Boxers are the BEST breed!! You will never meet a happier animal than a boxer! My Duke is 13 and still acts like he is 3 or 4 when it comes to eating, taking a walk, or just me coming home! When he wags his tail he uses his whole body!
We lost our Leo a few years back. He was just what we needed as a family. Loved and miss him so much. Haven't enough room in my heart to say goodbye to another one.
Our little rascal Bud-Bud was keeping us company for almost 15 years. We got him as a pup and he never grew up. Kidney beaning, zooming wildly, being all around a loving and loyal goofball and clown! He's irreplaceable and was the absolute best human being on four legs. Still miss him after 4 years and still wait for him to come around the corner, tilt his head as if he wants to say: "Do you have something for me?" They're the absolute best doggies one can have. My hubby joined him 3 months ago at the rainbow bridge and they're surely waiting for me 🙏🙏.
He will be there waiting;)

I had 8 boxers and fostered another dozen from 2001-2021 and can say this is all "normal" everyday boxer behavior. Boxers do not lack for personality! They are fantastic dogs!

I had a Jagger Niche. He had Glaucoma and was very aggressive. So I got him a seeing Eyeball brother. Tulley Rue is a Fawn with the gentle eyes to help. I miss those days. A Choco Loco and a Blonde Prince.

Friends at high school used to say I was weird, it might have been because by that stage the family was on to its third boxer. Didn’t care then don’t care now, still love them as long as they have their tails docked. With docked tails they have symmetry and beauty, with a tail the do not have symmetry and are ugly, I think them most attractive when they are blunt at both ends. Real heartbreakers though with their shorter lifespan but as C S Lewis is supposed to have said “ the pain of tomorrow is part of the love of today”.
