- The weather in London has been more gloomy than glorious recently, so what can we realistically wear that still gives a nod to summer? Answer: a hint of neon goes a long way to bring us energy, distract us from grizzly grey skies and acknowledge sunnier days on the horizon…

It is the opposite here in Canada, where most of the country is in a heat wave, with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius for the past week. Can you please do a Closet Confessions on what to wear to work under these hot conditions? With climate change, this will be our reality. It won’t be just on our vacations when we have to deal with the heat. Thank you for your constant inspiration! 💛
getting dressed to work nicely is a real challenge. God bless silk
@@SvDu-bb7rhand linen
@@SvDu-bb7rh I was wondering whether silk is cool to wear. I know linen and cotton are and synthetics are awful.
@@notaclue822 I was lucky to find wide-leg silk trousers with work-appropriate blue/navy/white pattern and ordered myself navy and white silk t-shirts. I wouldn’t have anything to wear with such heat. I hate to wear linen and hate to wash cotton )))) Silk is just fab and so easy to care if it’s silk twill (!)
@@notaclue822 I like a good silk blend - I find pure linen to be scratchy & wrinkly, but silk blended with either cotton or viscose/ rayon is the way to go. Not all viscose is created equally, but thin enough synthetics can be good quality if you test them out first (I buy pure tencel/ viscose in prints if they'll be too wrinkled otherwise). I'd avoid ramie cotton if you don't like the rumpled linen look.
Merino wool can also be surprisingly breathable for those in-between days where it's bitterly cold in the morning but then you're desperately peeling off layers from your sweaty commute/ lunchtime.
You bring fun on a miserable day Trinny ❤
I'm obsessed with those shoes, I love them x
❤Trinny outfit YES but the SHOES R FABULOUS! So very TRINNY!❤
Oh I love your laugh, and wit, and knowledge! You’re such an inspiration ❤️ (and hubby is around, ears you laughing and says « c’est Trinny ? » 😂
I will say it again. Love those shoes from the first time I saw them and everyone was laughing
Heat wave here, 36C and getting hotter. Hard to imagine dressing with a jacket and a vest in this weather. Love the shoes.
LOVE these shoes!
Trinny, You inspire me to "go for it". Many times have i seen something in a store and liked it but put it right back because it was too "out there". Now, I realize i too can be "out there" lol might as well let it show 💜
I love the shoes!!!🙋🏼♀️❤❤
I honestly really liked those shoes when you first showed them in your haul (even though everyone else's reaction was schoolgirl snickers lol) - the diagonal straps are flatteringly cut but they're still wide enough to hug your foot.
Are the straps slightly stretchy? I ask because had a similar pair with knitted straps that I wore until the straps bagged out too far to hold my feet securely anymore. ☹️
Enjoy them in the meanwhile, though! IMO the iridescent heel makes them more versatile than a true metallic or neon, since holographics can be dressed down or up for a casual party.
👌🌟
🤩😄
I adored everything until the huge, messy scarf went on (absolutely de trop) - but I love the shoes - they don't make Trinny's feet look wide, not at all - and at least with black trousers, are not too heavy , don't draw the eye, appear comfy, and aren't bloody trainers!
OMG we in Kyiv have 2 straight weeks of +40C
Oh my goodness, I had no idea Kyiv got so hot!! Given the power situation, that’s even more difficult 🥵😢.
@@ysbyttybedbug the power situation is a whole another topic, but yeah, it’s pretty tough
@@SvDu-bb7rh 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😘
Those shoes show your pedicure, not your manicure 😊
Omg and you really have such a need to correct/humiliate people on the internet..?!
Are you aware of your disorder?!
Sham-ing or disrespecting people on internet is neither decency nor intelligence but it could be a me-ntal dis-order.
@@eb6719 How is correcting someone shaming them? They didn't name call or disparage her for an honest mistake - everyone makes them. How can people learn if no one says anything?
Yet, quite frankly, *you're* the one disrespecting people by insinuating they're not only indecent or unintelligent, but that they could also have mental issues (!?) Hypocrisy, much?
@@JBUHJBUH It's a question of upbringing and minimum culture to say such things in private, never in front of other people, and especially not in front of the whole world, that is, over the Internet.
So, why don't you know that?!
Did you crawl out of the cave?!
Did you even have parents?!
Were you raised by humans or animals?!
You see, this is called shaming and your re-education!

Omg - that coat at the end is exactly the same my grandmother was wearing when she dropped down dead.
Cold feet , warm body😅
We lose a lot of heat at our feet & heads - I only bundle up in a hat & boots if it's*really* cold, otherwise leaving my toes undercovered helps to regulate if it's even a *smidge* hot.
TL;DR: It's not seasonally confused to have your feet out if you run hot.
Should have quit after the sequin jacket.
I applaud you T but don’t let it slip that idiots affect you with their comments.
Move to Australia
I hate wearing black and white.I feel like a zebra crossing
