At a moving multi-religious gathering at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, Pope Francis, together with Jewish, Muslim, Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist, Greek Orthodox, and other religious leaders remembered those who perished on 9/11 and prayed for peace.
Cantor Schwartz, sang the memorial prayer Eil Maleh Rahamim with the text adapted to the 9/11 victims. He closed with Oseh Shalom: May the One who makes peace on high bring peace to us and to all Israel and to all who dwell on earth. Amen.

Rabbi Schwartz is an incredible cantor. When he sings, his voice fills ones ears, ones mind and ones heart with the spirit and presence of G-d, evoking joy in times of happiness and peace and comfort in times of sadness.
Amén. Thanks God for give us such a wonderfull cantor
Well said! Anointed man he is
Cantor Azi is a human treasure - for those of all faiths and those of none. Such a gift he is.
Cantor Schwartz has such a magnificent voice and decorum. Although I do not understand the words and am a Christian, I find his beautiful singing brings me closer to God. Thank you Cantor for allowing us to share in your worship.
As a Jew, it's so moving for me to see a Catholic cardinal singing (or mouthing the words to) "Oseh shalom bimromav" at 5:03. 🙏
He was singing with his small voice, HaShem hears all, and for a Catholic to know these words, I am with you. We all MUST move forward out of this nightmare. No more death from COVID-19 or any other, no more violence at the hands of the corrupt.
As a Catholic, I am glad to see this as well.
Christians who go to colleges to become prelates must learn Hebrew and read the real Bible in the original. After all, Jesus WAS Jewish, spoke Hebrew and Aramaic and knew the real Bible.
Thanks for pointing that out I didn’t notice it before
Don't forget where Catholic church come from:)
I am a Filipino although I do not understand Cantor azi Schwartz how's the most beautiful voice in human history amen for cantor and for the fallen✝️🪦
We’re blessed to be able to hear you Cantor
Cantor Azi Schwartz beautiful voice resonates straight to heaven where All those dear souls dwell Amen
Azi Schwartz's voice is a gift from God.
I have no denomination at all, but seeing people of ALL religions come together under prayer, regardless of who it is that's leading it, is absolutely beautiful. Goes to show that the desire for love and peace and unity is actually more inherent to humanity than we care to admit. This moved me to tears, what a gift, what a voice...
Beautiful ❤️ what a beautiful vessel God created to carry such a beautiful and blessed voice

Such a voice is truly a gift from God.
And that he uses it in service to God is a blessing to all.
Unbelievably powerful and moving.
I've heard them all but no one comes close to Azi. He is incredible. would sell my soul to attend a live concert.
I know very little or nothing about Judaism, but one thing is for certain, Cantors are the lynch pin of any Jewish service, specially like THIS cantor( Mtmr Schwartz). A fabulous and beautifully trained voice.
Azi your voice is magnificent. If I was Pope Francis I'd have been trying to convert you so you could come and serve as cantor to masses at the Vatican. Your voice honours God just as any Bernini sculpture or Michelangelo fresco.
Very beautiful !
it brought tears to my eyes Cantor!
+Tracey Connell me too.
Me too
Shalom
May G..d bless and keep him well for all to know and enjoy.
I love how the Cardinals are singing. They must be traditional Catholics. Christianity came right out of Judaism....We are all One! Baruch Hashem!
Jewish and Christs have the same God and he is the creator. At other they have no Prophets and nothing what Gid sayed to the world. Catolics had kill other Christians and Jewish-- they are not read the Bibel? Many not are Christian.. only Catolic and have many bad religions thigns… they are not the same.
Si, nuestra religión catolica es judeo-cristiana.Son nuestros hermanos mayores.

And singing along on Ose Shalom is an old Catholic priest....as it should be ....we are all one.

It is the tearing away at your heart and its tears. It is the Yad Vashem of NYC . I doubt if anyone else can light a candle to what Azi Schwartz has just spoken in song.

A Farewell to Arms.
I need this prayer pls comment it if anyone has it.
Every Jewish prayer book does.
I found this on the internet. Here is the first part of the prayer, El Rahamin, an ancient prayer for mourners. Note that Gan Eden means the Garden of Eden. Cantor Avi revised it for 9/11 victims. The closest equivalent for the Shechinah for Christians is the Holy Spirit, but Jews do not believe in The Trinity, in this case, it means the Divine Presence. "O G-d, full of compassion, Who dwells on high, grant true rest upon the wings of the Shechinah, in the exalted spheres of the holy and pure, who shine as the resplendence of the firmament, to the souls of Victims of September 11th who [have] gone to their eternal home; may their place of rest be in Gan Eden. Therefore, may the All-Merciful One shelter them with the cover of His wings forever, and bind their souls in the bond of life. The Lord is their heritage; may they rest in peace; and let us say: Amen!".
RESPECT!
חללויה שלום
Baruch Hashem
May their memories be a blessing.
Fico um pouco alerta com tais encontros ...

