Good go at the Boston accent. You nailed Wahlberg's pronunciations, though not all of us have that 'thick' of an accent. Sometimes it's as simple as putting letters where they shouldn't be (an r at the end of idea) and slang (that's WICKED kewl!) . Some actors I'd recommend checking out include Uzo Aduba, Uma Thurman, Matt Damon, either of the Affleck brothers (a Boston move, promoting hometown boys!), Leonard Nimoy, Mike O'Malley...even Barbara Walters can give you an idea of the more posh side of Bostonian life (mainly Brookline but Cambridge and Newton are posh-Boston adjacent). Films to peruse for cadence options are The Departed ( aka De-pahted), Spotlight, The Fighter (you have your Wahlberg fix but Christian Bale sounds like a native), The Town (more Affleck, but Jeremy Renner brings the magic) and Gone Baby Gone (Amy Adams even tricked Ben Affleck into thinking she was a native). Not trying to put you down; as a librarian, I feel like it;'s my duty to assist in locating resources you can explore for future videos. Please let me know if any of this was helpful. To other Bostonian/New Englanders: Did I miss anything? Add other recommendations as you see fit! As for tingles, any Irish or Scottish dialects give me goosebumps, Mississippi and South African are close behind.
its weird how much asmr is like a drug, we all listen to it to get this effect that makes us feel good and the more you get that effect you kind of build up a tolerance and dont get it as strong or as often.
Your Canadian accent cracked me up. Canada is a bit too big. I've never once heard anyone say "aboot", but I heard some folks talk like this out in Newfoundland and there are some interesting accents in the prairies. Great video! Loved northern Ireland the best. Haha.
i think because a lot of people exaggerate it while describing it you probably expect that it's not there, but even in toronto (i'm from cali) it absolutely catches me off guard with "abote" "melk" "sohrry" and some random words like washroom that we don't use in the US (bathroom or restroom usually)
Listening to her is the best. Just imagine getting yelled by Lauren in every single one of these accents... as calm as this angel looks and sounds, I don’t think I would mind getting yelled at by her. 💙💙
Okay I’ve been watching Outlander recently and omg I DIED when you did the Scottish Highlands and Islands accent. It was amazing and made me laugh so much, just because I’d remember the funny things characters would say. Thank you for another amazing upload!
Your NI accent is great! I’m from Belfast in Northern Ireland, and it’s one of the hardest accents to imitate. We have a unique accent because of the contrast in our enunciation of words - we’re sharp on our consonants and sloppy on our vowels. Any “ing” ending to a word is usually lost because we don’t tend to pronounce the “g”, unless you’re from North Down and you’re really polite of course! You’ve nailed the “up and down” lilting intonation of our speech for sure!
The Colorado accent made me tingle, I liked it the most. I will say that was a great effort on the Boston accent, but it sounded more Minnesotan at times. You nailed how people around here say 'walk' though so there's that. Still love your videos, especially the lighting in this video it reminds me of moonlight.
I'm from Colorado, I've lived there my whole life, and I had no idea we had an accent for the longest time 😂 I feel like this one has a little tinge of those Californian migrants' accent but it was pretty spot on cuz it mostly just sounded normal to me
Nope Nope lol I’m from NOLA and I can say that isn’t true at all XD the New Orleans Metropolitan area has a lot more of a strong somewhat singsongy accent if that makes sense? Especially the older women have this kind of treacly sound to their words...Also the grammar is too proper. We use a lot of slang and cuss words. It’s interesting to see what people from outside of Nola think we sound like though. I think the accent she does is more akin to a Monroe accent (Northern Louisiana) than anything I’ve heard in the city :D (just random info you probably don’t care to know but yeah)
Cool video! This is the first ASMR video that made me pinch myself awake just to hear all the accents. Everytime you speak with a Scottish accent, you remind me very much of Kelly Macdonald.
oooh a video of different scottish accents would be so cool! its one of my favourite accents. The northern irish one was very good, definitely a lot softer than my own derry/belfast hybrid ahaha :)
Wow this is so impressive! You really pick up on subtle differences that make accents so distinct. Amazing work! I've lived in California my entire life. Both Southern California/LA and Northern California/San Francisco areas. You picked up on the valley bits pretty well. Truthfully I wouldn't even know how to describe a California accent to another person. I think most people think their homeland doesn't have an accent. Again, great effort!
Super cute video. Felt like each accent was a different character in a good way 😀 French made me giggle the most. Northern Ireland and the highlands was the most relaxing and warm I found. Being Canadian I laughed lol. The aboot is real but it’s an east coast thing the most. I feel you nailed the Toronto accent. But that’s a bit of guess being from out west lol. And yes everyone finds the Newfie accent funny 😜 Again. Very cute and fun vid 😀
Colorado born and raised, nice job! I studied theatre and film, and took many dialect classes for the stage, so I always like these videos. Keep up the good work, I love your stuff.
