, but even this 4-cyl after a bit of good remapping pushes out 300-310hp which, weighing less, holds up or betters S4 or C43. if you go with hybrid turbo you get to 350-370hp. M340 is out of reach. but QV destroyes them all, including M3, C63 or RS4.
@@cyclops1337 There's more to a car than bhp numbers. You can also buy a Golf R and tune one to be comfortably quicker than a 340/S4, it'll still be a 4 cylinder turbo though. An executive saloon car should have an engine which sounds and feels luxurious and expensive, you simply can't get that out of a 4 banger. Oh, and you can remap a 340i too, a Veloce wouldn't be in the same stratosphere as a remapped B58.
@@asimmalik6378 i agree, however, eco fascist policies are at work here downsizing engines. still sounds ok - at least has normal exhaust unlike Mercedes of nowadays. Golf is not in the same class or league. M340 as i said is not reachable - that 6cyl which puts out easily 450hp. this is QV territory then.

I love to hear experiences like this. What colour is it?
I feel the same about my Veloce!

I’m happy for you. As I said before, I can understand what the car means to you. It can be more than just a means from a to b
What a great and honest review!
The Alfa Giulia is the best car in its category, best design, and best driving experience.

No dealer in Louisiana.
I agree, my dealer in Texas truly sucks.
Most people buy a car for the badge and not what's underneath the panels
This badge scream ownership nightmare and lengthy repair history, with snobby overrated Italian driving experience and "La Dolce Vita"
I dont see why Alfa havent just given up yet, especially when Toyota Crown Athlete and GR Corolla provide the same things and for way better value
Then buy the car with the most beautiful badge out there, with the red cross and the crowned serpent devouring a man!

I agree on the headlights. The angry brows make it. They look so good on the road.
Agree with you. I have a 2022 Giulia and love it. Best driving experience I've owned.
I owned a 2018 Giulia diesel and I completely fell in love with it. It’s the closest driving experience to a sport car, without driving a sports car.
Their diesel engines are quite fantastic
@@studiocalder818 It’s a fantastic engine, especially with a decent remap. And the 2.0 and 2.9 are even better engines.
The feeling that the first Alfetta gave me after the Merc and the BMW 520. I really understood the joy of driving well
If one can't have the Quadrifoglio, at least get the Ti with the Sport package.
you know these things are going to be the next bmw e46 right?
I agree with you - I sold my Alfa and I regret it so so much - I am looking to buy one again
Cheers!
sounds i made the right choice.. bought myself a giulia quadrifoglio performante (2024) and chosen it over a porsche ;)
One of the best driving cars on the market today🇮🇹🇮🇹!!!
Reliable too!!
If I had the money I'd choose it over the bmw, audi or merc
Had a QV for 4 years. Fantastic car, perfectly reliable. Only problem was too powerful for our nanny state here in Australia.
@Reality Where do you live? Ever driven in Australia?
@Reality In my city alone, we have 1300 fixed speed cameras and probably another 300 mobile speed cameras (they could be anywhere). You lose your licence if you go 25kmh above the speed limit (limits are as low as 40kmh). Yes, you can go above that speed in any car, but in a QV you can easily do 30km/h over the limit in about 0.5 of a second. It is a waste having such an expensive car. I bought a 15 year old $6,000 car instead. Does the same job 99% of the time
I bought an RS4 and am kicking myself now. My son now works for Vicroads and believe thing are only going to get worse!
@@tfj100 1300 fixed speed cameras in a city? 😭 My goodness, how are you supposed to even commute in a big country like that down under? I almost feel blessed for European roads and speed limits, especially the Autobahn and the Czech highway where there is virtually no speed limit.
The best saloon car last 25 years 🤷🏻♂️simple
I am a BMW F30 3 series owner, hopefully i want to buy a 2.0L 280 hp Giulia next year if market keeps up.
I wish that Alfas sold better. As for the Giulia and Stelvio in particular, I'm hopeful that the Giorgio platform will have a worthy successor.
so true, Giulia drives much better than the german competition !

