Those enormous fishing hooks you made you shouldn't need a stone tied to the line to hold it down.
    Well done 😊

My first thoughts were those hand made fish hooks were way to big to catch the majority of river fish and the way you threaded the worm's on the hooks made them unattractive as bait. But then I have never seen catfish with such large mouths and you caught a great many of them. So I guess that's why I am amateur and fisherman and you are a professional.
Mind you crosslines like that have been illegal in my country for over 70 years and my father took great pleasure when he found such lines in the rivers and streams in the area where I was raised, he took out his pliers (he was an electrician) and cut them at each source of attachment to the banks.

I hate metric, when the storekeeper weight the fish and the scales said about 7 Kg I said no way. Then I went back to where the fish lay in the basket and estimated their weight the old way in pounds and i worked it out to be about 15 to 16 pounds by the method I was brought up with. yeah I hate metric

Eu odeio essas medidas inglesas: libras, jardas e outras porcarias.
