Your family is at such an interesting stage! You have a baby, a toddler, a pre-school-age-r, an elementary school-age-r, a pre-teen and a teenager! It’s so cool to see how you go about accommodating all their different needs and interests at each age.

Man, Chis- I watched your magic tricks practically frame by frame thinking I would see the secret of the tricks- but nothing, I didn't wee anything fishy at all- very impressive! Wait a second, as a type it occurs to me- maybe a few frames were missing? I don't know how else you could have pulled that off without some editing magic- either way- you sure are good!
he has a fake thumb over his thumb where the salt is kept lol, its such a good trick!
I watched them in slow motion and couldn't figure it out either 😂
I spotted the thumb in the last video😂 Now it is a little obvious but still a good trick

I love how you take time to open all the advents one kid at a time. Very sweet that they learn to even appreciate each others gifts.

I've always thought Duncan was a very bright little boy. To see him reading at 4 is wonderful. That's the age I started reading and I had parents who encouraged me, just as you encourage Duncan. I developed a love for reading which is still with me. Duncan will soon be devouring books.

You could have Jacob and the other kids design and 3D print decorative covers that snap onto the shelf brackets. Solves the office furniture vibe and it's a fun/instructive project! You could even make seasonal ones if you want to go all out.
As important as a daily advent calendar seems to be, we ALWAYS end up missing days and catching up, sometimes 4 days! That's just part of how advent calendars work lol, even the simple tiny chocolate ones. I guess one benefit to opening several days at once is when you might get something like a piece of hot wheel track (not today) or a waffle slime mix-in...bonus second day gets u an extra goody.
Love the shelves. Even with basic brackets it's just so nice to see no more spackle patches after all those years! Congrats!

Absolutely loved seeing her wound up in the excited Luke was at advent time. Oh my goodness he is such a sweet little charmer and he seems to be doing so incredible these days. You made Bailey’s recipe for her chicken, cauliflower sound incredibly delicious. Is there any chance I could get you guys to post that or send it to me? I would certainly absolutely love to sample it. I live for myself these days. I love seeing your kids on a regular basis... they are all growing, developing & changing at such a rate that if you blink you may well miss out. Sweet little Teddy is a great example of that. Seems he was just born yet look at him! Still definitely mini Duncan for sure, just darker hair. My grandson was well amazed at your magic tricks.looking forward to next vlog, until then... stay healthy, happy and have fun with the family preparing more for Christmas.

I love that Bailey loves those metal puzzles like I do. By the way, they make Swiss Miss hot chocolate with Lucky Charms Marshmallows. At least you guys are almost done with your Christmas decorating. I haven't even started with mine. I've got to get some good cleaning done first then, got to get furniture switched around BEFORE I can even start decorating. Of course I live in a house of 6 people, not saying that everyone else is going to help with any of it. Just my mom and I.
