Hebrews 6 is for all of us. It is a warning for all who call themselves follower of Christ. Willful sin will lead to death, but a life in the spirit lead to life. Do dont think hebrews 6 isnt for us all, it is..
What most people fail to see in Hebrews is that 1. Hebrews 6 is to the messianic believers who had begun doing animal sacrifices, back to keeping the law. 2. If Hebrews 10 concerning willful sin is NOT to believers, but to those who reject Jesus. Nobody, in the body which is corrupt and sinful, can be perfectly sinless and abstain from even one willful sin.. It is NOT our righteousness , but the righteousness of Jesus imparted to the believer that qualifies and justifies us. Born again believers are saved once, permanently. John 3, 6, 10, 1 Peter 1 confirms eternal security. In 1 John 3 we read that a born again person cannot sin..The new man/spirit is blameless sealed with the Holy Spirit as a guarantee of eternity...
Connected to this is the whole argument about our faith we exercise. Is our faith to believe in Jesus a gift from God or not? Are any of the spiritual gifts we have our own or imparted by the Holy Spirit for us to exercise? Salvation begins with and ends with God and He imparts this as He wills through His Son. All glory goes to Him, our Saviour.
ruclips.net/video/gAY8wLXzLg8/видео.html This video is from a pastor that freed me of all worry. Salvation is a gift, it is NOT worked for. There is nothing we can do for it....we simply have childlike belief in His Word...and God cannot lie. Watch this video brother, and be strong in His grace and love.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV, Jesus Christ is the only way.
That is why we are to fear the Lord! To workout our salvation with fear and trembling! Because you could backslide many times. And God will correct you many times to bring you back to repentance. But if you keep giving in to sinning, and disobedience to the Lord, the time will come when you will not be able to repent any longer! Your heart will grow hard and you will fall away! Proverbs 29:1 He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. The book of Hebrews is not the only warnings about loosing your salvation in scripture. Its all through His word! It is our choice to serve him and allow his Spirit to sanctify us, and to make us into his image. But God has not, and will not take away our freewill! The children of Israel believed when they saw his deliverance from Egypt. They believed when they passed through the Red Sea. They were saved(out of Egypt, but did not see the promised land). But when they were tried in the wilderness they fell away. Why? Because Egypt was still in their hearts! Their disobedience to Gods commandments were accounted as unbelief. Lots wife was saved out of Sodom, but she looked back and lost her salvation, and turned to salt! Here is an example; If a gun was put to your head, and the man said; Give me your wallet or I will kill you! If you truly believed the man, Would you refuse to obey his commands? No! If you believed him, you would do as he says, and give him your wallet, unless you have a death wish! Obedience to God from the heart is true faith. Just as James said; Faith without works is dead. Not the works of the law. In keeping of the rules. But obedience from the heart! In Christs Love!
Thank you for this. As a baby Christian I was so disheartened today as I came upon comments on another Christian video which made it sound like most christians think salvation ends at receiving Jesus and still being okay with sinning. It made me feel like I was actually making unnecessary changes to my life (e.g leaving homosexuality) if all it took was just to except and acknowledge him and be secured salvation. I know I cant work for salvation since it comes from grace but how can I live a life that is not approved of by God and expect grace still do the rest!? I am so confused.
@@redeemed4883 When we first believe the gospel, we are to repent of our sins and trust in Him unto obedience. Walk in the truth that the Holy Spirit teaches you. You are required to seek the Lord whole heartedly. Through prayer and His written word. When He reveals more truth to you, then obey it. He knows right where you are! He will not give you anything that will be to hard for you to walk in. It is a sanctification process we all must go through. And yes sometimes it is very hard to do the right thing. To walk in His truth. But like unrefined gold, we must all be put in the fire and boiled. This is a ongoing process. Each time we endure the heat, more dross comes to the top and is exposed, and is scooped away. God keeps looking at that pot of gold, and keeps reheating it and bringing it to a boil, until He see`s His image in that pot. Until the dross is taken out and we become like Christ! The fire is tribulation and it hurts! But no we can`t walk in sin, when God has showed us it is sin. If you need any help at all or encouagement, just ask! May God Bless and Keep you!
I read some of the things you said and thank you! Big relief I was at a point in my life not to long ago where I would continuously sin not caring abt how God feels and would feel sad after sometimes but I willfully continually kept falling into sin ! I’m going through a similar thing, we have to fight temptation and show God that we want him over our sins. But we need to win the war on the flesh and let go of the past. Keep praying daily and make a full repentance and we will be with our Father. Believe!