You did a pretty good job with the Colorado accent! You even pronounced the state name right, because I can always tell someone out of state when they say Colo-rawd-oh.
Brianna Hardy people from out of state: “it’s coloRODo you say it wrong” people from colorado: “actually it’s coloRADo” it’s really not that hard just pronounce it how it’s spelled 😂
I looved the SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS one! Could you do a video soley in that accent? Maybe a cozy evening in a cottage after a hike in the highlands.. or a HARRY POTTER themed one? 🥰
I’m Canadian and I didn’t know I had an accent, but hearing you speak it I can see how people often think we’re British. My family went to America and everyone thought we were from Britain with our accent. Idk, Americans aren’t the smartest people on the earth.
I especially enjoyed the Scottish, Canadian and Colorado accents. Lovely and wonderfully relaxing for this subscriber currently in pain from an absurd summer cold (air conditioning is not my friend LOL).
I’m sooo impressed with this!!! I’m from Tennessee which is right above Alabama and Mississippi so my accent is kinda close to these. I feel like the accent were a bit more 50s... like how southern people used to talk. Anyway that’s just some insight from a southern gal👏👏😂
flowerchild oh sry i though you were french xD normaly people says that french accent is kind of sexy or whatever but here it was just embarrassing watching her struggling
i'm from canada and i've never heard anyone said aboot but the accent still sounded pretty accurate in my opinion :) also it's super cool that you can speak with so many accents !!
Oh, this is interesting since I am from Nebraska originally, not dissimilar from Colorado. A common thing you hear is "we don't have an accent!" so, buddy, do I have a lot of observations for you from my days pointing out how that is a silly notion to my fellow mid-westerners! You are correct consonant sounds like T at the ends of words are muted. Those words are terminated with something not unlike a glottal stop where the sound comes from closing the throat rather than the tongue pressed to the top of the mouth for the T sound. Some other fun examples of words/phrases where the midwest US accent is really evident is 'iron', which is sometimes pronounced like "i-earn", the word "orange" which is compacted and often pronounced more like "ornj" and the middle a vowel sound is nearly absent. In Colorado / Nebraska when someone uses the contraction "we'll" as in "we'll go to the store later" it is often pronounced as "wool go to the store later". An especially fun one, but less common, is you'll find many people that say "it's just 'acrossed' the street" or "what I've come acrossed" (and edit to add, the muted consonant effect works here too so equally could be "accrosst") instead of 'across'. All in all, pretty good job at doing the accent!
i love how people from colorado and like “i didn’t think we had accents” i’m from california and YES you have accents. i love seeing the california accents cause i’ve never met anyone that sound like that from california
Em Mc I’m American (from AZ where we don’t have any accent) and the guy next to me in class just moved here from Canada. He says “about” like “aboot” and also says “been” like “bean”. It’s really strange to hear for us but I like it 😅
@@laurenlutzel1280 ayyyye im from az too! yeah we deff don't have an accent, like yeah you could guess Im from the US but where in the US? definitely not arizona xD
@@saucecan7631 I think she meant a specific recognizable one, are you telling me you could guess someone was from Arizona? BET because you 100% can't there is no "arizona" accent, not a distinguishable and recognizable one. You can easily guess we are american, but where in america? not a chance.
Lol, I love that you tried a Boston accent. I live about a half hour from the city. It needs some work, but you gave it a good shot. One of the things that really throws off your American accents is when you say 'ehm' in between words, whereas we would say 'uhm'. Doesn't matter what accent you use though. Love all your videos. Keep it up.

oooh a video of different scottish accents would be so cool! its one of my favourite accents. The northern irish one was very good, definitely a lot softer than my own derry/belfast hybrid ahaha :)
Brilliantly Made, Loads of love Lauren...❤❤❤
Wow this is so impressive! You really pick up on subtle differences that make accents so distinct. Amazing work!
I've lived in California my entire life. Both Southern California/LA and Northern California/San Francisco areas. You picked up on the valley bits pretty well. Truthfully I wouldn't even know how to describe a California accent to another person. I think most people think their homeland doesn't have an accent. Again, great effort!
Fantastic job as usual! An accent from a Slavic country would be cool to do for next time :)
I’m from Wisconsin which is in the north of the US and our accent is pretty much Canadian! (except we don’t say “aboot” lol) Great video as always!
I'm from wisco too!! 🧀🧀🧀🧀
Mieke Miller anyone can tell us apart by us just saying bubbler... that’s what it is
Super cute video. Felt like each accent was a different character in a good way 😀
French made me giggle the most. Northern Ireland and the highlands was the most relaxing and warm I found.
Being Canadian I laughed lol. The aboot is real but it’s an east coast thing the most. I feel you nailed the Toronto accent. But that’s a bit of guess being from out west lol. And yes everyone finds the Newfie accent funny 😜
Again. Very cute and fun vid 😀
Colorado born and raised, nice job! I studied theatre and film, and took many dialect classes for the stage, so I always like these videos. Keep up the good work, I love your stuff.
