I don’t know who needs to hear it, but you’re always better than a shut up proposal. If you have to hint or badger someone to marry you, probably not the person for you. Cut your losses and duck. Nothing wrong with never getting married (19 years and going with my partner), and nothing wrong with wanting to get married. But you have to both want the same thing or at the very least, you’ll end up resenting each other. He’s a cheater and he should pay just for stringing her along. He had the chance to back out before money was involved and he knew he was wasting her money

These fake stories are really stupid. You don’t see the bride and groom before the ceremony. How did op get to give a toast? Do not go to the one that broke your heart’s wedding. Whatever would be your reason. Go on about your business.

My parents never got married for 13 years because my mom wasn't ready for another marriage yet, so this isn't always the case
