I just started as a medical receptionist also and I love it! I have 23+ years as an office receptionist and I love interacting with people. Love your positive vibes!!
Hey girly I felt you in the part of leaving you alone when you’re tryin to eat and decompress 😭 I’m currently a teacher applying for many receptionist jobs in the medical and dental fields. I’m used to multitasking and paperwork. But these kids got me messed up! My back is burnt out and I’m in pain all the time now I can’t even excercise and gaining weight. I know all jobs aren’t perfect and have a downside, as well I’m sure it’s stressful with paperwork and clients (my parents) but I’m used to that 😭 so I rather just deal with paperwork and patients wish me luck 😭❤️
Be safe. Don't open the back up if you're the only one there. You look very pretty, I am interested in being a Med Receptionist. Thank you for the tour.
Awesome . I start as a Medical Receptionist on the 31st of January. It'll give me experience because I'm in College for Medical Office Administration. Thank you !
I love that I came across your videos. I am currently a online student for my medical administrative associate degree, so its great I can get a look at what ill be doing in 20 months. I have to ask what is that song "hiatus"? I fell in love with it and definitely gotta add it to the playlist.
@@LifeOnATerrace so you don’t have to be certified for this job ? just have much experience as possible? I’m trying to build my skills so i can be a receptionists but i been in customer service for the longest and i don’t know how to get a first job as a receptionist. Can you do a video on how to apply yourself to become a receptionist
Yes ma’am..Also a well written resume. I had a lot of customer service experience and that’s what helped me stand out. Make sure that your resume has a lot of details regarding your customer service experience.
I just started my job as a receptionist at a clinic too. How long did it take you to get familiar with everything? With updating insurances or fixing insurance claims? Scheduling, and whatnot
@@LifeOnATerrace oh ok haha I do, the one thing I love about it is wearing scrubs lol I enjoyed your video btw! There’s not a lot of videos like these for medical reception so I was happy to see one!
I'm sorry for asking this but when you were in training, was your boss okay with you asking questions? Did you feel comfortable asking them? I recently lost my job (in a different line of work) due to my boss not liking that I asked a lot of questions. That being said, she hired me knowing I had zero experience with the job.
Okay so I’m currently studying medical office administration… once I’m certified is this the filed I’ll be going into because when i typed in medical office administration this video popped up lol
@@LifeOnATerrace I had my interview yesterday and was asked to come in person. I don’t think I’m going to try it. The no overtime is a huge deal breaker for me as it’s already minimum wage and rent is not even nearly cheap enough.
I’m looking into what I want to do and at my school they have different programs, medical receptionist was on there and I’m interested in it but I’m still not fully sure about it. Do you think it’s a good job ? Is the pay good? How’s the environment ? Etc. I remember being young and wanting to work at a desk in a doctors office like the women I’d see lol so it feels like maybe I should ? Idk 😭 I need more convincing and input from someone who DOES it
To be honest it’s really up to you. However I think it’s a pretty good job (not a career in my opinion) The pay all depends on your experience and the company. I would advice you to go to a private facility (they pay way more than corporate companies)
