I really hope you do more voiceover work in my opinion it was very informative about the bike and definitely added to the video. That is a beautiful bike I really like it definitely worth the price
Nice video, thanks👍 Yes these old type 247 airhead BMW boxers, are anong the most reliable bikes ever build! Since 1978 drive ny own 900cc R90S. Never, ever let me down. 200.000 kilometers on the clock! Without any bigger repairs, only regulary and scheduled maintenance. Such iron horse Beemmers deserves a regulary hug, though:-) Ride safe 👍 and all the best! Thomas, Denmark.
Always love those bikes because it's like they shoved a twin cylinder airplane engine in a motorcycle frame I love the looks of the jugs hanging out the side I don't know how comfortable it would be to ride personally I feel like I'd burn the hell out of my legs on the heads but definitely a gorgeous bike
The toaster tank, only year 1973. Had a 71 R75 for many many years. Great bikes. I drove mine after pulling a valve through one of the cyl heads from York Pa to Hammond In, It never failed me. Sold it when I bought my New 1999 Moto Guzzi Bassa 1100. Wish I had it back. If you didn't already you have to sync the Carbs with a vacuum stick to get the best performance out of them.
Nice boxer twin, always thought they were the smoothest ride. Had a R100RS, long time ago, was a pleasure to ride. Sure, my buddies with 4 cyl, could get ya outta the hole, but you'd blow by on the mid & upper end, lol! Met A grandpa that rode an R100RTback in the early 80's, that had well over 250k riding coast to coast visiting kids & grandkids, other than maintenance & tires, his only issue was a shaft seal that had leaked A little... Definitely enjoy the commentary, info & history, enjoy that classic for decades to come! Thanx !
Don't change anything Ike, just look after it and you will not regret owning it. I love the power delivery of the boxer engine, effortless. Good find at $2300
Sweet bile Ike, it's in great shape obviously kept in a garage, I remember as a kid seeing these around during the 70's here at home and the shaft drive on BMW bikes have been known to last well over 100k when you take care of them with regular maintenance and don't ride the crap out of them, this was shared with us by a neighbour who owned several of these BMW's until he gave up his bike license at the age of 86 years old, he road bike during WW2 as a courier which was always a wild ride, I had an uncle who did the same 👍Oh ya i am definitely jealous of your weather, here in Winnipeg it is warmer than usual 30 degrees now, it'll be 8 weeks before we see any blossoms on our trees
Beautiful Bike! they say riding a Motorcycle is like an art Something you do because you feel something inside. thanks for sharing... watching here from the Philippines.
I'm so glad that you started talking over the video Isaac because looking at the just the front wheel and hearing wind noise wasn't that good. Anyway it's another avenue for you to explore and I wouldn't mind seeing something more of this ilk buddy. I hope things are looking up for you and of course you are in my thoughts. Take care dude. ✌️👍🇬🇧
I've had the same model for over a decade and I'll never get rid of it. Such a great bike! Btw, you can tell if it's long wheel base if there's a 1-2 inch collar welded into the swing arm. Looks like someone cut it and welded on an extension. LWB is a much smoother ride but the SWB model is a little more fun in the twisties.
Excellent video Issac :) also this bike doing well for sure and more information about the bike be great to hear about! Think you did excellent job for price and light TLC to it get going too! Like mellow sounds on video too and keep in tip top shape too!
That's a cool old bike. Nice you could revive it. I am super jelly of your weather. We just got dumped on with snow in Southern Wisconsin. I'm itching to get my bike out.
Glad to see you got a BMW i had the rs1000 touring bike and i put a lot of 4 cylinder rice burners to shame with full saddle bags and trunk. And i am sure you know what BMW stands for Best Motorcycle in the World...
Great bike man, such a cool choice keeping it stock, thanks for showing us. When you get a chance, compare legitimately advertised motorcycle gloves to the Mechanix mpact gloves . I do have moto gloves but usually wear mpacts.
nice bike, i wouldnt mind finding something like that and fixing it up to ride. pretty cool. hope you bring more motorcycles to your content in the future.
Well, if you like to tinker with bikes, you've got the right one. The carbs always need a little more attention, the ignition could always be looked after, and valves could be a little tighter or looser. Maybe that's just me. I think BMW built that clunk into the first gearbox and never changed it. Every one I've ever had has been that way. Makes you be deliberate in your gear changes and contributes to the overall nature of the bike. I love airheads, however, and I'll own mine (77 R100/7) until I pass it on to my Grandson.
I owned a BMW K100 which i enjoyed very much. But then i did a test ride on an R80RT , similar aircooled boxer bike. I cleanly remember how leight that bike felt after stepping off the K100. Sadly those aircooled BMW's are getting more pricey as the years pass. Out of reach for many people. I would love to own an R80GS (offroad/allroad version)
I'm not familiar with BMW bikes, but I agree that this one is a real looker. The gas tank is my favorite piece. They just don't make stuff that looks like that anymore. The engine is fascinating....a big chunk of metal with a couple cylinders hanging off of it. Looks like it moves out pretty good. 4.7 gallons and that big ol' engine....what's the machine weigh?? Too big for my small frame, but I'll bet it rides good. Nice work!
i just started hanging with some people the call themselves the TEXAS Tidlers. just a group of small bike riders mostly 300 CC and smaller. and old bikes. but there is one guy that i think is restoring that same bike. it looks just like it. and i think it might be the same year. but they are growing and the way you and the rest of the crew likes to ride small bikes also maybe you would want to look into it. and i think in the next few years. they may expand towards the east coast.
What a BEAutiful bike. It's a keeper for sure.Total clean and detail with waxing then just enjoy it.I'd find a period correct short windshield just for the bugs, and highway buffeting on long trip. But that's just me I guess.(my bud took his on his 1st highway trip of 200-ish miles and swore he wouldn't again because of the wind, but loved it around town and short excursions)
It's so hilarious how that bike sounds so much like a 2CV when riding, granted it's cos both are aircooled twins, but it still amuses me (I'm a simple fella!)... :P (Though fun-fact, pre-WWII when the 2CV was in prototyping stages, they used watercooled bmw bike engines in their TPV test platforms, and post-WWII, Citroen developed their own engine loosely based on the air-cooled bmw bike engines)
No it's called compression and no compression release. Gotta b smarter than the actual motor is all. If was overly advanced would hear it under a load when riding it.
That is a sweet bike, your doing the right thing just leaving it as is. While your in the European bike mood will you be looking at the Triumph any time soon?
I have a 1974ish powerdyne motorcycle they say that only maybe 300 were made it would be great if you could do something with it on cars and cameras I would donate it to the show

