I had the honour of having Phil play in our Beatles band in Aus he was a true professional in every way he is sadly missed. Thankyou Tommy for you incredible music.
If I could play like any player in the world, it would be Tommy but I have seen several videos of Phil that absolutely blow me away. Between them, the talent is off the scale. I wish that I could have seen Phil but maybe some day I’ll get that chance with Tommy. I really dislike hyperbole, but I am comfortable saying that these are two of the greatest.
Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, Joe Pass, Terry Kath, Jerry Reed, are so often left off "greatest" lists but who all deserve mention. The perennial knee-jerk reaction to name Jimi Hendrix as the greatest guitarist is foolish, especially when you've seen Hendrix play un-plugged....w/o effects, he was quite limited, small repertoire.
Missed the chance to see Phil play local where I live in Australia a few months before he passed away and really regret not seeing him play live again for the last time. R.I.P
Bringing back the memory! I feel so fortunate to have seen each of these incredible Brothers perform live once on my lifetime. I am honoured. Thank you for your music, and thank you for Tommy, his family and Friends to put on this heartfelt and remarkable concert. R.I.P Phil Emmanuel
They chose different musical paths ... saying Tommy got "most of the glory" completely disrespects both of these awesome players. Tommy took his music and talent to the world stage and worked damn hard at it. Phil was content to be a player here in Oz without wanting to chase the world stage. Neither - IMO - are better than the other, but both of them are better than anyone else - still just my opinion. They have very different styles, but when they came together to play, it was pure magic and fun for everyone. Also, this is not the place to make that kind of shitty comparison.
Condolences Tommy❣️ RIP Phil
Just beautiful Tommy
what a beautiful tribute to a much loved brother. R.I.P Phil.

Sleep sweetly, old friend.
Tommy, words fail. I lost my brother some years ago, much love
So bloody sad!!!! Phil was a darling - and way too young to leave us. Singing this song as a tribute is a killer - can't stop bawling.
I have never heard this song played like this. With such articulation, and emotion, was in tears at the end. A grand tribute to a blessed love one.
Wow i love you so much Tommy!
Praise the Lord!
Beautiful music from a master. I only saw Phil once in a live situation, but what a player.

Life's unfair. Phil should be here and their duo show should've happened. YOUR MISSED PHIL.
To know the Grace personally is even better!
Tommy does. In his personal way, I guess, but he does.
@@ThefrenchFranz That's what it's all about.
He does!!

Wow. I'm speechless.
Very beautiful
Rest In Peace, Phil. You are still too young to die - but, GOD knows best things we do not understand.
Something about music. It's in the moment, it's real. It reminds us that the moment is only what is real.
RIP Phil

Nice to see Normie Rowe there in the middle. He's lived some tough times, too. Guy's got a huge heart, so does Tommy.

so recognizable, a few notes from the theme from local hero..... Guess Phil was a hero, to me too (Netherlands) so no local hero!
Phil and Tommy both admired Mark. Phil played a lot of Mark's Music

Ok 4 dislikes .....who are you and why
?
The walking dead..
Rip Phil...
Tommy got most of the glory, but I often had the impression that Phil was the better player, as hard as that is to say, much less believe.
