Nice demonstration, quite easy to understand how it works if the hole is at the bottom of the bottle. Would it work if the hole is in the side of the bottle?
All hot tub owners sooner or later will have leaks some of them very difficult to fix, they are a pain and a expensive cost minimun $ 120 plus for the first 1/2 hour. THE HOT TUB INDUSTRY SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS AND TRY TO IMPROVE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.
How long does the seal last? I get an old 2004 hot tub and have modified most of the fittings with new non leaks but now it looks like the leak is up where the filter and strainer basket go and I don't have any way to access it other than to dismantle the entire tub
It tends to be temproary in my experience, and you will end up doing it every month or so - if you can get to it, repair the leak properly with replacing the fittings etc - it is worth the effort - thanks - Andi
You need PVC pipe cement to make the joints, this is not a "sealer" though, it is more of a glue. Around the jets and suction inlets, if you need to seal you can use an epoxy putty. Hope that helps - Andi
Thanks for the comment - it is meant for PVC pipework so not really, I dont think it is right for a lazy spa as you will be looking for more of a "patch" that this kind of a lquid I think. Hope that helps - Andi
No not good for that - if you can see the leak on your liner you can use some form of repair adesive - better than this - this is designed for plumbning leaks - hope that helps - Andi
I have seen others say to bypass pump and filter but your not saying that here . I have a cartridge and you are saying just to remove cartridge but no need to bypass the heater either . My pool filter doesn’t have a bypass . And thats ok ? Thats an expensive heater 😮
Hi There, you should follow the manufacturer's instructions, but yes, 100% remove the filter - going through the heater is fine - hope that helps - Andi
@@Buildahottub I’m curious - why is this product more of a “last resort”? Is there a negative side to the product? Are the chemicals bad for you? Does it damage the spa pump? I only ask because we picked up an old hot tub for free. I replaced the control panel, replaced the pump (blower still works). Sadly, it has a few minor leaks. I tried several different versions on flex seal (spray, putty) and it seems to keep finding its way to leak through the same area (mind you, I completely drain before applying the flex seal)…. So now I feel it will be a huge hassle to try and take apart the area I globbed up with flex seal - and have been debating some sort of leak sealant added to the water - I just don’t understand the negative affects of that route.
@@dirtytacticsgamingofficial3842 - if you have a leak, you should be looking to repair it by cutting out the bad part and replacing it - this product always has mixed reviews from users - some say it worked and did the trick, others say it didnt do anything for them. I am sure the manufacturer would say it is a permanent fix - i'm just not too sure so that is my opinion - hope that helps - Andi
Having to learn all these things; Andy spoke slowly, clearly and the visual was terrific. Subscribed J

Well said! Couldn’t agree more! Thanks for the comment - Andi
Does it gum up the pump, Filter or venturi?

Hi, what sealant do I use when fitting my jets and flitter housings ...

Hello! Would this be recommended for a potential skimmer pool leak?
No, I would try and get to the root cause on a skimmer leak and repair wih epoxy putty rather than this. Hope that helps - Andi

That is what this does, its kind of a last resort to try before you have to dig up your underground lines - hope that helps