Im a Colorado native. Thank you for pronouncing it correctly
I'm quite curious as to what most seem to mispronounce in "colorado"?
@@jdooms natives pronounce the -ado with an A sound like in the word apple, everyone else pronounces it with the A sound in the word raw.
All of your accents are tingly. I especially love the strong Glasgow accent and slang...gets me every time👄👄👄
And regarding ASMRtists from the California region, Goodnight Moon ASMR (Erin) is from San Diego!
And a very underrated ASMRtist, in my view :)
Underrated as hell
Amen to that
You did a pretty good job with the Colorado accent! You even pronounced the state name right, because I can always tell someone out of state when they say Colo-rawd-oh.
Brianna Hardy people from out of state: “it’s coloRODo you say it wrong”
people from colorado: “actually it’s coloRADo”
it’s really not that hard just pronounce it how it’s spelled 😂
Loved your Mississippi accent its totally accurate for down here!😄
William Frost a lie
I'm from Mississippi. we dont talk like that.
It must be another Mississippi we don’t know about😂
It’s a good first try on the accent though, and some people I know that have a strong accent do. And I’m also from MS.
I looved the SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS one! Could you do a video soley in that accent? Maybe a cozy evening in a cottage after a hike in the highlands.. or a HARRY POTTER themed one? 🥰
Was thinking same thing, such a relaxing accent to listen to
Alabama sounds like the Georgia accents here hhaha. This was awesome 😍😍😍
I'm from Alabama
Going from Glaswegian to suddenly hearing an accent that I hear every single day was a huge surprise, but a very pleasant one!
SouthernASMR is from North Carolina. Mary is awesome! A Savannah,Georgia, accent is really nice, too!
YES I love her and her accent omg
One of few people who actually get the northern Irish right good job
Your Essex accent is much more accurate than mine....and I was born here! haha!
Same lol 😂😂😂
Your accent is pretty great though
I’m Canadian and I didn’t know I had an accent, but hearing you speak it I can see how people often think we’re British. My family went to America and everyone thought we were from Britain with our accent. Idk, Americans aren’t the smartest people on the earth.
Really good accents! Would be great to see you try a Nordic accent (Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish etc.)
As someone from Alabama I can tell you that is a Tennessee accent.
The southern American accents are commonplace here in Virginia and you did well Lauren. Aslo the various parts of the British Isles are great.
I especially enjoyed the Scottish, Canadian and Colorado accents. Lovely and wonderfully relaxing for this subscriber currently in pain from an absurd summer cold (air conditioning is not my friend LOL).
I think any accent you make will make me tingle. Great video. Cheers!👍🍺
I’m sooo impressed with this!!! I’m from Tennessee which is right above Alabama and Mississippi so my accent is kinda close to these. I feel like the accent were a bit more 50s... like how southern people used to talk. Anyway that’s just some insight from a southern gal👏👏😂
I'd love to hear more Californian accents.
Also Midwestern accents. Please
lmao my dad is from Wisconsin and whenever he reads I fall asleep
@@starquill__ I went most of my life thinking it was Wiscounsin
That Chicago, John Mulaney style accent for sure
Your French was on point! Love from France 🇫🇷
the french needs some work lol. but I love your impression/accent videos
Oui elle prononce le R en anglais comme en français alors que c'est pas du tout les mêmes
It was the first one that gave me tingles though ♡
Mathis Madec I’m kinda proud I understood that lol I took french so long ago and only for 2 years
flowerchild oh sry i though you were french xD normaly people says that french accent is kind of sexy or whatever but here it was just embarrassing watching her struggling
lmaoooo 11:07 please make it stop, Idk why she has to make fun of french accent that way when we french people are already ashamed of it xD
i'm from canada and i've never heard anyone said aboot but the accent still sounded pretty accurate in my opinion :)
also it's super cool that you can speak with so many accents !!
OH GOSH I LIVE IN GERMANY AND YESS THE ACCENT IS DEFINITELY THE SAAAMEEE😂😍😂
Geht neh
i’m french and when you started imitating the french accent i started laughing out loud omg i’m dying
I’m Canadian and I just realized...I do say aboot a lot;-;
Bby Lauren “we don’t have any accent”
Me: are you sure about that-
@@saucecan7631 I think she meant a specific recognizable one, are you telling me you could guess someone was from Arizona? BET
because you 100% can't there is no "arizona" accent, not a distinguishable and recognizable one. You can easily guess we are american, but where in america? not a chance.
draconifors XD no, I’m not that good at guessing accents BUT you would just have a American accent :D
~from France 🇫🇷 :)
Keep it up.
When you did the Colorado accent, you sounded A LOT like The Lune Innate
My Rezz Which is kind of hilarious because Lune Innate is from New Jersey, but you're so right!
Your ROI accent sounds very Derry-esque. I love it 😂 great job and thank you so much for the shout out ❤️
You’re welcome mrs 💕