The fact that you desire a relationship with Christ proves that the Holy Spirit is working in you! However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them. John 6:37 NLT Satan wants us to be afraid and doubt but Jesus will never reject any who come to Him.
God will not reject a repented heart. That scripture is talking about people who doesnt wont to have anything to do with God their hearts are harden. They seen everything with God and turn their backs on him thats why paul said its impossible for them to turn their heart to God. If you want to come back to God you are not one of them.
The trouble with the presenter's argument is that he gives man's freewill preeminence over the Holy Spirit's ability to keep. Human's are sinners and for the Elect they are kept by the Holy Spirit to the glory of God. So Christians cannot permanently fall away and lose their salvation for salvation belongs to God and he imparts this as He wills. The only way the presenter's argument could be considered valid is if the Christian has autonomy in decision making over God and that is not the case because God is the Sovereign One. Were are free, but God is more free than we are!
Compared to this one passage there are several pages where Jesus says no one will snatch my children from my hand or my father's hand. But I think you need to do is apply the parable sower of the seeds. Jesus explains that the state of faith can fall on Rocky ground or thorny ground or fertile ground. Only the fertile ground where Faith lands, and I'm paraphrasing, will a believer persevere.
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." This is from Hebrews. Even if a Christian can never be pulled out of God's hand if we go on sinning willfully and deny our Lord Jesus, then perhaps being in God's hand may not feel like such a lovely place to be. The Christian who apostasizes will have to give an account of himself to God, and scripture seems to indicate that wicked servants will be punished. Whether that person can then enter into Heaven after being punished, I don't know. God is judge. I wouldn't test Him, though.
I read Hebrews within the context of the Christian church beginning while the Old Testament Temple worship was still possible. The Lord was sifting out the hearts of men. Some would come to Jesus but after a while turn back to the Old Testament way. This is the backslide that Hebrews is talking about, a dramatic sin that breaks relationship with Jesus and condemns the backslider. This overlap between the Old and New Covenants allowed time for many people to transition to Christianity - and many did, but some fell away and went back to the Old Covenant. In AD70 the old Covenant Temple was destroyed and only the New Covenant Temple remains. The Christians heeded Jesus warning and excaped to the hills when they saw the Roman armies surrounding Jerusalem. A great majority of Jews were killed in AD70, Herod's temple was destroyed, much of Jerusalem destroyed also, and Old Covenant worship ended, leaving the way for Christianity to flourish. Much of the New Testament exorts believers to not give up because the end of the old covenant age was near as the Lord bought his Judgement upon those He call the Children of Satan. Interestingly the overlap of old and new covenants was almost 40 years, with 40 being a common Bible period for testing.
I dont believe they were genuine Christians, but im willing to learn and hear other perspectives. If this is the case, please explain John 10: 28-29, Jude 1:24-25, John 3:16, 1 john 2:19 and Roman 8:38-39. Seems to me we have contradictions in bible if you hold to that view, but like i said, im willing to learn and accept the fact that i could be wrong. Thanks
Partaking of the Holy Spirit is an interaction between an individual and God. It is not a religious practice. When the Bible commands us to: 18...be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, (Ephesians 5:18-19) He was not talking about going to religious services and performing rites and rituals
Notice in Hebrews 6:4-6, For it is impossible for one who has tasted of the heavenly gift, eternal life, and have received the Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13, Born of God, if they should fall away to renew them unto repentance. What is repentance for salvation? To go from unbelief, to belief. Metanoia. It is a change of mind, not of action. We believe the gospel and at that moment are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:13-14. Ephesians 4:30. Second Corinthians 9:13. Thank God for His unspeakable GIFT. Romans 6:23. Once you have it, you cannot lose it, because the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE. First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 6:47. What if we lose our faith and do not believe it any more? Second Timothy 2:13. If we believe not, (after we have once believed, John 3:18), He abideth faithful, He cannot deny Himself. Ephesians 4:30. Sealed unto the day of redemption. The rapture of the church. John 3:18. If we keep the faith we will have a reward in heaven. First Corinthians 3:11-15.
These verses are dealing with Hebrews/Jews who may or may not have converted to Christianity who are being pushed by the Jews and the Jewish temple system of blood sacrifices...to GO BACK to that system and leave the truth of Jesus Christ’s blood sacrifice... Being “enlightened” doesn’t necessarily mean a person is born again...it means they have the knowledge revealed to them. They know of Jesus Christ’s blood atonement for sins but are contemplating going back to Jewish traditions. You CANNOT lose your salvation...PERIOD.