I've had one since 2018, and it is indeed lovely. The steering and ride/handling balance are excellent. Looks terrific. Do wish it came with a manual though.
Like in the good old days?
Love my Giulia. It gets driven hard. Has been rock solid dependable. Strangely, as it is getting some age on it, you can see and appreciate the quality as it’s wearing very gently the leather is extremely high quality as well. The older it gets the more you see it is not cheap. I just can’t decide whether to sell my 2019 for a new one or just keep the old one. The motor, trans, and chassis are all perfect as the day I bought it.
I’d have a Alfa Romeo any day of the week!

Thank you for a honest video. Ps. My father as a Stelvio with the ZF8, but I still prefer the manual in my Giulia.
I have a 2022 Giulia and I can’t believe how well it drives
The only reason that I won't buy it instantly is the lack of a sportswagon version, still enjoying my 159 every day and despite all the Alfa Romeo haters nagging about reliability, it's the most reliable car I've ever had.
Been driving my 2018 for 5 years, 42,000 miles, since new, and it’s been great. Mine has the staggered wheel and tire setup which I don’t think is offered anymore.
Just bought a 2019 Veloce - it's magical!! I absolutely love it!
Sadly most of the population act like sheep. This is why you see so many BMWs and Audis.
You should consider a used one with fairly low miles. My second one just turned 50,000 and it's just like the day i bought it.
I've had my 2018 Veloce (with Performance pack) for 2 and a half years now.
12k miles when I bought it, almost onto 50k now. An absolute delight of a car and id 100% agree that its the car you buy if you're a 'driver'.
I can forgive it for the sharp gearshifter, as the paddles do the work 👌
The only thing I wouldn't agree on is the comments on the adaptive dampers; I think they are brilliant.
A great car and feels just as great jumping in it today as it did when I bought it.
Good car and good review.

Giulia is best! I have a 2019 Q4 Sport Ti w/50K trouble free miles. It's the best car I've ever owned!
I had every intention of buying a RS 5 next. After driving BMW, Mercedes & Audi over the years, and a recent drive in a Giulia, my next purchase will be a Giulia. What a ride! I am convinced. Seeing as I would like a SUV, I may just stick with Alfa, too.
It being 7 years old is what makes it interesting as a purchase now versus when it initially debuted.
I owned one and my biggest regret was selling it-nothing beats it- review is so spot on - I am looking to buy another one now - I had a 911 after the Alfa a 2020 911 and the handling wasn’t a patch on the Alfa- so supple and lithe and classy -
Best saloon, and only silly people care about tech that you get bored of after a month.
I have owned a 2018qv for 4 years now with no issues! Never been stranded on the road, not even once.
I have a Giulia 2.0T and before that an 159TI. Beautiful, reliable and true drivers cars. Love them.
The Giulia is the best in its segment,

"Why so underrated?" May because some people used to say "Not as Good as its German Rivals"
Alfa can do anything better, but lot of journalists still uses their same false cliches: "Alfas aren't a Reliable Cars" etc.
Truly a beautiful car.
Drove a Giulia for a couple of months and agree, the suspension confused us all. Couldn't believe it was passive.

The Alfa Giulia is amazing, had one recently, what a great car…
Alfas are always lovable. Great review 👍🏼

I had the 156 veloce , interestingly it had no badge to say it was the Veloce, but you could tell it was.
Had a Q4 (AWD) Giulia with adaptive dampers and it handle almost like a mid engine car. It would rotate out of corners just like a sports car.
I drive a 2017 Giulia. Going to replace it next year... with another Giulia. Best car I've ever owned.
Have a stelvio, its brilliant
First time seeing this young guy do a review, fantastic job
I really wanted to love the Giulia, but the engine is the most important aspect of a car for me. Its just such a shame the Veloce is has a four cylinder up front and Alfa never made a halfway house between that and the Quad. There is a 230bhp shaped hole in between the two, more than enough room for a nice 6 cylinder with ~350bhp.
Exactly. They missed the chance to rival the M340i, S4 and C43
agree, but even this 4-cyl after a bit of good remapping pushes out 300-310hp which, weighing less, holds up or betters S4 or C43. if you go with hybrid turbo you get to 350-370hp. M340 is out of reach. but QV destroyes them all, including M3, C63 or RS4.
@@cyclops1337 Destroys the F80 or G80 M3?