Had a 1974 R75/6,best bike I ever had.Should never had sold it.
Nice old ride. Lot's of fun riding an older bike. People always want to know about them. 🤟😎
Love seeing yall get old stuff back on the road. Gives me hope on all my projects
Nice boxer twin, always thought they were the smoothest ride. Had a R100RS, long time ago, was a pleasure to ride. Glad you have an Airhead! had a R90/6 for about 19 years. Great bikes. They love to be ridden many miles.
Super nice scoot. Great runners. And last forever. Making bunch ride videos for my channel this year. Keep up the great work
Thats a sharp unit. Nothing beats the open road on or in a classic ride, nice work
Don't change anything Ike, just look after it and you will not regret owning it. I love the power delivery of the boxer engine, effortless. Good find at $2300
Glove up Buttercup..

One thing about the old airheads is once you adapt to the them you will enjoy that bike more than any other bike.
Man that bike sounds like it rolled off the factory floor. And looks super clean.
Thanks for sharing, being a fellow rider I diggit ☮️
Loved the video, it was so good to hear the history of the bike and what you though and that you wanted this model bike.
Ike, I really liked the narration! Just what I was hoping you would do with this one! Super interesting!
I'm so glad that you started talking over the video Isaac because looking at the just the front wheel and hearing wind noise wasn't that good. Yea Boy what a Good Looking Bike!
Sweet bike! Great job on the edit and walk around at the end. ✨✅✨
I've wanted one since I was stationed in Germany 1990. Nice find.
Another great video Ike 👍. Brings back memories for this Old Man. Hope to see some day. 🛵🧔💝
That’s a very nice BMW motorcycle, Isaac. I liked the commentary. Have a great weekend.

