@@therealzimm to get back to main screen hold player 1 for 5-10 seconds. you can do this if you are playing a game and say you have a bad start and want to restart quickly.

You are right about holding down the buttons to either return to the main menu or reset the current game. That is my number one issue. I want them to leverage the Live button to bring up the prompt to leave the game, which also pauses your current game, like other cabinets. Sometimes you gotta take a leak! I mean come on, we are all getting older!
I just wish they made full size. If actually buy them. Even if it’s just full height, with the same width. But at 6ft tall, I’m not wasting my money to hunch over for hours
I’m not as tall as you, but I can appreciate that. I got a riser booster for my Big Blue cabinet - and it already included a riser. BuyStuffArcade sells them.

It’s a great cabinet. My only complaint is that you can’t pause it. I can see them doing an XL version, although nothing has been confirmed. If you are looking for an XL version and can wait a few months, then I would. I’d be shocked if they don’t release and XL version in 2024.
Out of all the deluxe models this Class of 81 is one of the better looking cabs along with the MKII. On some of the other deluxe models the artwork looks off making the cab look too skinny imo. Cool pickup
I’m really glad that I got it. I’ve done a lot of cosmetic upgrades to my cabinets, but the only one I have planned for this is the coin door lights. If you like the games list, I think that you’ll enjoy it. I’m surprised this version is less than last year’s version.
Thanks Jester! I love it. I played a lot of Galaxian last night…boy am I bad. I should do a formal review, but these are my negatives, none of which should prevent a purchase: 1. Controls aren’t the best. The ball top unscrews a lot. I’d open up the control panel and tighten it before play. If you plan to swap out joysticks or buttons, I’d probably do so before assembly. 2. No pause button. This is my biggest gripe. The Live button does nothing during gameplay. IMO, it should pause and bring up the “Leave Game” prompt. 3. The sound is way too loud, even on the lowest settings. This needs to get updated. Again, I love the machine and totally recommend it! The overall look and feel is quite impressive.
@therealzimm Thanks for listing the negatives. The ball is a pretty easy fix. Some people put LocTite on. But I usually put one wrap of plumbers Teflon tape around the threads. It holds it incredibly well, and if in the future you need to remove it, you can. The others would seem to be a bit annoying, but like you said, don't think they are total deal breakers. Great job, buddy. I look forward to some more gameplay from it.

The deluxe class of 81 cabinet looks really good, like the other deluxe cabs! My only problem is the fact they miscolored Ms. Pac-Man's bow near the player 1 button.
How do you exit a game to get to a different one? Do you have to turn it off and on every time? Also how do you see local leaderboards. Not that interested in online.
To exit a game, hold down the Player 1 button for 5 seconds. This also saves the high score. To reset a game, hold down the Player 2 button for 5 seconds. Local leaderboards are viewable in the game itself whereas online leaderboards are viewable from the game selection screen.
No ghosts on the left side I own the arcade machine 25 inch monitor I know how Ms Pac-Man plays and sounds like I think I’ll pass on this one and get the Pac-Man or Ms Pac-Man instead the artwork is just isn’t right you don’t get the correct sound of Ms Pac-Man how it sounds in the original Ms Pac-Man Galaga even if you hack it to your PC you can’t get the same sound
@@therealzimm if you owned the real arcade machine you would feel the same way I feel being cheated you must of never played on the Ms Pac-Man Galaga arcade machine once they costed $1.00 to start very expensive the cheapest was 50 cents then you can continue when you lose all your lives it’s not game over until you want it to be game over another feature that makes it very special it’s one of a kind you can play Pac-Man as a bonus now what makes this a Ms Pac-Man Galaga if you can’t play Pac-Man arcade 1 up if messing with everyone maybe in a few years they will release the original Ms Pac-Man Galaga 20th anniversary

I love the look, particularly the angle of the screen because it looks authentic, but that’s just me. While I feel like it took me longer to put together, I like the new two piece top/bottom design. It’s probably the same material but feels more stable to me.
I didn’t have other versions and I’m not an expert, but at times it did feel like there was a slight input delay, but that could be me. I’m loving it though.

So we put a small sandbag weight (like for an EZ up) in the base…makes it more stable

No. The screen is a BOE. It doesn’t have washout.
Does it have Ethernet or is the network connectivity via Wi-Fi only?
Only Wi-Fi. I opened up the back of the cab to check. I’m going to post another video in second.