NOTHING in ALL of creation can separate us from the LOVE of God nor things in the past or things in the future". In all things we're MORE than OVERCOMERS through CHRIST. Holding every thought into captivity unto the obedience of Christ. How can anyone fall back into the darkness!!!
@Jack of all Trades What if the case is that there is REALLY a war between the spiritual SUPERPOWERS and the MATRIX in which we live is within realm of the enemies of the ALMIGHTY which HE has already judged and sentenced and the ONLY way to redeem and release our souls was to become one of us and die voluntarily and essentially become a human "breaker" to disconnect us from them? "The moment HE died, a great darkness came over the land." In HIS AWESOME kindness and for the sake of JUSTICE and FREEDOM, HE did for us what we couldn't do for ourselves in order to release us from the fate that is due to HIS enemies. "The foolishness of GOD is greater than the wisdom of men."

@@abrahamvazquez5079 He didn't "keep you from falling" then.. He didn't "fully equip you" with all you needed to do God's will. You didn't (or couldn't) "Love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength" because "he who loves Me OBEYS Me" etc, etc.... Our free will NEEDS His GRACE in order to act in line with His WILL and His CAUSE. With an enemy like the one we have He needs to spare NOTHING in order to protect us. He needs to "supply ALL our needs according to His riches in Glory" and a LOT of our needs here depend on the good sense to make the right CHOICES.
I would argue that God is sovereign, and He foreknew all who will be saved. If you fall away you were never truly saved.... Those who went out from among us were never from us(Paraphrase). Now that being said, if you read this and it doesn't convict you of sin you probably are not saved at all. Many will seem saved and even produce fruit, but they lacked true repentance and never truly believed to begin with. They had some warped, false view of the Gospel.... Remember Jesus said "depart from me...... I NEVER knew you", not "I used to know you."
Yes God is sovereign and He chooses, but God also gives us responsibility, or do you think God's commands are to spite the unsaved according to your interpretation of God's sovereignty?
So if I understand you correctly, you're *not* saying that a person who was a believer, then went apostate, has no *opportunity* for repentance, but rather that it is impossible that such a person would even want to repent again? Are there not examples of such people who have claimed faith, then claimed unbelief, then claimed faith once again? How would you handle that?
I believe what he meant by that was that a particular person was a "true apostate," not a temporary back slider who fell into the temptation to fall away temporarily. An actual apostate who has determined that his permanent stance, is rejection of Jesus, may never want to come back. He may be given over to his ways and hardened by his decision so much he would never want to repent again. This is obviously hypothetical, and I'm assuming this is what he means by what he said.
You are sealed until the day of redemption of the purchase possession the moment you believed Ephesians 1:13 you cannot be born and then be unborn and you cannot be unsealed King Solomon apostasized but i guarantee you hes in heaven because even though he worshipped other gods i guarantee you he never denied the true God! @@stanfatou2002 Willfully sinning is an attitude that is reckless and unconcerned about the effect sin has on us and on God. This kind of attitude brings a hardness of heart which you do not have. The very fact that it bothers you shows that the Holy Spirit is with you attempting to save you from whatever sin you have. Sometimes we need help from others to be delivered from sins - like a minister, a fellow member of the Body of Christ or a Christian counselor. Sometimes the very fact that we have been honest breaks the power of sin which thrives in secrecy. I do not see myself as being strong enough to live like Christ. I know that apart from Him I can do nothing. In Romans 7 the person Paul writes about is striving to be free but they keep falling back into the same trap. Nothing changes until he gets desperate enough to look outside himself for the answer. This happened when he cried out "Who will deliver me?" We are made strong when we recognize our weakness.
