Another suggestion: maybe try to make them like blue attacks,preventable by shooting yellow bullets,each shot is based off the weapon you use,basically instead of attacking every turn you attack by aiming on a target (boss/monster) dealing a random damage,you can still spare tho

I think you get softlocked when theres any type of ending when beating a boss, when beating sans he just dies and you just keep to go instantly, same with undying, she just dies and you instatly get to keep walking, but since the defuse counts as a pacify muffet has some dialogue right away after ending the battle, same with mettaton, alphys calls you to see if youre okay, point is that youre probably going to get softlocked if theres any type of special interaction when ending a certain fight.
