actually, flowey's laugh is an edited version of a laugh from the warner bros. sound effect library. toby's actually used the sound effect in a few homestuck tracks, such as "the lordling" and "a very trickster mode christmas (with fancy santas)."
A personal favorite fact of mine: In a series of old, deleted tweets, Toby mentioned that he found a quiche under a bench, then, hours later, tweeted something in the style of undertale flavour text, describing how "you"(meaning Frisk) experience a tremour of shame at the mere thought of dropping the Quiche, which ultimately never made it into the game but aligns with how the Quiche is treated as an analogy for abandoned children and how Frisk seems to sympathize with it. Toby found a quiche under a bench and within hours had plans to add it to his game as a way of implying that his silent protagonist is an abandoned child, and that is hilarious to me. -Also, not to be that guy but Boss Monster Aging is just reliant on if they have living biological parents/children. The parent's soul power flows into the child, aging both at the same time. Nothing to do with the current age of the parent and child, only on there being at least one of both. Asgore and Toriel were, in fact, aging while Asriel was alive.-

Crashing is a lot bigger of a deal on console, the game literally freezes for a while and then you get an error code telling you to try again later, its not like on pc where it just closes

Here's my theory for how 3D Toriel is canon: After Toriel left, Asgore was so heartbroken that he took her DNA (let's say a few hairs from her throne) and gave them to the royal scientist to try to clone her. Unfortunately, due to an error, the clone came out extremely unstable and broken. It was so degenerated, it was able to alter physics and passed through the barrier with no problem. It now wanders through the surface, weirding the heck out of anyone it meets. Feel free to chip in with your own ideas.
Or also as someone else said here, it also could be that 3D Toriel is presents in asriel’s videogame in deltarune. If it’s true, it means that the two universes are connected

Awesome video, learned some stuff. I once again got a reminder of how much useless information I just know about this game. Here's 3 bits of useless info I can think of off the top of my head. 1. If you change your name in the save file, in the stat menu a message that says "Easy to change, huh?" appears. 2. There's an unused sprite called spr_torboss_suicide, it's her hurt sprite but she's smiling instead of grimacing. She never does something like that in the game. However, Asgore does, if you try to spare him after killing flowey. 3. In the code for the Toriel Fight Intro, there's a check that checks for the kill count in Ruins AND Snowdin. The counts are checking to see if the kills match the Genocide route amount. If they are met, (easy to check via debug mode, or save file editing or modifying the code itself) different dialogue plays "* Prove to me that you are... * Hey, let me finish" and then the fight starts on its own. It is interesting to note that if you do the Genocide route on the Demo, these lines do actually show up. But in the final game, since it is normally impossible to get to Snowdin without fighting Toriel, these lines go unused.
fun fact: it's not just the "that's a wonderful idea" that got used from the commercial. one of photoshop flowey's voice lines seems to be taken from ronald saying "can'tcha," and there are three unused voice lines that seem to say "hi," "triple," and "jafe (whatever that means)." however, they also seem to come from the same commercial, with ronald saying "ah," "triple (the only word that actually matches," and "shake," as the commercial seemed to be advertising milkshakes (i think?).

I thought I knew EVERY single fact and secret about Undertale, even the most obscure ones... and even though I did already know about half of the stuff in this video, you still surprised me with a lot of stuff I DIDN'T know. Undertale's really one of those games where you're always learning something new about it.

yknow, as someone who had a hyperfixation on undertale for like... two years after it was released, and then again once deltarune came out? I'm surprised that I didn't know multiple facts here (mostly the visual effects like the lamp and hotland, but also the merch stuff and the activity levels bit).. then again I'm more of a lore and gameplay person, so I just know stuff like different dialogue options depending on what you've done before even across save files... the different ways to get different flags in the ball game on the way to snowdin... all the places to speedrun glitch and what they do... pretty easy things to remember when you've played/watched someone play the game like a billion times

Random fact: Alphys’ theme, along with Noelle’s and Berdly’s all lack any sort of way to tie them back to the rest of the OST’s The rest of Undertale’s main cast, as well as Susie and Lancer’s themes are all connected in some sort of way. I think it was actually because steam wouldn't allow your game to delete files (like with inscryption) so he had to change it

2. There's an unused sprite called spr_torboss_suicide, it's her hurt sprite but she's smiling instead of grimacing. She never does something like that in the game. However, Asgore does, if you try to spare him after killing flowey.
3. In the code for the Toriel Fight Intro, there's a check that checks for the kill count in Ruins AND Snowdin. The counts are checking to see if the kills match the Genocide route amount. If they are met, (easy to check via debug mode, or save file editing or modifying the code itself) different dialogue plays "* Prove to me that you
are... * Hey, let me finish" and then the fight starts on its own. It is interesting to note that if you do the Genocide route on the Demo, these lines do actually show up. But in the final game, since it is normally impossible to get to Snowdin without fighting Toriel, these lines go unused.

fun fact: it's not just the "that's a wonderful idea" that got used from the commercial. one of photoshop flowey's voice lines seems to be taken from ronald saying "can'tcha," and there are three unused voice lines that seem to say "hi," "triple," and "jafe (whatever that means)." however, they also seem to come from the same commercial, with ronald saying "ah," "triple (the only word that actually matches," and "shake," as the commercial seemed to be advertising milkshakes (i think?).

The "unused" chara sprite is used, but difficult to see. In waterfall if you have debug on, you have to press space I think when you're on top of the reflective puddles.
I thought I knew EVERY single fact and secret about Undertale, even the most obscure ones... and even though I did already know about half of the stuff in this video, you still surprised me with a lot of stuff I DIDN'T know. Undertale's really one of those games where you're always learning something new about it.

yknow, as someone who had a hyperfixation on undertale for like... two years after it was released, and then again once deltarune came out? I'm surprised that I didn't know multiple facts here (mostly the visual effects like the lamp and hotland, but also the merch stuff and the activity levels bit).. then again I'm more of a lore and gameplay person, so I just know stuff like different dialogue options depending on what you've done before even across save files... the different ways to get different flags in the ball game on the way to snowdin... all the places to speedrun glitch and what they do... pretty easy things to remember when you've played/watched someone play the game like a billion times

For the Flowey theme being similar to the Fun Song, I have a theory that this is actually a universal theme for innocence, as I find it also VERY SIMILAR to "Theme 2" from Kirby's Avalanche, and "Lemon Tree" by Fool's Garden. Anyone else know completely unrelated songs with this leitmotif?
The "unused Chara" shown at 2:06 is actually used, you need to enable debug mode, and press space in the waterfall room where water is on the ground and reflects you, after pressing space your reflection will be this sprite.

The rest of Undertale’s main cast, as well as Susie and Lancer’s themes are all connected in some sort of way.
For example, how does one get from Lancer’s theme to Spear of Justice? Lancers theme is in Chaos King, which has The Legend in it.
Quiet Autumn has The Legend as well as Quiet Water. Quiet water has Ruins, and Spear of Justice also has Ruins.
Alternatively you can skip bothering with quiet autumn and go to THE WORLD REVOLVING, which is in BIG SHOT, which has Power of NEO in it, which is based on Battle Against a True Hero, which has the variation of the Ruins melody found in An ending/Don’t Give Up!/Respite, and ruins is once again in Spear of Justice
