I got a dark theory: The writers made season 1 & 2 with the intention of each episode being disconnected and no true deep meaning. After the series blew up and people expected some genius subplot to emerge, the writers became desperate to come up with something to satisfy the audience, which is why season 3 and 4 have taken so long to produce (and why the writers had disagreements) even though it wasnt supposed to be taken so seriously. None of the episodes actually mean anything, which is paradoxically ricks point.
In my opinion it has made the show not as good. Seasons 1 and 2 are a lot funnier and way less cynical compared to Seasons 3 and 4. I think the show being so cynical now makes it not as funny.
That's obviously not true since we've had serialization from the start if you only just pay attention.
@@soundred1254 season 3 I can see why you would call it cynical. Personally it's my all time favourite season. I love the layers of criticism it has from society to politics to economics. I also find them better made episodes. I can only really think of 2 or 4 episodes from season 1 and about half of season 2, but I only skip 1 episode from season 3 and 4. I dont think 4 was well done but it is extremely far from cynical. If anything I find nearly every episode has some kind of positive twist to the characters in season 4. Like it is far from cynical or dark.
Then again my favourite episode of Rick and Morty was the one with Mr. Meeseeks and it was for the Rick and Morty A plot and how it was the first episode that actually established an emotional bond from Rick to Morty. So the fact that season 3 was almost entirely focused on relationships and character growth on top of intelligent commentary got me pinging it as my favourite season. It always gets me how this fanbase used to be all "You can only get Rick and Morty if you're smart" but when the show actually does smart, they complain it isnt funny anymore.
I have one too I belive the Beth that stayed is not the clone because she said she's the clone cz she loves Jerry but that's not her Jerry

Morty IS Rick. Considering how dumb the Morty we follow was to start with and how intelligent he's become now he's slowly becoming like Rick. If Rick doesn't care about Morty why does he drag him around all the time? The cloaking may be a timed perk.
Rick's original Morty (Evil Morty) has been forced to become as intelligent as he is before his time due to being abandoned by Rick. Wait for the reveal.

Here is a theory with evidence, that the president morty is also evil morty, In the end scenes episode, The Ricklantas Mixup, you can see all the dead bodies in space but you can see that the assassin's documents spill out on camera and if you pause it you can see that president morty is evil morty. Also, at the end of the Close Rick-Counters of the Rick Kind episode, you can hear the same music playing which must be a hint linking those two together by the producers of the series.
Like in Fallout 4, "Father" the leader of the institute really isn't your son because Kellog (the kidnapper) never aged and the leader, "Father" really was manipulating you to join him. And your son is still out there in the commonwealth.

Agreed! And the reason why Rick is constantly swigging from his flask, is because he's an Alcoholic (or he just prefers a numb mind to a lucid one). In the last Episode of Season Two, when he gets shot in his liver, he points out that it's the hardest working liver in the galaxy.
Also when the seeds dissolve they ruin your limbs and if he was regularly having those seeds, we wouldnt be able to talk or walk
Moreover the seeds are in another planet of a distant galaxy.. a normal ruck would never reach there
I have my own theory on Evil Morty. He is NOT the original Morty from C-137. If there are infinite realities, there has to be one where Morty is the evil genius and Rick is the bumbling sidekick. How else do you explain Slow Rick- er I mean Tall Morty in The Ricklantis Mixup (AKA Tales from the Citadel)?

I was thinking those may be 'golden memories' good memories where maybe rick and morty actually bonded or had an experience which morty actually understood or identified with his grandfather or was shown that rick really cared about him or the family which would improve their relationship and bring them closer. However ricks fear of intimacy abd of being too close to anyone and his uncomfortableness or inability to be too close in a positive way with anyone and his desire to remain unattached aloof and his nihilistic world view caused him to erase those memories. I feel like that is actually the darkest thing they could be. But thats just my theory and i try not to think too closely about rick and morty for fear of falling into existential dread.

I was thinking the golden ones where ones that rick took from him self.
Some theories of what they could be and why he would take his own memories away :
1. He abandoned original morty or “evil morty” on the planet where the huge frogs attack Morty. As we see in the opening scenes rick leaves morty and the frogs are about to eat morty then it cuts to black. That’s why evil morty is so mad because he left him to die. Rick thought he was dead but he ended up surviving.
2. It is the real formula of the portal gun. He takes it out his memory so that his enemies can not get it. That is the reason why he was able to create a false memory in the episode where they went into his mind. The reason he was able to create a false memory is because there is nothing there.
3.he took the memory away when he first broke the fourth wall and realized he was a character in a tv show.
I honestly could go on for at least another 10 theories but I would like to hear what others think , if the original theory of the golden ones are memories he took from him self is true.
What if Morty get all his his memories back and becomes like rick

None of these are theories, they are things that they actually mentioned / showed in the show
One thing they didn't mention, that I've noticed no one talks about, is that in the episodes straightly following the one where Jerry is switched, he uses different "cool" phrases and everyone is surprised that he uses them except for him. I felt like this was a HUGE hint that the Jerry's were switched and the only small difference between them were his cheesy lame catch phrases.

I was wondering something while watching the episode where Rick makes Morty a "love potion" to take to the dance: Rick tells Morty that the potion won't work on anyone 'genetically related' to him. So, I assume that ALL versions of Morty (ones from other dimensions) are ALL 'genetically related' to ALL Ricks...right?

Your theory is moot because none of them are Rick's original family. Remember that Rick cronenberged the entire world. the other issue is that we never know which Rick we're dealing with. Maybe every episode is a different Rick from a different reality.

The Beth is a Clone just was mentioned in the Season 4 finale. I think that episode is really dark in the sense for that. Even rick doesn't even know which is the clone.

Regarding the kill helmet, I was listening to the commentary from the Season 3 BD/DVD. Dan Harmon would like it to not only kill our Rick, but all versions of Rick in all realities, which is why it's taking him so long to build and complete it. I'm sure they have tons of ideas of what they could do with things, and it's just a matter of if/when they want to make it canon.

Anyone remember when Tiny Rick was dancing and said “this is not a dance, I’m begging for help I’m screaming for help”. And of course we know what wubbalubbadubdub means, Rick is in a state of near constant suffering, existing for Rick is pretty much a never ending torment. So could it be that even if C-137 Rick commits suicide, it wouldn’t matter because of alternate realities, so he just lives his painful existence out.

The theory regarding beth been a clone was a great theory indeed.
I have a dark theory, once our Rick and Evil Morty clash, Evil Morty will say something along the lines of "I know your secret" (by that he means he knows that he is only smart because of the juice) and before he can say anything else Rick shoots him in the face. Now the shocking thing would be that Evil Morty was in fact his original Morty, the only Morty he truly loved but he still killed him without any second thought because the juice not only makes him a genius but also makes him emotionless.

About the theory of mega seeds, the creators of Rick and Morty confirmed, that Rick is drinking regular vodka from his flask
The All You Monsters theory: The reason Rick can't time travel is because he *did* do that *once* ... when he *was* Morty, sent back in time, who grew old, changed his name and married his own grandmother. Now the loop is closed and everything is pre-determined. Wich is why Rick hates his life, and why the same actor voices both characters.

#7: Rick DID replace another Rick, but as of the S6 finale that Rick is still alive, much to C-137's chagrin
#6: Remains to be seen, but instances where Rick is a bug for a couple minutes tends to prove otherwise
#5: Remains to be seen; there's evidence both ways (both the Baby Morty scenes and Rick's flashbacks about Rick Prime)