What did pope francis for peace between Israel and Palestine? Tell me please!
As a Hebrew speaker I can understand the words, but I can’t help but wonder if the holy people surrounding him can somehow understand the essence of their meaning through his profoundly emotive voice.
Hazaque ou barouh
mau presságio: una unificación de las religiones !!! see or what it is,and what it is
can someone translate I'm Part Jewish but I cant understand Hebrew?
god full of mercies
that lives in the heights
find a right rest
under the wings of your memory
by the rise of holy and pure humans
like the sun that lights,
save the souls of our brothers and sisters,
victims of the terror in 9/11,
save the souls of the secure forces and the fire fighters
that gave their lives for keeping your holiness
so the god full of mercies, will hide them under his protection, forever
3:03- bind their souls (x3) in the bond of the existence, and the god's heritage(תנצב״ה-tnzb"a)
make they will rest in peace
Amen (4:16)
does peace from throne, will bring peace upon us and upon whole israel
does peace, does peace, will bring peace on you and israel
does peace, does peace, will bring peace upon us, and upon humans
ראובן חלטוב
*_does peace, does peace, will bring peace upon us, and upon humans_*
In the above last sentence, which are *US* and who are *HUMANS*?
Is the jew super-human?
US - WHO LISTENS THE PRAY
HUMANS - WHO DOESNT, BUT STILL BLESSED
ראובן חלטוב, *NOPE, iF CORRECTLY TRANSLATED, IT STANDS FOR GOOD REASONING TO ADMIT AN EVIDENT SEPARATION BETWEEN THE JEW AND THE REST OF US.ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING YOUR INTENT TO CHEAT.!*
*RUDOLPH ABOVE WAS AT LEAST HONEST ACKNOWLEDGING THE OBVIOUS.*
@@jgalindes You are really dishonest. The EL Maleh RAHAMIM Prayer is the Orthodox prayer for each Jew who died This is the Translation you can find in Wikipedia
O G‑d, full of compassion, Who dwells on high, grant true rest upon the wings of the Shechinah (Divine Presence), in the exalted spheres of the holy and pure, who shine as the resplendence of the firmament, to the soul of
(mention his Hebrew name and that of his father)
who has gone to his [supernal] world, for charity has been donated in remembrance of his soul; may his place of rest be in Gan Eden. Therefore, may the All-Merciful One shelter him with the cover of His wings forever, and bind his soul in the bond of life. The Lord is his heritage; may he rest in his resting-place in peace; and let us say: Amen.
Cantor ADI SCHWARTZ is not an orthodox Jew but A Reform Jew and he included in his prayer all persons who died in September 11 2001 terrorist attacks , whatever their religion was. The word TERROR is clearly understandable pronouced by the CANTOR. If you knew the Jewish religion better, you would know that in each of the 3 Religious prayers of each day of the orthodox jews there is a prayer for all human beeings obeying the Last 7 commandments of Moses called The NOAH's Commandments and they are said actually for all human beings believing in God or not, a far as they obey the moral laws vis a vis each human being.
Cantor Adi Schwartz said after the MALEH RAHAMIM Prayer The OSE SHALOM Prayer Where it is said "(o God) Bring Peace upon us and upon all the people of Israel but at th last sentence he added and upon all mankind ...........
It is obvious that Jews believe that God Chose them for propagating The MORAL LAW TO ALL MANKIND. This Choice or "election"is God is not a symbol of superiority but a a hard moral duty and responsability. "THou shall be for me a Nation of PRIIESTS". All Rabbis and Jews know that God chose the smallest and powerless group of human beings for disclosing who " he" is for Mankind, THE GREATNESS OF HIS NAME and what "he" expects from each human being.
For Jews The moral law is Moses 's Law with its interpretations with time but with IMPERATIVE INVARIANTS.
Saul of Tarsus (Saint Paul for the Christians) decided to renounce, to give up to the Law of Moses with the goal of winning the battle against Romans by ethical Rules involving the abrogation of the strict rules of Moses Law. The Jews do not believe that The Unique God exists under Three Forms, They still believe in the Moses Law and believe that this Law is valid in the World existing after Death. They do not adhere to the New Testament. They still do not believe Jesus was the Messiah since there was none general resurrection of the dead people.......They Believe that all human beings are sons and daughters of God and that Jesus was just one of them. Thus YES there are diverse religions separated by different dogmas and conceptions of the World. This Oecumenic prayer should not be a matter of conflict and contentions. There are diverse denominations of Jews, of Christians , of Muslims.......etc
We should find what is common and live in peace and not create conflicts, especially by using religions as pretext. Everybody is entitled to have his or her own faith as far as this Faith is not a source of hatred against any Human beeing
And I am so sad I am not...
Wonderful to see a Rabbi with a Muslim pope!
Azi Schwartz's praying really impressed the non-Catholic antipope praying with & beside him, Anti-Pope Francis.
God Blessed my Israel. ✡️✡️🇺🇲🇺🇲
It's really reassuring as a c asthoilic that the pope john paul and the current his holiness pope Francis have both attended synagouges the temple mount and a mosque .I met young jewish child many yrs ago and despite my limited Hebrew I could understand her inscription on her necklace I.n.r.i (I am the king of the jews ) placed on jesus cross as he was being crucified turned out her dad was a progressive jew and I sang a church hymn to her and she smiled at to the child mentioned my mother was a Catholic small world we live in
de grootheid van god is niet te beperken in een godsdienst
