STOP LYING!! John 17:22 I have given them the GLORY that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one- 23 I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Luke 9: 28 ...he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. 29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. 30 Two men, (SAINTS)Moses and Elijah, appeared in GLORIOUS SPLENDOR, talking with Jesus. 31 They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem.

An Original: Christians are welcome in synagogues. Men are asked to cover their heads.
In Reform Temples, men don't necessarily cover their heads.
There are usually Christians at Jewish Passover community meals.
The 'joke' is this: All Jewish families now contain Christian members. Not all Christian families contain Jewish members because there are not enough to go around.

So the beginning part is just a blessing for wine, strung along with a “nigun,” that “lay-lalala-lay lay” which doesn’t “mean” anything, it just builds the community and spiritual feel. Then he leads everyone in the Shema, Jewish statement of faith “here oh Israel, lord is our god, lord is one...” followed by a chanting of “Adonai Hu ha-Elohim” which further confirms “lord is our God.” Yom Kippur services especially I find very moving. Take a look at “Kol nidre” if you ever have a chance.

I am Catholic and I love the beautiful heritage we have been given by our Jewish brothers and sisters. Jesus came from the line of David. Abraham is our father in faith. I am 67 years old and was in Israel once. It's really the only place I want to visit if I get the chance. When you are on a tour, you don't always get the time to spend appreciating the rich history and tradition. I want to learn Biblical Hebrew, Aramaic, and modern Hebrew. Just a question, is the congregation above Orthodox or conservative? Please forgive my lack of knowIedge. don't know the differences. I think that Mt. Sinai is still in a restricted area that tourists cannot go to, but I would love to see it. Shalom and thank you for sharing this beautiful Yom Kippur finale.

Lots of questions in the comments section. This is a conservative synagogue. Tallit (prayer shawls) are worn throughout the entire day of prayer in the synagogue (as opposed to Shabbat). Some women in conservative congregations wear tallit, but most still do not (it's traditional that only men wear them, but times are changing). The particular part of the service in the video is the tail end of Ne'ilah, the end of Yom Kippur and the Yamim Nora'im (High Holy Days). The congregants have been fasting for an entire day (no food or water except for medical needs), and have been in the synagogue for most of the day for the various parts of the service. Everybody is tired and hungry by this point, and eager to get home for a break-the-fast meal (no meal ever tasted better). The final sounding of the shofar (ram's horn) signals the close of all prayers, and everyone is slightly loopy. Everyone will file or of the synagogue into a multipurpose hall or foyer for kiddush (blessing over wine) and hamotzi (blessing over bread, or challah), and then they can go home for a bigger meal and change into their jammies to watch TV! That's the end of Yom Kippur!

In the Netherlands this would not be called a conservative synagogue, but a liberal one. Women and men in a conservative synagogue are sitting apart from each other. Also filming it will not be allowed on such a holy day, even at the end of Yom Kippur. It's a different perspective what is liberal and conservative in my country :-)

I’m Christian and am reading the Bible cover to cover now... realizing the importance of and connection to Jewish faith. Essentially that the angels bring them up to heaven purified and breathed in by God!

      You should really check yourself
Christianity Pagan religion believes in the human sacrifice of an innocent person, eating dead human flesh and drinking blood as a must ritual, that believes in three gods based on the writings of Paul Hellenistic Jews, which mislead and twisted the Jewish scripture, the entire Hellenistic order instilled by the Church Fathers who brought this idolatry.
Christianity that murdered, burned, crucified, buried alive, raped and forcibly arrested millions of Jews in the name of the crucifixion similar to the purity and beauty of Judaism?
This is apparently due to a lack of knowledge and a fundamental understanding of what Judaism is all about in its wisdom against the other pale religions of both Christian and Muslim pagans.
it is good for all Christian to ask questions an look for the truth by comparing the twisted new testament to the real God inspired books of the Jewish scriptures.