There is always hope God will never give up on you. I am struggling with deliverance as well but I still thank God and praise him through the good and the bad. What you are going through is spiritual warfare. Also look into the spirit of double mindedness as this is the one of the spirits that could be attacking you and there could be many. The great falling away will be from the Word of God: The Bible. Do you know that there are only two streams of bible translations. The apostate church will/are following the wrong stream. A Catholic based bible translation!! Study as to where the true bible New Testament The Textus Receptus came to be and the original manuscripts that produced it came into being. You will be surprised
you're missing it. the apostacy must happen for Christ's return to come. free will does not exist. what you are teaching is false. you must define words if you want to learn what they meant in the days in which they were spoken. some of those words that are now in print werent spoken at all. like "whosoever" thats nowhere in true scripture... the people who praise you are the unbelievers who think they are believers who will be the 'falling away' faction. even the very elect can be fooled by whats going on. and what is yet to come.
This passage has absolutely nothing to do with salvation. Salvation isn't even mentioned. This is about repentance from dead works, which these Hebrews were actively engaging in. Falling away in this verse is not the same falling away in the greek that was translated as apostasy. The reason it is impossible to renew these Hebrews to repentance is because they were actively crucifying Christ again to themselves and putting Him to open shame. If a man is caught up in an on going adulterous relationship, can he repent while actively engaging in his sinful actions? No. He must first stop. All descriptions in this passage are active present. These to whom this letter is addressed are mixing the new covenant with the old laws of baptisms (ceremonial washings. Not believers baptism), laying on of hands (as per animal sacrifices in Leviticus. Not laying on of hands for the believer) and other rituals. This has nothing to do with losing salvation, which the Bible NEVER teaches. But yes... these are believers.
That's a good teaching, and Hebrews is not a book, it's a letter to the Hebrews. Those ceremonial laws were a precursor to Christ. To a casual like myself I'd think those verses was meaning modern day Pentecost acts, but to the Hebrews it was to the Mosaic law. Yes Christ died for the sins of the world once and for all. No, sinning after salvation doesn't make us crucify Christ again, (that makes no sense) and if we think like that then we stumble into self righteousness and breaking God's first and second command which is sin, and if we think we are without sin then we deceive ourselves and break the ninth commandment and sin. It makes the most sense that Christ died for the sins of the world once and for all, and the law cannot justify us, but only reveal sin to us, where God's grace is more abundant than our sin which the law reveals, we cannot make ourselves righteous before God as God is the one who justifies those that believe in Christ.
Hebrews 6 is for all of us. It is a warning for all who call themselves follower of Christ. Willful sin will lead to death, but a life in the spirit lead to life. Do dont think hebrews 6 isnt for us all, it is..
Yep and so are Matthew 5-7. *trembles*
That's what I did😢😢😢
What most people fail to see in Hebrews is that 1.

