    Part 2: goo.gl/mvstTx
    Part 1: goo.gl/nngFnV
    ---------------------------
In this clip, Lord Jamar discussed the passing of Lil Peep and the overall drug-user culture in hip-hop today. Lord Jamar dissected 21 Savage's comments about there being no moral difference between the previous generation selling drugs versus this current generation abusing them. To Lord Jamar, this comment sounds good on the surface, but he considers it an unwise stance. As he pointed out, drug use was prevalent in previous generations, and if only the younger rappers listened to the old heads, they wouldn't have to engage the same battles.
The conversation expanded to the overall generational divide in hip-hop today. But Lord Jamar doesn't consider himself a hater toward this generation in particular. He brought up the fact that music and moments are spanning the entire 40-year existence of hip-hop that he has problems with.

True the young generation can learn from that but some of them have to go through it before it hits them but on the other hand with every generation they are told not do this & that but being young you don't want to listen they thought they were grown it's a cycle that gets worse

I hate drugs. Always have. I don't respect drug dealers. I DEFINITELY don't respect drug usage, they need help because there is nothing cool about being an addict. Sadly, many young people believe the higher and crazier you are (turned up) the cooler you are. If you personally believe this too be true you need to take a long look in the mirror and make a list of goals you would like to accomplish and how you plan on accomplishing them.

NWA definitely rapped about what they saw in the hood, and thank God they did! That music helped expose police brutality in L.A. & throughout Black neighborhoods worldwide. And it gave precedence to the Rodney King beating, the four L.A. cops acquittal, & the ensuing 1992 L.A. riots. Rap MUST be a pipeline with a purpose.

If anything i would argue that nwa was one of the big reasons rap turned into trash.
before rap used to be pro black and supportive
Yes they talked about what happened in the hood but the messege was unity/ getting out of the hood./ Coming back to help your hood when you have the resource etc.
NWA did not premote that and if they did. it was Small
That started this trend. Of gangster rapper who would destroy the minds of our children
Police brutality would have been brought to the forefront sooner or later without Nwa so yea
The music became toxic catchy but toxic just bcuz you are an old person does not make you an elder and as we see nwa was a liability more than an asset
Ignorence is truely bliss until you start to understand the complexity of this situation.
Im gonna get hate for this but i dont give a fuck NWA was not good for the community at all. People already knew of police brutality. Beforhand

Perspectives change, just like the times. Also back then hip hop was about empowerment, now it’s about subjugation and control, hence encouraging drug-user type of music. Powers that be don’t want more political empowerment parties, like the Black Panthers, they want fiends that are easy to subjugate and manipulate.

It's just different now. When I was a kid rappers were the cool guys. They were the confident ones. Now rappers are the anti-social and awkward ones. I grew up in the hood around crack and gangs. I didn't want to listen to some depressed, drug addicted rapper talking about how bad his life was. I saw enough of that around me. I liked rappers who tried to punch above their weight class in life. I'm amazed that so many love these depressed, sick looking rappers.

I didn't bring up jamars music. I brought up jamar saying that he made mistakes as a kid and learned from them and is trying to pass on knowledge. I understand and respect that, but I'm saying that jamars words or wisdom go over alot of these young niggas heads simply because jamar isnt relevant like that anymore. Not saying his music was trash or what it was promoting. I'm just saying that it seemed contradictory for jamar to be angry that the youth didn't take his advice. Not because the advice was bad but ppl only know jamar from Vlad nowadays. So if you don't watch vlads jamar interviews, your not gonna hear what he has to say. And then I said that when jamar was a younger makin mistakes, they're was probably alot of old heads from his time who coulda gave good advice. But jamar just ain't hear it cuz those old heads weren't relevant and the youth missed alot of potentially good advice simply cuz they weren't exposed to the old heads.
And I like a wide range of sounds from diff places, eras, and ppl. Im not confined to one specific era of music and I dont start bashing anyone who likes shit I dont.

These young mf's today don't Listen to or Respect their elders & OG's so expecting them to learn from our mistakes is a losing battle. Difference is being a drug abuser was taboo in the 80's & 90's but now it's considered cool. DMX was a crackhead, JaRule popped pills but at the height of their fame the fans didn't know that! Pimp C's addiction (lean/pills) wasn't exposed until his death. Dirt was done behind closed doors then. It's the pusher vs the fiend mentality.

But most of the rappers I use to and still do listen to due to lack of content from 90 percent of rappers today is these people promoting drug using and we ain't talking about weed. Gabriel Ferretiz The problem nowadays is not “respect all your elders” mindset. No young niggas have that. Now they have the “I’ll respect you, when you show respect back”
So when old rappers are saying new niggas are trash, the new niggas ain’t gonna respect them and it creates a cycle of hating on each other.

I think I'd respect Lords comment more if he explained the difference of what 90s hustler rappers were talking about compared to today's rappers. 90s rappers glorified getting paid off of heavy drugs, while today's rappers glorify getting paid AND getting high on heavy drugs. That's a huge difference. He could've also said that rappers have a huge sphere of influence and what they say dictates the next generations motivations and movements. Being addicted to medication because it was cool is not something to pass on to anyone.

ALEJANDRO ANGEL Hebrews were never black. Genetic studies show this, history, anthropology, etc.
Egyptians have barely changed genetically over the past few thousand years genetically and they are not black. They are mostly indigenous with 20 percent Arab DNA and few percent of European.
Cushitic peoples have around 40-50 percent Semitic DNA and speak a middle eastern language and follow a middle eastern culture. They are an Afro-Asiatic peoples.

    • @alejandroangel5908

middle eastern atheist , hebrews were blacks , the bible describes them as black people who came
from ethopia , egyptian are still black to this day in south egypt , which is called nubia now , theres no
difference between north or side , its the same people , semetic are cushites , blacks , you are a atheist right
which means you dont believe in god , but you believe in evolution , which means you believe in something
theres no way that a big ball created all of this

    • @bIaZze778
      @bIaZze778 6 лет назад

ALEJANDRO ANGEL Doesn’t matter what the bible says because half of it is BS. Look at science, history and other methods to find truth.
Semitic aren’t Cushitic peoples. Cushitic people are a product of middle eastern Semites migrating into east Africa thousands of years ago and mixing with them. They are brown skinned with Caucasian features. They are Afro-Asiatic meaning they aren’t only Afro peoples.
Egyptians in the south mostly carry haplogroup J1 meaning they are mostly middle eastern genetically. In the north they carry E (North African Berber). The lighter skinned Egyptians are more African genetically LOLLLL.
Scientists genetically tested mummies in Egypt too. Most of them were haplogroups E in early Egyptian history. Later on in history they had more and more European haplogroups.
