I met t hin in Emden (small town in Northern Germany) in the early 80ies. He blew the roof off the House. He was a l bit dnuk that evening. Great Performance!!!!
die zwingenbergers sah ich in zürich ca. in dieser zeit und jack dupre an einem fest in der schweiz vor sechzig jahren. sympathisch war er nicht und sturzbesoffen.
Jack was a good friend of mine. It is a pity we never recorded together, he should have been on my recording with the Kenn Lending Blues band. Him and Kenn did over 400 concerts together.
Dies hat er abgelehnt: " oh no, on this music, that is like chineese music to me" Dan hat er auf mir einen Sticker überreicht und darauf ein Autogramm gegeben :-)
I've meat him 35 years ago in a lill pub with South African guitar player Ken Lending. We've got some shots together after the show. A day in my life I'll never forget. Still a billion N'Orle jokes i can tell.
no palco da vida,nós,ainda vivos, sabemos:a boa musica é eterna.......a morte nos leva embora antes do fim do show.....deixamos a herança ....rockandroll never die.

What shameful physical behavior are you talking about??? Jack Dupree gyrating on the stage??? Nothing shameful, he's doing what's called getting into the groove.
Love his playing, his songs, his humour....thanks for posting and thank you Mr Dupree

Definetly one of my favorites !
The best, sincère à font! Le Dupree!!!
That man could swing and shake a room with one finger, I saw it in '78 in Germany.
I met him yesterday at ALDI buying some no-label Whiskey!
You met a ghost. Jack Dupree has been dead for almost 30 years.

this is fabulous!! the sets with him and King Curtis are a MUST SEE too and I always say "God bless whoever had the sense to record them.
The Champion has the best blues singing and playing, and so emotional harmonies.

I bought a cassette of Jack Dupree music after I read Dr. John's autobiography.
Jack was one of New Orleans' music's great personalities, his story telling is even better than his musicanship.
Love his playful sense of humor.
What a warm talented lovely man! And, his cool music is addictive!!
Fantastic from a real Blues/Boogie Master. thank you for sharing
One of my favorite blues guys. I have his From New Orleans to Chicago album - really great!