This video is from a pastor that freed me of all worry.

It's well known and has been for many decades that Saul DID NOT WRITE Hebrews. Saul was not as educated or eloquent as the author of Hebrews was.
They were all Hebrews at first, read the book of Acts and see when they began to accept Gentiles years later after Peter’s vision in Acts 10. Who do you think was there at the Temple for the Feast of Pentecost in Acts 2??? Read Acts 15:6-22 and Acts 24 vrs 5 and vrs 14.

The only unforgivible sin is not believing in Christ. So, believe in Him and you will be saved.
I’m going through a similar thing, we have to fight temptation and show God that we want him over our sins. But we need to win the war on the flesh and let go of the past. Keep praying daily and make a full repentance and we will be with our Father. Believe!
@@thelastcall633 thank you !
The fact that you desire a relationship with Christ proves that the Holy Spirit is working in you!
However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them. John 6:37 NLT
Satan wants us to be afraid and doubt but Jesus will never reject any who come to Him.
Read James 5:19-20, 2 Peter 2:20-22, and Revelation 3:5
Um, wrong. External forces, true, cannot separate us from, God. But WE can separate ourselves ... OUR rejection of the truth OUR a turning away.
Who are the ones who cannot be snatched away in John 10:28? It's the sheep who listen and follow in the present, not the past
Amen we cannot lose our salvation
What about Hebrews 10:29, when it talks about taking the Blood of the Covenant as something profane. What that means exactly?
Meaning they took it for granted, they didn value it like it should have been valued.
Thanks
Thankyou.
The "falling away" happened around 250 AD. The church today has NOTHING to fall away from !
The son of perdition revealed himself in 250 AD?
They have partaken in the Holy Spirit (like going to church) but not born again themselves (not sealed).
Partaking of the Holy Spirit is an interaction between an individual and God. It is not a religious practice. When the Bible commands us to:
18...be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
(Ephesians 5:18-19)
He was not talking about going to religious services and performing rites and rituals
They were born again.
They were born again. Been partakers of the holy ghost
They Were born again
The church has been apostate since the council of Nicea in the 4th century AD.
Thats when christianity was created
These verses are dealing with Hebrews/Jews who may or may not have converted to Christianity who are being pushed by the Jews and the Jewish temple system of blood sacrifices...to GO BACK to that system and leave the truth of Jesus Christ’s blood sacrifice...
Being “enlightened” doesn’t necessarily mean a person is born again...it means they have the knowledge revealed to them. They know of Jesus Christ’s blood atonement for sins but are contemplating going back to Jewish traditions.
You CANNOT lose your salvation...PERIOD.
So what is impossible to be renewed to?

Is it the church that are limited
Because the church is a building

Now I see a lot of people getting save
Because the internet are reaching a lot of person
We are the church not the building
I was catholic, christened in adulthood, but I felt away. I want to come back, take eucharist can I be restored?
know that falling away from Catholicism is not the same as falling away from God. Yes you can come to Christ.
Come to Jesus and find a bible believing church
Get out of the Catholic church for a start!! and start reading the New Testament of the bible. A good translation though. The MEV is a good one
Find an Orthodox Church

@Jack of all Trades
What if the case is that there is REALLY a war between the spiritual SUPERPOWERS and the MATRIX in which we live is within realm of the enemies of the ALMIGHTY which HE has already judged and sentenced and the ONLY way to redeem and release our souls was to become one of us and die voluntarily and essentially become a human "breaker" to disconnect us from them? "The moment HE died, a great darkness came over the land." In HIS AWESOME kindness and for the sake of JUSTICE and FREEDOM, HE did for us what we couldn't do for ourselves in order to release us from the fate that is due to HIS enemies. Though i think its a good analogy i mysekf dk yet
@@abrahamvazquez5079
He didn't "keep you from falling" then..
Yea but even those He once knew can end up in hell there are some there this very moment who used to know Jesus and were sent to hell
A lot of this went over my head lol. So does this mean "perseverance of the saints" is false??
Yes. Perseverance of the saints is false and Hebrews 6 is one of many passages that undermines it.
Ok,so you CAN lose salvation?
@@stanfatou2002
Willfully sinning is an attitude that is reckless and unconcerned about the effect sin has on us and on God.
Not trying to scare you there is no reason to be scared because all demons have to flee in the name of Jesus but there are some that only come out by fasting and prayer. You will be surprised
you're missing it. the apostacy must happen for Christ's return to come. free will does not exist. what you are teaching is false. you must define words if you want to learn what they meant in the days in which they were spoken. some of those words that are now in print werent spoken at all. like "whosoever" thats nowhere in true scripture... the people who praise you are the unbelievers who think they are believers who will be the 'falling away' faction. even the very elect can be fooled by whats going on. and what is yet to come.

ruclips.net/video/gAY8wLXzLg8/видео.html. Here....feel better.
