Wow, I can't believe you did that all in one day! At 65, I can't work at the speed I used to outside, LOL! I love the hosta going all the way around the magnolia, and the boxwood, very pretty. I think your idea of the Annabelle hydrangea would look beautiful. Happy gardening! 🌷🪴🌷
Thank you Debbie! I felt it the next day that’s for sure! It is definitely my happy place though so the discomfort was worth it haha. Have a great rest of your week!
I just found your channel today. Have been enjoying your videos. Can’t wait to go plant shopping with you and see where you put your new plants. I love this time of year. It is so fun. A lot of work but so pretty when we are done.
I’m so glad you found me and are enjoying my videos! So happy to have you here! I hope to get out plant shopping soon and bring you along. I hope you are enjoying some time in your garden also!
Thank you! Haha yes I have tried! My husband always tries to teach me to do it but I haven’t been able to get the right momentum lol. Especially in the harder soils. I will keep working on it!😊
New subsscriber here. So fun to re-do a bed! This is the best time of the year! I like your idea of letting the boxwood get established before you get rid of the Nandina. Would you consider replacing your heuchera with another color? They just blend in with the mulch and are not even visible. I think that I heard something about the Proven Winners people developing an Annabelle with stronger stems.
Thanks so much for subscribing! Welcome! Yes I have considered replacing the heuchera, they were much bigger last year so I am disappointed how they ended up coming back this year. The front area is definitely a slow work in progress😊! I think you might be referring to the incrediball hydrangea? I have several and am considering those for the front. I just know the Annabelle’s tolerate a good amount of shade which this porch area gets. I’ll likely go back and forth all winter long with what I want to do lol.
Thank you! Yes I have gone round and round about so many possibilities. I ultimately landed on wanting some kind of low lying plant that could get stepped on because I like the idea of there being something green/evergreen there😊
Looks really nice, your vision for the front will be beautiful when it all comes together. Wondered if you've been to Grier's yet, I can't find the pink cashmere verbena down here.
Thank you Wende! I have not been to Griers yet this season. They typically don’t carry many proven winners annuals unfortunately. I am headed to Lancaster, PA next week to hit some greenhouses! Have you tried Maryland Flower & Foliage in White Marsh? I haven’t been yet but it looks like they carry a lot of proven winners and have good prices. I think cash only FYI. I’m also dying to go to the Perennial Farm in Glen Arm, MD. They are wholesale but open on Saturdays to the public.
@@onegardenatathyme I haven't been up to visit since before Christmas. Woke up early Christmas morning with vertigo, been feeling bad ever since. I'll make a note of the place in White Marsh, I go thru there to Kingsville. I hope one day I can go to Lancaster, my Grandson moved there last June, still haven't been to visit him either.
I’m so sorry you haven’t been feeling yourself! I will pray you get back to full health soon! I hope you can get to Lancaster to visit your grandson soon as well!

Oh Devon, if only I were there when you were taking out the hostas!!! I would ask for a clump!! ❤
I would have gladly shared😊! I did end up keeping most of them, I moved a bunch to the back. I think I gave away 3 bags.
TY for sharing your blessings big hugs from Coco 🌺
Thank you for watching! Have a great day!😊
It looks really nice -- enjoyed the video.
Thank you!🌸😊
Everything looks pretty! Keep the hostas and they look beautiful in containers as well 😊
Thank you! Funny thing I did end up keeping most of them! I think I gave away 4 bags. And I did put one in a pot too haha.
I'm impressed! You got so much work done! Looking very good!
Thank you Patti! Have a great day!

I have been doing winter cleaning right now. I have some bare root plants to get in the ground soon. Love watching them grow.
Nice work! My mom taught me to just stand on the shovel and let your weight do the work instead of jamming your joints when digging.💜
Yes, that old people wisdom! I felt so bad for her knees and hip! ❤

@@onegardenatathymeYes! I broke my foot shoveling…not fun.
Oh no that’s awful!

Have you thought about adding pavers where the Liriope was added being that you guys walk in that area? Pretty garden.

Thank you, I appreciate that.!
If that area doesn’t get full sun the daffodils would never flower. They need sun, sun and more sun.
It does get part shade so I do think they just didn’t get enough sun there
