Had a spornia for around three years, from Dubai sun to now Italy. Thing is fantastic. Worth every penny
Great video! This net is the best for practice when you need to take down and put back up. Can do within minutes. Congrats on your channel! Growing fast!
Thank you! Yeah 100% true it is remarkably easy and durable!
Thank you for your support and welcome to the channel
I’m not criticising at all. I think it’s great that you’ve done an updated review of the net!!
Just maybe try and place your mic in a different spot, maybe on your hat rather than your jacket. This would then fade out your jacket and concentrate more on the net.
Keep up the good work 👍
Hi, First let me say welcome to the channel and thanks for commenting.
I understand what you are saying and i think i will do this in my next videos, its good feedback i appreciate the input.
Thanks for watching
Thanks so much for the review. Looking to build a setup at home!
No problems at all, thank you for watching and welcome to the channel.
Good luck with your setup! Reach out if you ever have any questions
Good video, I also have the Spornia net. Wish one thing that the net could setup with the back straighter with lean forward.
Awesome review.. Thank you.
No problems, i am glad you found it helpful. Welcome to the channel!
Nice, thanks for the tips
No problems, welcome to the channel!
Agree about the range balls. Even the "premium" range balls feel rubbish and leave marks on the clubface. I use balls that I have played a round with - in a game that involves precise skills and measurements why would you skimp on balls that are different to what you actually play with - at least if you are not just playing for pure entertainment and not trying to get bettter
Good video mate. We’re in the process of buying an apartment so I’ll have to see how sound proof the new place is 😬😬😬
Thanks mate, welcome to the channel.
Nice one, an apartment may have some challenges but when there is a will there is way! haha
highly recommend this net, especially because you can take it down and set it up in under 10 minutes if need be.
Good luck the with the move!
Thanks
I’ve had the same net now for two seasons of golf, really enjoy it. Product is well made, hasn’t failed and is easy setup and take down. I usually just mid irons to wedges, which has been huge to my short game as I have evolved from poor to very good, repetitive work on various techniques with the net. The noise is a non issue for me, the ball return area is improved with a support to hold it up in the air a bit more to allow the balls to collect. I have a 6’x6’ turf pad placed 1-2’ from net and no extended side panels.
Yeah i am with you, great product all round and sounds like you have a good little setup, welcome to the channel!
What pad and happy with it?
Welcome to the channel!@@jeffknecht2733
In terms of pad i would be having a guess you are asking about the hitting mat?
I got it from the spornia website, its the cheapest mat option which
to be honest, not happy with it at all, but i have to make do until i can afford a better one.
Sorry, I can't find the info., it was a firm in Austin, TX. A couple of things; it's 5'x5'x1" thick which I like, doesn't shed at all, and there is some residue left of the club, but it wipes right off. You can hit on all four sides which have a hole for rubber tees. @@jeffknecht2733
Don't cheap out on a hitting mat. You need a good hitting mat to prevent injuries to the joints expecially when your hit fat shots.
Great review, definitely helpful! Question - I see you have your net budded up against the wall. How far away from the wall do you have it so that if you do shank a ball, the net has plenty of space to catch the ball without still hitting the wall?
Thank you and welcome to the channel!
I dont have much clearance from the wall and the net does work pretty well in catching stray shots.
I just published a new video that gives you a closer look at the net placement and clearance which should help see it a little closer.
Thx!
No problems, welcome to the channel and thanks for watching.
Ah perfect timing, i'm moving to Australia end of next month and i want to setup something like this with a skytrak and tv for a simulator. Good to see theres enough space in the garage, thanks for heads up about the noise though. Question though, do creepy crawlies find the netting a nice place to nest or am i overthinkikg it 😅
Welcome to the channel!
Awesome to hear your making Australia home! Where are you moving from?
Skytrack and tv will go really well for this setup!
In terms of creepy crawlies i have not had any issues during the time i have owned it, So i would say to you not to worry based on my experience with it!
Good luck with the move and keep us updated on your golf setup!
@denhampereiragolf moving from UK. Was contemplating doing it in Garage but worried about having enough space for the skytrak simulator to pick it up. Otherwise was gonna sort out a garden setup instead. Still not too sure as I weight all the pros and cons.
Would be able to get cheeky 10-20min sessions in garage but I also want to park 2 cars in there too 🤦🏻♂️
Garden would be better overall for sure but then if it's raining or dark I will have a problem.
Either way can't wait to move and enjoy better weather and more time to enjoy and hopefully get good at golf 😅
I’ve heard of people getting a padded moving blanket or something similar, then cutting to the size of the target area and hanging it behind to reduce the impact noise.
yeah i have seen that too, i may consider something like that especially for the very back wall, I actually missed the net for the first time in 8 months, early morning stiff swing completely hoseled one haha! so that has definitely got me thinking about something like what you are talking about!
Thanks for sharing
Hey with the side net do you think you can safely hit safely 8 feet away from the net? interested in picking a launch monitor for sim play.
Hey welcome to the channel,
So i have measured it out and honestly you should be fine, i am roughly 7-8 ft from the impact sheet and even if i move another foot back the would still catch any bad shanks.
Are you looking the Garmin r10?
You can get egg cartons and put them on the wall and they will deaden the sound, inexpensive trick that works well.
Welcome to the channel,
Thanks for the recommendation, im sure there will be people looking for cost effective solutions to this.
Sorry, I had this, the straps and plastic clips failed after four months. I couldn’t believe My Golf Spy said this was the best! I got a simple 7’ by 7’ by 3’ net it’s perfect I can move it easily into my shed in the winter! Good luck folks
Hey Richard, Thats disappointing to hear, this net is great however its not perfect. i have owned it for about 5 months now and have used it just about every day, so far so good.
Thanks for commenting and adding value.
Sorry this question is about your gold but the insulation because u live in Australia. U said it helps the weather what do u mean by that ? Eg keeps heat out, makes it cools ?
No problems,
The insulation is on the back of my garage door these insulation sheets help keep the garage cooler on hot days and warmer on colder days! also good for blocking a little bit of sound that comes from hitting golf balls! welcome to the channel!
Do you think getting the spg-8 would be worth it? Compared to the 7
Welcome to the channel!
I think the SPG-8 if you can financially and from a space perspective get it is most definitely a better option but it really is dependent on how much space you are working with, i wanted something wouldnt take over my garage space (so the mrs could park her car) and i could still do other workshop stuff in there.
Highly recommend measuring out the area you are working with and going from there.
How are you wearing a jacket in Australia lol
It gets Cold down here too! lol winter time can get pretty gnarly in Melbourne, no snow but cold nonetheless!
welcome to the channel
You mean the sound of your jacket? 😅
Haha sorry about that! Obviously thought it was alright but your the second person that mentioned it! My bad
Get yourself a metaquest 2 and golf plus .👍
Thanks for the suggestion! Il take a look at it!
@@denhampereiragolfI’ve played it before it’s worth it 👍
