Mentor Pilot is an amazing channel and the airline safety model (public disclosure, frank and specific steps to change, etc.. It’s a useful methodology to address issues.
Transparency and a plan to not repeat those actions really speaks volumes to how committed you are to offering us HONEST gaming news. Mistakes happen and I have a ton of respect for someone/company who takes accountability and seems to genuinely feel remorse and a need to do better.

Checklists are extremely common in medicine too, most significantly in the operating room. Too many cases of tools left in people, wrong limb amputations, etc.
Chad Bellular notices their mistake, immediately takes action to mitigate the spread of stale news, transparently improves internal processes to prevent the same mistake from happening again, and releases a comprehensive update about the whole situation just 2 days later... wow.
Being human is hard. Life is chaotic and sometimes you call a shot on something and it ends up being the wrong one. How you deal with that situation is the true measure of your character.

I’ve heard that some RUclips channels will have a process where the person who publishes a video is expected to sit and watch the comments for 30-45 minutes so that if viewers point out something important in the comments it can be caught ASAP. Not sure if that’s reasonable for your channel, but something to consider.
Have they made any statements regarding if you buy the game direct from them and in future if the resume Steam sales that we can use our existing account in Steam? I know those silly steam achievments don't mean anything but I still like to work on them, it gives me something additional to do in my games that I enjoy.

A proper apology, explanation, and plan to not allow it to happen in the future as well as additional explanation? What blasphemy is this? Where is my ukulele? Where is my partial denial while acknowledging you're listening to feedback while not actually admitting any fault or doing anything? (On a more serious note, good video explaining and why).
Close to all youtubers try to hide their mistakes and then they make a fuss about how they messed up without properly showing how they got to that point in the first place.

Even written publications on websites may be 24 hours old at time of release.

The wizard is incredibly hard to play early game and still not viable for solo late game
