Nate got the bomb and added a second gem (cannot see most of it grom this angle). Koa got the longer/longest barrel/wave. The others had nice sections. Very difficult conditions but all managed to do what they could. Looks like an absolute circus on the bea h though....

30 second barrels! Over almost 50 years of surfing I wouldn’t have had more than just a few 3 second barrels. Theses days I just get to watch on RUclips.
Dude i remember before any kind of surfline we would go blind to Malibu in the late to early 70's when we rounded to last corner to see the boo if it was pumping the car lit up with hoots. Also surfers coming back on the road would give thumbs up whcih would also create hoots. Go get some Koa woohooo!!!

Il probably get shit for sayin this, but i cant be the only person with similar thoughts.... Yes ,this place is frickin bad ass, super remote location, where the Kalihari Desert meets the sea, way down in Namibia on Southern Africas West coast.... long perfect lefts, hollow as hell, dont see much of the locals, thats good i guess....seem freindly enough.....HOWEVER...i dont know if its the frequent fog, the cold foamy water, the remotness..... i really cant put my finger on it.. but the place just seems or feels a little CREEPY to me...for Crist sakes the name alone can raise a brow.....lol.... plus its Africa.....im joking here...ok.. but i can picture running from lions just to get to the water....once in the water you intantly become shark bait .lol.....just to get out of the water where the local observers are the same lions lickin their chops.lol.. that chased you into the surf earlier.lol.... YES YEs the place is amazing...but im sorry ...best wave on earth ....nahhhhh... i think thats a bit of a srtetch...peace

The wave at 14:00 was over a minute long and probably 80% or more was barrel time... that's just some freaky shit.
It's funny how in comparison I don't even get as excited about waves that are like 40 seconds with 30+ seconds of barrel time, as if that's somehow not in the top .001% of waves anyone will ever get to ride on this planet. Humans are weird. Sometimes I get bummed when I see you disappointed with waves that are better than anything I ever get to surf, but I do sort of understand how that happens. It's very human.

NO it's not the best wave on earth because its in miserable cold water..it a good one for sure but it could never claim the best because of the cold...
