they could elaborate rules for trailers: don't ever show scenes of the second half of the movie, focus on initiating tension in case of thrillers, set the trailer scenes mixed etc etc

I like how when he was pretending to have car trouble she still didn't let him in the car and just said I'll get you help. That's what you should do and it's pretty realistic. The typical horror movie would let the guy get in the car lol

A friend highly recommended this film so I watched it. Thank goodness I did not see the trailer first. It reveals too much of the plot, but the movie is a great thrill ride. I've learned the hard way to watch trailers after movies, not before.

This has been one of the best thrillers to come out in a long time. Nowadays thrillers/horror just suck. This was a very simple, yet very ominous keep you on the edge of your seat movie

Great movie! Like everyone says, don't watch the trailer it reveals the plot too much.
That being said, I kind of saw the antagonist as the metaphor of the protagonist's fear. It kept creeping up on her and sometimes she gave in, but in the end..any ways, great movie! If you're contemplating if you should watch or not, recommend!

I know Jules Willcox' Mom & Grandma. They both live in the area & are friends of mine. I still haven't seen the movie yet but plan to. The trailers giving away too much must be a new thing of recent years. The same thing happened with "The Gift" with Jason Bateman. I'm a big Jason fan so saw it anyway but I agree that the important parts should not be shown in a trailer.

I just watched this on Hulu. Great movie! Definitely had my heartrate accelerating. The protagonist is one fierce woman.
I am watching this movie right now. The first 1/4 is really intriguing. I read the comments, and many seem to be very positive, with a some being negative. All I'll say is, when she saw the sliced tire, she should have just hid in the forest not too far from the car, when she saw the lights approaching, if she knew it could be him. He would have no idea where to look to find her in a dark forest. I'll keep watching and update the comment once I am done with the movie😎
I just watched the movie and it was really good ,I really liked the ending, I almost watched the trailer first but I didn't after seeing the comments so there was nothing spoiled
My advice if you want to watch a movie these days then don't watch the whole trailer only a few seconds in the beginning, because these days they can't make trailers apparently

I always find a movie more enjoyable when I haven’t watched the trailer or run review. Sometimes you’re pleasantly surprised more than you would be if you had seen the trailer which nowadays gives everything away.
I went to the drive in to see it! They don't show everything in the trailer like I thought, it was really intense.
Yeah i saw this movie yesterday. Im thinking the same thing about the trailer. It was a nice movie. I would give it 6/10 or maybe 7/10

I feel like this is one of those trailers made of the only exciting moments in the film, and the actual film takes ages to build up.

Not that anyone is really ever ready to be kidnapped, but people need to take responsibility for their personal safety and consider what to do in certain situations. No one traveling alone for such a distance should be unarmed with no sort of physical protection. When she called the police the first time, she was not specific as to where she was, and gave no landmarks. In fact anytime she spoke with anyone, she gave no specifics (breadcrumbs if you will), that could be used to help her be found in the future. Also after the initial shock of the event that's happening to you, one needs to be able to have the mental/emotional wherewithal to figure out what they need to do to get to safety, because unfortunately, sometimes help is not on the way.
So true, and it´s sad that TV show on Animal Planet or Discovery called I shouldn´t be alive - is no longer on -- they would show situations that because people were not prepared, bad things happened to them. Most survived, but in all situations, they underestimated nature and other circumstances. Traveling alone is fine - I backpacked a lot during the '80s and early '90s, but always during the day, on public transportation, and mostly in big cities in the US. When I crossed the country from California to Florida, I did it inside a very comfortable Amtrak train that had a restaurant and a panoramic wagon with lots of glass windows for us to enjoy nature.

This looks to be a wonderful heartwarming movie. Let's make some popcorn and bring granny out of her room for some wholesome family veiwing. It will do her heart some goo!
Really glad I watched this on Hulu without watching this trailer! The film was actually fantastic, but this preview totally spoils the suspense and build up of the film in many regards. It's actually a wonderfully filmed and acted preemptive revenge horror film. It's really too bad so much is given away in this trailer. I'd still highly recommend watching it as you don't get the full picture here.

Love the movie - just watched it on Netflix. But my problem with the movies like this is - if someone is after me and someone else tries to save me, I have an obligation to help the person who is trying to save me. So when her ''Samaritan'' tried to help her and the killer was on top of him - I see that as an opportunity to attack him and save the man who tried to save me and myself. Instead we have those people to scared, to selfish running away like ''it's none of their business that the person who tried to save their life is being murdered...lol I guess I am different - no I am glad I am different ..lol
This was a good film but one aspect that didn't make sense or wasn't realistic is that when the stalker shoots her during the night she's clearly bleeding out but next morning she wakes up as if she was never shot

Let me just say this. Great movie.
I’m a male. Pretty good shape. I can handle mine if it came to be having to protect myself. I have about a million miles on the road commercial transporting. I used to run the i80 Indiana to Utah and let me say this. The roads are very dangerous especially for woman. I’ve heard of a lot of stories. I never left my house with out having my Glock and pepper spray.
One night it was storming. I was driving thru Wyoming which is a very creepy state. I can’t tell you why. But I just get the creeps driving their there. So I was on my 15th hour driving (over the dot limit) 😄 and I just could drive anymore so I got off at a truck parking just off the highway. Nobody was in there but an old beat up van. So as I started to get in my bed I just had a bad feeling about the van. I can’t say why I just did. So as I’m laying down I hear the engine start up and the van parks near me. And the guy gets out. Acting really weird. So I say to my self. F it. I’ll drive another 30 miles and stole at a loves truck stop. So a few years went by and I was driving thru Wyoming again and I stop at a truck stop. I go to the drivers lounge and I see flyers up and picture of that same van warning drivers of that van. Apparently whoever this person was Was robbing truck drivers and he shot and killed one.

After watching that movie. I'm. Speechless.🥶
1. I don't travel long distances alone, especially at night. 2. I would not talk to strangers, especially one that seems to pop up everywhere I go. 3. I would certainly tell my family or friends about the creepy guy. 4. I would never get off my cell phone with my family when creepy guy is around. 5. I don't know what region she's in, but it's a big NO for me to travel on remote routes.
I'm glad I didn't watch this trailer until AFTER I saw the movie, as this would have ruined the suspense for me. Not having any idea of what was going to happen I was riveted until the final frame.

Probably the best thriller in modern times and a future classic!! It was exciting through out the whole movie!! I actually felt real strong anger when I watched this! *THIS* is something I *WILL* watch again!!

Watched this last night. I felt like there could've been more to it. Plus there was hardly any script really haha. Some well done tense moments towards the back end of the film.

This movie was so scary and suspenseful, for the first time in my life I had to stop the movie and read the ending on wikipedia before I could go on. And even then, I had to fast forward through parts because the suspense was just too much. Only after making it to the end was I able to go back and see what I had missed.