Love the airheads, sir
definitely a sweet bike
Great classic bike. Just don't see them much anymore. Thanks for the videos! 👍👍
The bike is beautiful and I love the voice over I could hear everything you were saying it was good. good 😊 luck with the bike Isaac
Excellent video Issac :) also this bike doing well for sure and more information about the bike be great to hear about! Think you did excellent job for price and light TLC to it get going too! Like mellow sounds on video too and keep in tip top shape too!
Yeah man, cool commentary of info on this really nice bike, Isaac!
That's a cool old bike. Nice you could revive it. I am super jelly of your weather. We just got dumped on with snow in Southern Wisconsin. I'm itching to get my bike out.

She polished up real nice!
I like the voice over commentary. Keep up the good work!
I love these old BMW motorcycles. It cleaned up nice. 👍
Guess which muppet burnt her leg on the exhaust first time she rode pillion- that'll be me! Never did it again though 😜. Liked the commentary Ike..
A lot of class in that bike.
Sexy bike! The commentary was important for the back story on it. Love the green too
a dream bike for me,very nice.
Nice score, Isaac! I like the color, too; my '00 F150 is Amazon Green Metallic. :)
Really cool bike I like it. Great video ike. I prefer these older bmw motorcycles vs the new ones
Love bmw bikes. I’ve had a r1150r and currently have a r1200rt
So jealous lol. I love those older bikes.

Nice bike glad to see part too of this bike . Oh nice music 🎶 felt like I was in B M W comurshall 😁
Looking Good Isaac !!!
Brilliant bike, and a reasonable price imho. Just enjoy it.
Great content and love the format
Nice that you gave the info on the bike.
Bike is looking great Ike.
great stuff thanks
I have admired the opposed cylender BMW for years but never had one. My favorite bike was a 1975 Honda 400 Supersport.
That seat looks so good no wonder you don't want to break that leather
Saddle soap works great on a motorcycle seat. Softens the material

Nice bike brother!! Luv the green.
Great bike great video..
Thoughts are with u Ike. Oregon awaits a visit
I like the curves/twisties too - mostly in 4 wheel vehicles but still fun
That's a sweet looking bike

It weighs about 450ish
Allsome stuff bud😊👍🦇🎉🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Loved the commentary

Man those mirrors are rock steady. Every bike I've ever rode the mirrors shake at least a little

Looks great!
I enjoyed the commentary 👌 nice job
That's a cool motorcycle! I liked the stats you gave about the bikes also!
Love that bike
Commentary is great
I liked this video and it would be cool to see you do that with your Harley.
love the commentary
Love taking a ride with ya!
Love my R100 Cafe racer.
Like the green paint
Beautiful bike man! I hope to one day get my dad's 77 Honda cb550 4k going again hard to find parts for the old bikes
Clear visors and shades.. so American.
The commentary was great
Ike, maybe the kickback on starting are stuck mechanical advance weights!
He should for sure check the points gap and the advance mechanism.
Nice bike!
I cant wait another month to go by to get the KLR out.-19c here today no riding yet.
Sweet. I'm jealous.
Watched the video, yes Toaster Tank.
Coll bike I'm sure there are not alot of those still out there.
If it has points the timing might be too far advanced. That’s why it kicks back when kick starting
No it's called compression and no compression release. Gotta b smarter than the actual motor is all. If was overly advanced would hear it under a load when riding it.
I had a 1973 DT360 that kicked back until I got the timing right.
A motorcycle for those who ride for the joy of riding, not racing, stunting or bar hopping. Fill it up, check the oil, put on your gear and just ride!
That is a sweet bike, your doing the right thing just leaving it as is.
While your in the European bike mood will you be looking at the Triumph any time soon?
I need too
You may wanna check your timing, I’d say that’s where the kickback is coming from.
Sweet bike! Now let's do something with that zippy Chevette.
after the first time you go down without gear on, you will never ride without gear again. ATGATT. Nice toaster
After he flipped a lawnmower at 80mph he did start wearing gear
Oooooooooooh yes you will
Let the man ride his own ride and you ride yours.
I have a 1974ish powerdyne motorcycle they say that only maybe 300 were made it would be great if you could do something with it on cars and cameras I would donate it to the show
As for the crispy seat use either mink oil or pork belly grease.
lucky dog!!!
Looks like the same buddy that helped repair your roof last year.
It was
